Poor food miserable staff. Did not compare with other airport lounges we have used. Ran out of glasses and wasn't even busy. Made to feel bad for having more than one drink

We had a very poor experience in this lounge. It was very busy. Tables hadn't been cleared from previous travellers. We had to sit at a table with dirty dishes initially. I'm not sure if they were short staffed. There was a long queue for the bar service. There were no clean glasses and we were served Gin and Tonic in beer glasses. The food was extremely poor. There was a choice of two pasta dishes, macaroni cheeses and cheese with mushroom. Both were incredibly bland and not really edible. We had a bowl of tomato soup and a not very fresh white barm cake. We were travelling abroad for a special occasion and had booked the lounge to make our trip more special. All in all it's probably the worst experience we have ever had in an airport lounge and clearly not the start to our trip we were hoping for.

We bought everything we could think of to make our airport experience enjoyable, extra legroom seats, priority in security lane, priority boarding, aspire lounge. We were at the airport at 4.30am for a 06.35 flight. Waited ages to check one bag, (we had already checked in online), then found priority lane at security was slower than normal lane. This resulted in arriving at Aspire lounge with only 20 mins to spare for last call. Found a queue of about 10 or 12 people at the desk. People were getting very irritated at the slowness of your system. It did not seem to be the fault of the lady at your desk, but there seemed to be a problem with matching customer's paperwork with your computer system. After waiting for 15 mins, I left my companions at the desk, and was allowed through to collect some food. Would have liked to take 3 bacon rolls with me, but you had ran out of bacon. Grabbed 2 oranges and 2 croissants, and then we all had to rush to make our gate. The overall problems at the airport were not your fault, but your abysmal checking system made sure that we didn't have 20 mins to grab a quick drink and a sandwich. For this we paid £77 - not acceptable under any circumstances. Would be grateful for your response.

The food was of very poor quality - just soup, dried rolls and muffins and little packets of cheese and crackers. Staff were unhelpful and the spirits were not premium brands - the brandy was Three Barrels. We ended up getting a Burger King takeaway and eating it in the lounge. We went and looked around No 1 Lounge and that had menus and a really nice bar - that is where we will be booking in future. What I was hoping would be a really nice start to our holiday ended up being a huge disappointment.

Dirty, no soft drinks, no food for hours and when arrived it was only overcooked pasta. Only 1 person serving. However contacted your customer service whilst in lounge who resolved my unhappiness immediately and to my satisfaction.

Hi. We were Iounge. Lady in reception was very nice. We found a table easily enough. I went to get drinks. Apparently if there's a queue they limit drinks to 2 per person at the bar. This isn't great for a family of three. I tried to order a glass of champagne. I knew this needed paying for. Unfortunately the facility for paying is at reception. So go off and pay then queue again. Then your drinks are either served in warm glasses, or the wrong glasses. Wine in a tumbler is just the same apparently. Thirst is still quenched. Once you've got some food you need to watch it like a hawk as the dishes are whipped away as soon as you look away. Last years experience in the escape lounge was much better. We'll head there next time. If there is one.

Tables for 6 people taken up by one person asleep lying across the seats and it was not just a one off. There are four of us and we had to sit at a table for two. Food was not cooked properly especially the pastries

We received a very warm welcome and from there the experience was awful. The lounge was filthy and all table areas needed cleaning and the floors were covered in debris. The waiting and bar staff were mostly away in the kitchen and it was clear that they saw us as a hindrance and had to be summoned (at all times) to serve at the bar. My husband only booked the lounge for us as a treat as he uses it a lot when positioning as a Flybe Captain. He was shocked and embarrassed stating that it is normally excellent even when busy. We could not wait to board our flight and escape the lounge and regret having spent so much money on a very disappointing start to our holiday. The attitude of the staff was: who cares...

Awful experience, we were late as check in took a lot longer than expected so only had an hour in the lounge. As we arrived at the lounge we were greeted by a short woman with brown hair and glasses she took about 10 mins to check us in then eventually when we sat down we wanted some drinks she was aware we were waiting but carried on stacking plates and cups, she eventually pulled herself away to serve us and then walked into the back room when we had sat down, she stayed in this room for nearly the remainder of our stay apart from once, after I had gone to the bar having waiting 5 mins I served myself only when I had finished did she bother comming out. Will not be staying again.

There was one bowl of pasta, some lettuce, olives, and some nuts very disappointing! Especially when you are having a drink in there expected better options to be honest. I'm cealiac qnd could only have a small salad as everything contained gluten. Won't be back wasn't worth the money would rather go for a nice lunch somewhere I can eat before.

The longer was over booked, a 10/15 min wait prior to gaining entry. Once in, limited seating, normal self service bars locked and one member of bar staff to serve an extremely bar, and stock of certain beers were not available.

We were very disappointed by the lack of food available from the breakfast buffet. There was no fruit at all. We were told that there would not be any fruit available during our visit ( between 8:30-10:00am). The staff were very unhelpful. Nobody explained how the lounge worked, how we were able to select our own food etc, fellow travellers gave advice. Tables were not cleared in the lounge for the duration of our stay. Whilst it was a quiet lounge, we would definitely think twice about using this facility again.

I took my family to the lounge as a special treat to start our holiday. I (we) found the food choices very limited and what was available not good, the bread rolls dry, the bacon and eggs just not very nice, croissants dried up and just cheap looking. The room itself lacked any executive / luxury feel. I would not choose this lounge again for leisure trips or for my business travel.

The staff were very rude and abrupt when we entered with our party. We were refused entry into the pre paid lounge due to one of the party wearing a branded smart casual polo shirt. After being humilated at the front of the lounge we went to a near by shop to purchase an unbranded jacket to cover up the logo on the polo shirt. We were eventually allowed into the lounge and got something to eat. Yet again we were heavily disappointed, the bread for the bacon sandwiches was dry. The stock wasn't re filled as soon as it got empty so we had to wait around for orange juice, more bacon, yoghurts etc. Very disappointing and a waste of money overall.

The tables were dirty and not cleared, I accept it was a busy time of day but it was not the relaxed experience I expected. After waiting for 15 minutes, and asking 2 members of staff if the hot food was going to be replenished, I sat down only to find the pasta I had waited for was stone cold, took it back and was replaced. The furniture seemed very worn and dirty. The only plus side was the 2 gin and tonics i had the chance to enjoy, but overall I was very disappointed and was not good value money, I would not use this service again.

Details of the lounge were misleading. It gave the impression that there would be a choice of food. Choice of two meals, dry buns, no cakes, biscuits or scones as advertised. Could not connect to wifi.
