DPD were not great. Tried to deliver on the wrong day and then, after we rearranged for the Saturday, they messaged at half 5 (after I'd stayed in all afternoon) to say parcel would be delivered on Monday instead. I arranged to pick up the parcel from depot on the Sunday but had to wait another 50 mins for them to find the parcel, even though I'd arranged in advance to collect it. Everyone I spoke to DPD was very nice but it was surprisingly difficult to have a parcel delivered

I was expecting a parcel delivery from a company named Primrose.co.uk DPD being the courier, Primrose sent the parcel by the courier company DPD on 15th July 2019 to be delivered the next day 16th July to my address in Clacton On Sea Essex. I received a text message from DPD driver Filipe that my Primrose order would be delivered between 10:32-11:32am My parcel did not arrive! Upon tracking my parcel on the DPD site, it told me the parcel was delivered in Ipswich Suffolk? a totaly different town and county and signed for by someone named Lawrence? Not a name known at my correct address? I do not recommend any person or company to use or rely on DPD as the Courier Service.

Please understand where I am coming from. Exactly four months ago to this day, I first wrote to the Customer Service department of DPD Lithuania regarding two missing packages. I had dropped six parcels in their Kaunas pickup point to be delivered to my residence in Lisbon, Portugal. Two weeks went by without any delivery until they started arriving, two by two each time. The last two parcels however, were missing, After days of calling the Lithuanian offices and the Portuguese Chronopost ones, they finally located one of them in the North of Portugal, seemingly without a Receiver's address. Although eventually this one got delivered back to me (albeit completely wrecked), no news about the remaining lost parcel, No. 05810001447479G. After weeks on end without receiving news from them, I made the request for a second and then later a third search for the missing parcel. I never received any feedback from them whatsoever. I can only assume that no efforts were made to find my parcel. I sent pictures of the other packages (which were completely destroyed) and described the package itself over and over again. I provided a detailed description of the contents of the lost parcel (i.e. a Playstation 4 console, over a dozen of PS4 Video games, over twenty DVDs, several books, detachable 60" LG flat screen TV legs, several shoes and other assorted items of clothing). Finally I asked for a lost item claim form, filled it out and sent it back to them. Another two weeks went by with no news from them. Reminder emails from me went unanswered, time and time again. At last this, I received a reply from DPD Lithuania: no mention of any searches made, if any. Only that I am to receive in my bank account a small fraction for my loss. 198 euros to be exact, less than a 1/4 of the (underestimated) value of my lost belongings. All this stemming from a compensation formula minus the transportation cost ( transportation of the lost parcel?). The delay and misplacement and the ruinous state upon arrival of my parcels notwithstanding, after months of countless phone calls and unanswered emails, I am led to conclude that DPD has the worst customer service ever. I felt repeatedly ignored, my needs and requests neglected and my property carelessly mistreated time and time again. I can honestly say that if anyone has goods they need to send, I'll tell them to avoid by all means DPD like the plague! I honestly don't care of the policy of Parcel Post regulations. I made the underestimation of 800 euros for my loss and they take over two weeks to answer me that I'll receive 198 euros? After losing not one, but two parcels and taking over a month to give me any reply whatsoever? Worst company ever!

This has been the most frustrating experience ever - got a delivery time 1 -2pm Sat - knew I couldn't be in - they would not leave to safe place - requested leave with a neighbour - they didn't bother - they rebooked for sunday even though emailed to say no chance of being in - they would not allow redelivery to work place where definite signature and safety - re requested leave with neighbour - neighbour definitely in - no attempt made. left a not pleading with them to deliver to work address - which is just down the road and easier access than home - didn't even acknowledge note - tried live chat - this is an automated and repetitive message not a real person Card left to say re delivering on Monday - waited in - then checked with web site which said parcel being held awaiting instruction - now need to see what Tuesday brings - apart from maximum irritation. Please do not use this company - no flexibility - who is in between 1 and 2pm on a Sat or Sun!!! Don't even know where the parcel is coming from

If I could give no stars I would! Having ordered a fridge for our holiday home in Norfolk I have waited in all morning for delivery as stated between 12.26 and 13.26. The number of our holiday home was clearly marked on the item. When delivery didn’t happen in that time I checked the status on the website to find the driver had taken a photo of the reception area marked closed and driven off! Fair enough if I hadn’t signalled that the address was 84! Easy enough to look! I also had my mobile and fully expected the driver to call and say where about are you? But no! So now I am stuck with a fridge that needs to be redelivered tomorrow yet I have to be at work 4 counties away!! The option I have, as calling customer services was pointless as you can’t speak to anybody, is to drive back up to their Norfolk depot tomorrow evening on to the holiday home and back to my house, a nice 7 hour round trip! Thanks DPD!!!! Absolutely pathetic!

DPD failed to deliver 10 times out of 15, including going to the wrong address, not turning up, taking a photo of the house without getting out of the Van and generally being unhelpful, incompetent and even lying. My experience with all other courier companies is fine. DPD must either have rotten management or a rotten business ethic to cut corners. Dont do on line shopping if DPD are the courier.

The worst delivery company in the UK - Liars and scammers, how are they allowed to operate in this country. I had a delivery today and stayed home from work all morning. Around 11:20 I get a failed delivery alert. I instantly rang the help-line to find out what had happened, I was told that the driver tried to deliver it and rang the bell multiple times waiting for me to answer few minutes. There is no way in the world this is true, I'm sat in my flat right now and there has been no bell or knock all morning. The only option now is to go half away across London to the depot. The customer service line said they believed the driver over me, the customer, even though I rang as soon as it was marked undelivered. Either the drivers are a bunch of lazy scamming liars who are running rings around the company, or the company is complicit in the scamming and lying. I will never be buying anything, from any website or seller online, ever again in my life if they use DPD delivery. I will also be passing the message onto my friends and family. DPD = SCUM. Avoid.

What can I say about DPD delivery? I never requested for redeliver the next day, however I had urgent parcel. It's the 92th of the driver's deliveries. He was here at opposite where I work. I asked him politely and refused to give me the urgent parcel and have to wait for another 2-3 hours till he delivers this bloody parcel. How disgusting is that? I repeatedly said, it's just round the corner and can't see why don't he just delivers this urgent parcel to me? Simple as that? I used to be asking my home DPD (Stanmore) to give me the parcels and there's no problem at all. What is the difference can it makes for everyone? I never understand that. I tried to email DPD customer service. No responses from them at all. A lack of communication, I must say. I have enclosed the attachment of the map. It explains all - I didn't understand how it works out.

I am still waiting delivery of my parcel from espares now 10 days late. According to track my parcel it's been boomeranging between Croydon and their Birmingham depots and has been at Croydon since 4.7.19 at 2.15 am. All emails have been ignored and to ring them it's over £3 a minute. If I could give them no stars. Absolute joke as a delivery company. They are French owned so what more could you expect!

Twice this week, the driver knocked on the door and turned around and left a note saying he missed us! He didn't even give me 30 seconds to get to the door! This is terribly frustrating when you are eagerly awaiting a parcel!

This is a rubbish company who do not care about the people they are delivering to !! Customer service think it`s funny if they mess up your delivery ! I would give this lot zero stars , and even less for customer service ! It`s a shame companies like these think they can treat customers so bad!

In the last week I've had two deliveries from DPD that have had to be redelivered. This isn't the first time. I work from home. I have a doorbell and a dog that barks incessantly when the door bell rings. The doorbell can be heard throughout the house and similarly if anyone knocks too. And yet both times the card was pushed through the letterbox for redelivery. I have no trouble with any other company or royal mail deliveries so I can only assume they have no fingers free with which to press the doorbell (that big button by the front door) or their hands can't form a fist shape to knock? It makes one wonder if they're behind schedule or on commission for redeliveries?

Absolutely disgusting. This is not the first time that it says my parcel has been delivered and signed for by myself. The funny thing is im not even in the country to sign. So someone has forged my signature.

I asked for my delivery to be left with my neighbour. The delivery driver was here but only tried my doorbell not my next door neighbour as I requested. What is the whole point of leaving instructions, when they are not followed??? Poor customer service.

Giving 1 star is adding insult to injury. I ordered a product with amazon Prime for next day delivery as it was needed urgently. Ordering on the Sunday morning and being home Monday I expected the package as normal from the company. They chose on this occasion to use DPD as their courier. amazon's tracking is brilliant and I usually meet the courier at the door so that it saves them a bit of time in their busy day. I saw that my package had left the DPD depot about 20 minutes before I checked my amazon orders but no tracking was available. So I listened out. After a couple of hours I checked my orders again and saw that the delivery had been attempted. I found a card that had been tossed on the path in my garden, it was not even posted or filled in by the driver, which gave the blurb to the effect that we knocked and you were out. No knock that I heard and I was feet away. Looking at my orders profile on amazon I saw that the courier had taken a photo of my front door for some reason that escapes me? The driver left a card, I don't need a picture of my front door thank you very much, I know what it looks like. I do, however, want my package. The card stated delivery would be made the following day. So, my package had been and gone. Great. I went on their phone app to give instruction that the package should be left in a safe place and that a signature was not required. If I wanted to sign I'd have gone with recorded delivery. The app repeatedly stated that it was experiencing trouble and that I should try again later. I tried their webpage on my PC and the same problem. I tried each about a dozen times in all with no luck. I even deleted and reloaded the app just to make sure I had the up-to-date version. I thought about ringing but given the runaround I'd already had I had neither the patience nor inclination; and why should I? Tuesday came and went but no return visit. I contacted amazon customer services the following day and advised them that I was unable to contact DPD. They put in the same request that I had on my behalf and assured me the package would be delivered the next day, the rep even said she'd ring me to ensure delivery had occurred. Yeah, right! The poor dears can’t think critically, just follow their flow chart. Sure enough, Thursday came and went and no return call or package. The next day, Friday now, I rang amazon again and got a refund. I'd had enough. I bought another product as it was now five days late and more urgent than ever. The weekend came and went and on the Monday (yesterday), a week overdue and 5 days later than amazon had promised me, there's another 'We missed you' card in my garden. Today, Tuesday and 9 days late the package has been left without the need for a signature. On the card was hand-written the instructions I gave to amazon last week. Why could the package not have been left yesterday then? So, what was it I needed so urgently? Scales for my cat, which has been diagnosed as diabetic and quite poorly. The vet, in addition to medication, advised me to get scales and a blood glucose monitor so that we could keep a log to help manage the condition and ensure further weight loss was countered by appropriate feeding and insulin injection. The monitor arrived the following day by the excellent Prime couriers. I've had one previous delivery from DPD through amazon some years ago and I remember similar, if not as bad, shenanigans. I think I'll be off to ebay from now on where I can enquire as to what courier will be used prior to purchase, not risking this again with amazon. A delivery company that has difficulty, it seems to me, in delivering. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning the package to amazon. As the package is too large for an amazon locker, for which I have one just a mile away, I have instead got to drive across town to a Hermes shop. Need that like a hole in the head. To say I'm furious is an under-statement. Absolutely appalling. Useless. Never again DPD. Amazon have lost my trust.

Seriously man. You CANNOT depend on a courier like this if you are expecting the package to arrive ON TIME and on the same date. I have customers waiting for products and yet these drivers just cannot keep up with their MONDAY jobs. Whats the excuse? 'Drivers scanner stopped working'.

Last week, whilst I was away, an red & white (incomplete) card was left for me by dpd deliveries with a parcel reference No shown as 32027020 advising me that they had attempted to deliver a parcel and "would be back tomorrow". They didn't apparently show. The card further advised that if I was to be out I should get in touch via "now.dpd.co.uk" to arrange re-delivey of the parcel. I duly tried to get in touch on-line without success and finally rang Customer Services today and spoke to an Azhar in "Customer Services" who, it has to be said, I found to be the most unhelpful, obtruse and difficult person to deal with, with him making several lame excuses as to why he could not trace the parcel reference No. given without explanation and, before rudely and unexpectedly putting the phone down on me in mid conversation, asking me to tell him who sent this unexpected parcel etc! How could I supply such information when I have no idea who sent the parcel or what its content was?? I have accordingly made formal complaint and further enquiry to trace the missing parcel on-line but as yet have heard nothing in return. Questions are has the "dpd" delivery man or someone else stolen this parcel for his/their own purposes, is it now lost, where is it, when can I expect delivery etc? Having due regard to the many other adverse comments, experiences and difficulties shared on line by other disasatisfied Customers I believe it is time for answers. Until I am satisfied let this be a warning for any other person(s) /businesses thinking of using "dpd" as their delivery company to think again! If the matter referred to is resolved and "my parcel" ultimately ever traced and received I will advise and comment further. If not, then I advise anyone interested to avoid "dpd" as a post/parcel delivery courier/company like the plague. Graham/ Bumpstead Antiques & Interiors.
