I have used Interparcel quite a bit over the last few years and had good service, but I have had a lot of trouble with the last parcel I sent, I used City Link (I normally use UPS which are very reliable) When I checked the tracking no. it said parcel not ready to collect but it was collected,I phoned Interparcel to see what was going on and they got in touch with City Link ,they said no parcel was collected, but it was collected around 9.30 Tuesday morning, after numerous phone calls I still had the same answer, I will not be using City Link again, I phoned the person in London to whom I was sending to, and he said they tried to deliver the parcel at 5.30 yesterday but he had to go out at 5pm after waiting in all day !!!! Whatever is going on !!!!

Booking is easy. Payment is easy. Collection is easy except when they don't collect! There have been / are too many times when collection is not made on the day specified especially on bookings made over the weekend for a collection on a Monday.

...I have to keep typing addresses and telephone numbers in every time. It's a cheap and reliable service that we always use, but a real pain to use for a time-strapped person. Sort it out please. Loads of people must have made this complaint.

When arranging the shipping of my parcel, one of the questions asked me to choose a time-slot for collection. I chose 10:30-13:30. I was then advised that this slot was available, and I went ahead with the booking. After payment, I received the relevant paperwork, which stated that the courier collecting my parcel operated between 09:00-17:00, but would try to call within my time-slot. I had to stay at home all day, they came at 16:40. If I had known that I would have to wait like this, I would have booked for another day, or even tried an alternative courier. It seems pointless, and misleading to ask customers to choose a time convenient for themselves, when there is no intention of adhering to it.

Initially found the experience a bit frustrating, the main issue was the issuing of a shipping label. When I booked I received an email that said, among other things , that a shipping label would be issued shortly and that without one the driver would have to supply and therefore would incur extra cost. I don't work near a PC so had to have someone check now and again for the label, after four hours there was no label so called Interparcel ( from Ireland) to be told that as the parcel was going to Ireland ( from Suffolk) the driver would supply the label... Nowhere on the website could I find an explanation. I also had a query on the tracking number issued which needed another call and I have to say on both occasions the person I spoke with was pleasant and helpful. Now I know how the system works I will use Interparcel again and the courier service (DPD) I chose delivered quickly and hassle free.

I sent a parcel on a Wednesday by Collect+ to a moderately remote part of Scotland. This was the only carrier offered by Interparcel on this occasion. When I booked, I was reminded of the remote location, and as a consequence was informed the parcel wouldn't be delivered until the Monday. It didn't actually arrive until Tuesday, despite tracking showing that it had arrived at the nearest depot on the Friday morning. The tracking info given used an abbreviation which made no sense, and so I had no way of finding out what was going on. This caused some problems and anxiety for both me and the recipient. I wouldn't trust delivery dates given for Collect+ in the future, and probably wouldn't use that service again.

When parcels arrive with boot prints on them you know someone cares. Fragile handle with care even handle with care please is a foreign language. Same to be said for all carriers though. when we find a carrier that does respect peoples goods we would use them exclusively. On the plus side The costs are very reasonable, parcels are delivered on time, the drivers at my end are always courteous and seem to be careful with the goods. Ps I do not accept any terms and conditions as below . For chrissakes I am doing a survey for your benefit, by reading this you are accepting my terms and conditions. Have a nice weekend. Kindest John

The only real problem was the courier did not collect on the day we were emailed that he would do so I waited in all day for nothing. Still waiting as to whether it arrived safely.

Interparcel.com is great when booking courier and long distant items abroad however sometimes items can be mistreated carelessly and be damaged in the post in which claims have to be made and you wait ages for this problem to be identified. Also certain subcompanies like city link will always lie and really make problems for you especially when you book a courier to collect with them avoid them like the plaugue. For example the City link office depot is five minutes from my house and the excuse they will give you is there is no parking SPACE what???!!!. However a massive thumbs up for UPS which is the interparcel standard service by far the best value service there is. All in all a 3 star from me.

A good service on the whole, but this service has a pretty relaxed attitude when no courier turns up and business is lost, so I have experienced a very bad service twice now. And no responsibility taken and a very badly handled service when the service has badly gone wrong

Can't take this or that, won't ship to certain areas.. becoming less and less useful every year. I used to use interparcel for everything but being in the bike trade i can't send bikes, or spray lubes, or cleaners, anything liquid. have to use UPS direct or Parcelforce for all the things they no longer allow. wahst the point in having a one stop service offering many couriers, if i have to ring those couriers direct in order to send something.

My company is based on the Isle of Man and we ship all our larger parcels through Interparcel. We have found our orders can easily be forgotten and collection and delivery is an additional 2 days due to an outside contractor collecting the order. When orders have been forgotten about we follow up with a phone call. From the phone call we can almost always get a solution. It is now our policy to call after placing an order. I get the impression that this doesn't speed anything up and there is no procedure in place to deal with Island orders.

Picked up and delivered within 24 hours, but emailed by recipient stating carton was dropped. Thank goodness well packed and have not any further complaint by OP, will use again though.

I may have a different opinion in a couple of days when my parcel has been delivered. But i have just received an email saying the description I have put of what is in the parcel isn't good enough to pass through customs. I have put "clothing" which is exactly what it is. I was impressed with how it was collected from me, but as I say it still has not been delivered.

Booking is straightforward enough but annoying that I could not book more than one parcel at a time-really puts me off using this company

Everytime i book a collection, it never gets picked up, after a few emails and customer complaining the parcel will finally get picked. In 1 fairness once its collected it does arrive in their estimated times, but is still late I should just use the post office but i keep giving the company a second try, time after time, but still keep disappointing us, and causing problems with my customers.

In their favour - their website is quick and user-friendly. Otherwise, if you can be bothered, you may as well use the parcels-smashers (er... "couriers") they represent directly, because they are usually a bit cheaper. As a company they have zero control over the parcels carriers, which is a shame because most of them are shamefully careless and unreliable. And whatever you do, don't waste money on their so-called "insurances" because they don't actually cover anything that is not otherwise utterly indestructable. I suspect the scandalous state of the industry as a whole is costing British business millions, if not billions a year - and all because of the laziness and incompetence of those we entrust with the carriage of goods. Interparcel is just a cog in that mechanism, and I'd frankly pity them if their support was better when things do go wrong.

Having waited in all afternoon for the courier to collect, I called Interparcel just before 5pm to see what was going on. Was initially told, by a disinterested sounding girl/woman, that TNT pick up until 6pm. I asked her to check anyway. Was put on hold for a couple of minutes before being told that sorry, there was a "problem with the system," my parcel hadn't been booked, and would I like to book it for the following day? Since I'd already paid, I said yes, and this time it was collected as it should be. However, I don't appreciate being made to look bad to the recipient of the parcel, and I certainly don't appreciate paying ?15 for a next day service when I could have paid around half of that for the 2 day service that I actually received. No problem with TNT, but won't be using Interparcel again.
