Yet another complaint about a hopeless company! Given a delivery slot of 12:30 – 13:00, fine. At 13:40 I check their tacking page to find that it was delivered at12: 51,and to top it all was signed for by myself. Well I had been sitting right by my front door all the time and had not answered the door to anyone, or more importantly, signed for anything. Contacted the company who I was buying from, and was informed that it was delivered to 51 King%4£ Road. I live at 235, so god knows why it was delivered there. Anyway I take a walk to 51, which turns out to be an office. They had not received any deliveries from DPD. I then contact the DPD help desk, who initially sound helpful. They contact the driver who I am told will return to wherever he had delivered the parcel to and bring it to me (having confirmed my address with them). So I wait in for a further 2 hours, does my parcel turn up, does it f…… It is bad enough delivering to totally wrong address, but then the persistent lying is totally out of order. Saying firstly that I have signed for the parcel, then telling me that they have spoken to the driver, who was going to sort it out, is outrageous. This company is consistently terrible; I only wish that we could choose which courier service companies’ use. STAY WELL AWAY FROM DPD!

Your service sucks! You just dumped my sofa in my apartment block and didn't deliver it to my apartment. Not did you even make the effort to deliver it with proper notice on the day I said I would be in. How am I supposed to get it up the stairs? You left it to get damaged and then have the audacity to tell me this is delivery and a 'service'. Appalling excuse for a company. Completely disgusted.

The driver failed to deliver the parcel four times, entirely ignoring my instructions to leave it in a safe place and didn't even leave a card. After failing to deliver the parcel to my home address they refused to deliver it (two shirts) to a pick up point because it was presumably too big. Customer service is irresponsive, leaving all complaints by email unanswered. When I called them they kept me waiting in a queue for 30 minutes that cost me £20. I will not purchase anything online from companies that use DPD as a courier.

Twice the driver failed to deliver and I was in both times. No card was left, still waiting today for delivery, fingers crossed. Will not purchase anything else that uses DPD as a courier. Have had this twice before.

A delivery parcel service that doesn't deliver parcels or service. I don't quite get the concept but I'm definitely gonna start my own company using the same business model. Keep up the decidedly less than average work dpd, at least you're consistent.

Ordered something from body shop which was sent to a dpd depot the next day. After over a week of tracking my parcel, and seeing the estimated delivery date change daily, I contacted dpd only to be told the parcel was 'damaged' and suggested I get in touch with the body shop. Great, more to-ing and fro-ing and now a 72 hour wait for a reply from them. Why didnt the dpd contact either myself or the shop initially with the info, I have no idea. How about employing a dedicated customer service rep at each depot to deal with similar, rather than putting the customer to work?

For a large delivery I paid to have a package delivered in the morning, upgraded to the 8:30-12:30 time. At 10am, I get a message saying it will be delivered between 14:30-15:30. I had a business meeting at 13:30, so couldn't stay any longer. I didn't want to book again, as I will just have to pay for another upgrade and I figure system can't figure it out. Today I received a message at 10am, saying it will be delivered between 9:50-10:50, but of course I'm at work. I'll take another morning off to try again tomorrow, as bless the driver he's a very nice guy and seems willing to try and figure out a time. I just like things to make sense.

I am the calmest person on the planet earth but DPD has been able to frustrate me to a level I have never seen before. Firstly, I arranged my delivery to come to my office which is on a corner on a high street, if you can't find this address then I would most certainly say it is a cause for concern. As an estate agent I was forced to push back all appointments in order accommodate my delivery coming within my given window. I then receive a text saying I missed my delivery and click the link and see a picture of a door I have never seen in my life and doesn't even look like its in the country! I am meant to go to Leicester this evening with my parcel in order to confirm a business transaction. I am now on the phone to customer services to see what I can do, this is the third time I am making this call. Every time it sounds like I am finally going to get through to someone (hear a ringing) they cut off the phone. I am in complete disgust and things this is a terrible way to conduct business. Sick to my core by DPD today and hate to have had to write a message like this.

Appalling service. No attempt made at delivery however online it stated that my parcel was refused. Phoned customer service, after 17minutes on hold I got through to an impolite customer service representative who put me on hold for 52minutes whilst she contacted the depot to investigate. The customer service representative hung up on me and routed my call back into the main call centre without advising me of the outcome. I had to phone back again to find out where my parcel is. I'm still none the wiser. I emeoukd advise against using this service

This is the second time it has happened in 6 months. The driver doesn't understand the address/DPD have taken it down incorrectly, and can't be bothered to sort it out because he has so many deliveries to do, so he moves on to next one. By the time I got through to them, it was too late. So I stayed home the following day (another day at home waiting and off work) and the exact same thing happened. My phone call where the person on the phone took down a detailed not correcting the incorrect address and making sure that the drive calls me on my mobile if he has a problem was ignored on the second day. I literally watched the van drive past my house on the website map, but there was no way I could get the driver to collect at my correct address. They will have to come back a 3rd time, meaning I will have to stay home again. And I can't trust that they will get it right. It is such a poor and unacceptable service. I have never experienced a delivery company this bad. I am still on hold trying to speak to someone. But I did this yesterday and it still didn't fix it. When this happened 6 months ago, I waited 3 days in a row. In the end I cancelled the delivery and ordered from someone else who used a different company.

Well... As simple as : never received the parcell. Tracking doesn't say anything. Just as if the parcell would never ever had been sent. And it's note the case at all !

First of the driver never showed up whereas I was waiting for him on the road! Then I was advised that he will return back to deliver my parcel after waiting for 4 hours, customer service told me the the driver went back to the Dagenham depot! And I should be able to pick up the boxes at 6.30pm! Right now, it's 20.32 and I am still sitting here waiting for the boxes and the receiptionist is telling me we are looking for your parcel! This is what you get from dpd

They were supposed to deliver a parcel and then the first time I was waiting like a fool with all my patience for over 2 weeks. When I contacted them they admitted they lost it. Guess what happened this year? They can't find my parcel again. Completely unreliable and you don't get the luxury to have a guarantee that your items are safe in a Depot. They are not and they will lose it and keep it

Paid extra for pre 10.30am delivery so could get to work on time only to turn up at 11.50am. Complained to driver who said there's been a mix up and when I checked the tracking number of my parcel it states the parcel was delivered and signed for at 10.24am. ?

Three days with no notification of delivery. They lied to my supplier 3 times when they chased it up - usual rubbish about 'can't understand why not on van' etc. Couldn't even manage the free upgrade today (before 10.30) which they offered my supplier as an apology, apparently the driver 'called in sick'. (I have my doubts) The Depot is one mile up the road from me. I am still waiting...

If I could give DPD 0 stars I would! Requested to deliver to neighbour and got a text saying they couldn't deliver... went and checked with my neighbour who haven't left the house today... hmmm! Rang up to complain as parcel is needed TOMORROW, to first be hung up on! And secondly to be told it wasn't their problem and I shouldn't have been out anyway if I had a delivery coming... guess the customer isn't always right to them! Guess my class won't have the supplies they need

Similar tale to many in this forum. Online message to inform us that the driver had failed to find the address/gain access notwithstanding the house was occupied all day with dog. I took the message to read 'too nice a day to be delivering parcels, launch generic failed delivery message and get off home instead'. So much for next day delivery and yes, e-trailers putting their business with this company should be aware that their customers may well not return.
