I spent £117.99 + £5 postage in the so called 'sale'. My friend and I thought it was way to good to be true as this price included 2 designer bags and a large amount of calvin klein underwear! My friend got an email last night completely cancelling her order.... I was just waiting for mine. This afternoon I receive an email saying my order is being processed. Click on the email and it is only 1 item at the price of £9???? Where is the rest please?? Plus the item I am supposedly getting is part of a set which means it is pointless now. Also I will have to pay the ridiculous price of £4.99 delivery just for this one item which then doesn't even make it a sale item for me. I then look at the returns policy and apparently if I want to return it then I have to pay postage or if I take it into store I only get gift vouchers. Fantastic... a lose/lose situation for me! and of course.... no contact number!!

Order number:HOF40000055826855 This is the worst service I have ever experienced. I order and paid for some items in the sale and a week later they have sent an Email saying due to high volume we have cancelled your order and will refund your money within 14 days that will be 21 days, but they took 1 minute to take the money from my account. Worst Company Ever and POOR Customer Services. To offer a £10 voucher is a disgrace when it was your fault. Avoid this Company

I ordered a dress online, it turned up- colour was different and the size was too big. I decided to return it, as I live in Australia it cost me an extra $35 australian dollars to return, and that didnt include tracking the whole way there. It is nearly 2 months after I sent the dress back, and still no work from House of Fraser about a refund. And there is no way to contact them to find out, as their website is pretty limited in this area. You get the choice of writing them a letter (who has time to do that?!) or emailing which apparently they may respond to in a couple of days, or webchat?! well I couldnt find the link to webchat. How limited!! I will never ever buy from this company again!!

House of fraser has simply STOPPED being HOF! I went in store to get a refund and was told only vouchers available and would have to return by post! I was going in store because I didn't want to spend any more money. They sent me the refund email and listed the things which they were refunding but at the very top of it they had the Delivery Charge next to which they had put these Question marks which I took to mean they were saying "do you really want the postage back or can we keep it as we are in trouble" ugh. I sent them an email requesting my original postage back as it was well within 28 days, they said, and I quote: "Thanks for your email. I do apologise for any confusion regarding your refund. The delivery cost would not be included as the service was carried out successfully. I apologise for any inconvenience. " I was not satisfied with that so got back to them and quoted the CCR saying we are entitled to a refund of postage! They came back with: "As my colleague has advised, for an order that is returned simply due to being unwanted the delivery cost is non-refundable, as the delivery service paid for has been provided and successfully fulfilled. We would only look to refund original delivery costs for instances such as an incorrect, faulty or cancelled order where we were notified of the intent to cancel within 14 days of the order. My sincere apologies for any disappointment this may cause, however, we are satisfied that our policy complies with consumer regulations." Total RUBBISH somebody needs to bring them to book and quick! I will NEVER shop at HOF again....shame I used to really like the store

Profit before customers. Do the policy makers read these reviews? So Mike Ashley intends to transform House of Fraser (HoF) into "the Harrods of the high street", or so he says!! Well he needs to start with customer service. Trustpilot says 84% terrible and mostly because of the appalling returns policy they now have under the stewardship of Mr Ashley. Others have said how this now works, so I don’t need to repeat the system of paying postage both ways and if you take goods to the store you don’t get your money back, you get a credit note to spend only in store. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE !!! Unless you really know you want the goods and they will fit you. Having visited the Sheffield store it was nothing like the HoF I once knew. More like a jumble sale than a quality store. Gone has the large household department replaced by tatty sales stuff. The men’s department was full of high-end clothing at high end prices or cheap clothing that went out of date 10 years ago. The whole feel of the store was a closing down sale. I took my online purchases back and ended up spending more money than I wanted too on things I didn't really need. It was that or sending the items back by post and paying for special delivery with insurance to make sure that the items got back safely. Well if this is the future of HoF it will go like others have done - down the pan. If it is going to survive it needs to think online and customer service. Especially it’s returns policy. I for one will never use the service again. I advise others to do the same. Profit before customer service will always see a company get bad reviews. HoF certainly are getting bad reviews so just perhaps they will listen to their ex-customers. Bed reviews are feedback to the company, but HoF have not answered a single review, perhaps they don't read them or don't care about customer feedback. Good bye HoF.

Shocking service, bought a Ralph Lauren T-shirt online, got an email saying my order had been dispatched then got an out of stock email. Went online still in stock so emailed, after a week no response so ordered again as still in stock again got an email saying my order had been dispatched followed by another email saying out of stock! Emailed several times to complain and say I still want the T-shirt remained in stock on the website but they never reply. Awful service. I’ve spent thousands over the years. No wonder they’re going down hill and shops are closing. They do not care for their customers only how much money they can take. I’m taking my custom elsewhere. Can’t wait to see you all close down!

There is no customer service to speak to, although online it says there is. Also an email adddress to write to but as a staff member told me, don’t wait for a reply you won’t get one. Still waiting since Dec! Went to guildgord and Richmond branches, all good brands gone, just usual high street brands plus sports direct footwear. What a shame, HofF was a lively store.

Just a great shame that the company policy gets in the way of the staff providing what customers want. Profit before customer service will always see a company get bad reviews. House of Fraser certainly are getting bad reviews so just perhaps they will listen to their ex-customers. Bed reviews leads to customers walking away and telling others. Good bye HoF.

Since HOF has been taken over, I experienced meanness, during a sad traumatic time for me. Friend bought me Voucher, Not realizing company was taken over...I do not watch the news......My Beautiful Mom passed away suddenly. When I was finally ready to spend my voucher and treat my self putting it towards a beautiful red coat, I was informed at till I could no longer use it, I tried in Sports Soccer, who took the company over, to also be told NO! I was over the date that they were Honoring vouchers. I emailed company and appealed to their compassion....they said NO! disgraceful, it would of been nothing to there to redeem £10 but meant everything to me especially as my Beautiful Friend bought it to cheer me up. Very disappointed in their attitude My family friends use to shop there ..never again now!

I ordered online and paid with a gift voucher. A few days later I received an email to say that part of my order had been cancelled, 3 items that were on sale! The email stated that I would receive vouchers that can only be used online! I only received a voucher back for £39 when it should have been £69. I have tried to contact HoF so many times with no success via web chat. I eventually opened up a resolver case where HOF should reply to you within 2-3 days, that was 3 weeks ago! Today I eventually got through to web chat, I asked the assistant (Monika), she could see their error and issued vouchers for correct amount. I asked her to send me a copy of the chat as voucher codes were on it, she said she would but didn't. Back to square one trying to contact web chat again, took me an hour, got Monika again who promised to send vouchers to my email, again she hasn't. I have emailed them now! I didn't want to shop online again due to delivery charges and if you have to return anything they issue vouchers instead of debiting your payment card. The store isn't much better though, I see a big change in it lately, I have encountered rude staff who don't want to help you. There is also a shortage of staff.

Why would I purchase items online and pay £4.99 for the privilege of click and collect. I expect to do so st Sport Direct for cheap and cheerful bargains, but not for premium brands. No free returns? Really it’s 2019. John Lewis is free plus a much more reassuring customer experience and convenient collect from their Waitrose stores so no parking charges. Your strategy is way off the mark in a digital age, it’s almost comical. You are treating customers with contempt and arrogance. I will never shop with HOF again.

AVOID THIS STORE!!! I would have given 0 stars if I could. Charged postage, when it should be free. Charged £14 return postage, when it should be free- and cannot return to store as issuing vouchers, not refunds. Paid via PayPal, £349, and have been issued an e-voucher not a refund. You CANNOT contact HOF via any means. I have escalated claim via PayPal and will be reporting to ombudsman. AVOID THIS STORE!!!
