Website has very poor layout. No option on website to switch to UK currency if searching from a non UK service provider!! Staff smoking outside office creates a negative atmosphere Staff more interested in personal conversation at help/collection point desk than serving customers Waiting to collect part over an hour, not good as compared to your competitors Only good thing GSF had the part I needed.

I made a purchase through the GSF website, click and collect at your Luton branch, Air filter, Oil filter and a set of rear brake pads. I had spent time researching the various brake pads on offer and was very pleased to see that a diagram with dimensions was included with each set of pads. It was annoying to find that when I got the brake pads home and out of the box that they were incorrect. I checked again on the website and found that the pads offered are the correct ones, they had the same part number listed on the website, but they did not resemble the pads I had removed from the car or the ones shown in the diagram. I sent a message through the contact section on the website to let you know that the parts had been listed with an incorrect part number, and did you have the correct parts? The reply I received stated that I should return the pads to the outlet that I collected them from........................Not very helpful as my car has no brakes now!!! P.S. no problem with the air filter and oil filter though.

One of the items was damaged before even posting by the looks of it. Had to return to store myself. Fortunately they had one in stock so did straight swap. However was inconvenience of having to go replace it when I shouldnt of had to.

The part I needed was the wrong type, I sent the vin and Index number of the car , I was told this is the correct part. I replied with a picture of the correct and wrong part plus what I have been told is the part number. I have been asked to return it for a refund,however I have just paid £ 4.40 to Royal Mail to return it.

I took advantage of the online discount and placed an order for service parts for my van. There were two differnt options for the air filter and u went for the one i thought was correct at the time... However once I received it via home delivery it turned out to be the wrong one. So I decided to pop in to my local Coventry branch to exchange it. I explained to the chap behind the counter I had made a mistake and found the correct part, he informed me there was an extra £2 to Pay, I was happy to pay this but apparently GSF won't take ANY card payment under £5??? I'd expect this from a back street outfit but not one of the big players surely? Than to add insult to injury I was than told actually they don't refund online purchases in-store and was charged full price!! So now I'm out of pocket and have a air filter that's no use to me, I was informed I could post it back for a refund (at my own postal expense) but as I've already made a trip out I don't fancy now packaging it up and going to the post office? All in all I think if I could of just simply exchange the item in store even if I did have to pay extra using my card my experience would of vastly been improved. Would I order from GSF again? Probably not knowing I can't correct a simple issue by popping in to my local store! Refusing to accept card payments under £5 outs GSF in the same league as my local corner shop in my option, not a mulit million pound leading car parts supplier!!

Prices were excellent but it took 5 days to receive the parts through the post.I even went past a GSF outlet on th 4th day.I will still use them but in future travel to my nearest stockist.

I entered my registration in your online system looking for a wheel speed sensor, it only gave me one option which I duly ordered. When I came to fit it it was the wrong one. Phoned the branch who said not to trust the online system......... Got the right part (with the correct options) from Euro Car Parts. Slightly disappointed to say the least.

Purchased a clutch kit for audi a 4 ,give reg number of car received Sachs kit asked online chat for correct thrust bearing given number,went to gsf at Feltham to collect rechecking number with assistant confirmed it was correct,after taking gearbox out find I have wrong thrust bearing! Luck not Sachs,had to purchase correct bearing elsewhere as gsf was closed now have to drive to Feltham to get money reimbursed,more staff training required I think .

Eventhough I had an email to say my parts were available I stood waiting while they searched the shelves to be told it wasn't there as it was Saturday to re-order for Monday !! But I needed it on that day ... was told be just as well to go another car parts supplier !! Then Got stroppy email from company as I had not collected my order !!

Hello Samantha and thanks for your review. You should receive a call from the branch you placed the click and collect order from when your order has been picked ready for you. This saves a wasted journey in the event of a discrepancy between stock indicated on the computer and it actually being on the shelf. Obviously this has not occurred in this case so we will pass this back to the branch to ensure it does not happen again. The email you got is an automatic email and is certainly not intended to be stroppy. It would not have happened if you had had the call from the branch to advise of a delay because of the stock problem. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us and apologies on behalf of our branch who have not followed the correct procedure.

I bought a left hand tie rod end for my VW new Beetle from the Nottingham store using the click and collect service. The packaging had already been opened when I collected it. After going to the trouble of jacking up my car and prepping for the work to fit it, I discovered that the part was for the wrong side of the vehicle! This was despite the label on the packaging describing the side I needed. I wonder if a previous customer had discovered this too and returned the part, hence the already opened packaging? So I wasted a gallon of fuel and over an hour in travelling to and from the Nottingham store to collect this part. It then transpired that the store didn't have a replacement in stock so fortunately the Leicester store were able to help. I usually get great service from GSF so I'll put this down to a rare hiccup, but on the basis of wasted time and costs I can only give a two star review.

Order d an oil filter got given the wrong item, didn't notice I till I had empties my oil, took it backnthe shop (in a taxi), they happily changed it and give me the excuse the item was put away in the wrong storage loaction, item was not doibke checked against invoice befor being sold.

Always something wrong. This time one of the four items was incorrect and one not on the shelf. Had to return to collect it only to find they'd sent the wrong part. Had to return again.... This is my usual experience at GSF

I knew the exact part code of what I needed (a Valeo alternator), but the site made me put my registration in and then "told me" what part I needed. Since the part was remanufactured, and branded it was impossible to identify the original manufacturer, let alone part code. Sure enough, it was the wrong one (a Bosch), which cost me 3 lost days over the weekend and bank holiday, and 40 miles driving in traffic. They did at least refund me for the part, no questions asked. But It can't be right that the customer cannot see the original manufacturer, or specify the part.

Ordered a new pump arrived smashed had to ring to get it returned. Emailed a question about about a item and never even recived a response.
