“The process Opendoor puts home sellers through is designed to put the seller at a disadvantage or force them through unfavorable circumstances. Our first point of contact person gave false information on how the process would go (rather than just saying "I don't know; I'll follow up" so we had surprises when signing paperwork (for which we were given a deadline to sign and couldn't get legal clarification in time). The offer given was okay given market conditions, but they only use their inspector and then waited until 24 hours before closing (a week and a half after inspection) to present their offer with reduced repair costs, etc after inspection. The home seller is intentionally given no time to react, the people at offer pad are hard to get in touch with (thus giving even less time to figure out things) and the closing attorneys were calling me (not the buyer responsible for the inspection reports, other paperwork) because offer pad hadn't provided things they needed to and no one could get in touch with them. The people who work there are unapologetic and uninformed. You can tell something is going on internally there. They do not care about customers. The reason we went with offerpad was to avoid the rigamarole of home selling, but they dredged us through all of it. If I could do it again, I would try a different service or just use a realtor.”

“Very easy process. We sold our home for a little more than what we thought we could get on the open market. No showings, pick your closing date. So much better than going through a typical real estate transaction with realtors.”

“I hope no one lives next to a property for sale by Opendoor. They don't cut the grass as needed nor do they maintain the exterior like other real estate companies. They are not responsive to neighbor request to speak with someone directly about property issues. They are not good neighbors while they are selling the property!”

“I can’t believe how simple this process was! It started with a visit to the Opendoor website to check our home’s value, and after a brief video walk-through we had an offer that well surpassed our expectations. The offer paperwork was emailed to us immediately and the completion process was made very clear by simple step-by-step instructions. It was great to take our time to pack things up and choose our own closing date. On the last day, it was as simple as snapping a few photos and putting keys in the provided lock box. We would highly recommend this process to anyone considering selling their home.”

“This is a low stress way to sell a home. All transactions are handled on line and over the phone. Team I worked with were as lot more professional than any Real Estate agent I have ever used. They actually answered questions as to why forms were necessary and what they meant.”

“Open door was perfect for me and my family. We live in a different city from where we are purchasing our home. The realtors did Video calls for us at as many houses as we wanted to view. They were our eyes, nose, and ears. Our buyers agent did a magnificent job as well. He communicated and was very informative throughout the entire process. He wrote as many offers as we asked and never was not available. With the availability and communication these two entities have, we are forever grateful and highly recommend Opendoor for future home buyers. You guys were so awesome, I’m looking to become a realtor, so I can potentially work for your company. Thank you, we appreciate Opendoor.”

“The experience was seamless and so easy! We kept waiting for something to go wrong but it never did. We got a fantastic offer making it more than obvious it would be more hassle for minimal additional gain to sell on our own. We felt in control the whole time, yet hardly had to do a thing. They handled EVERYTHING! The title company communicated through every step, and it was always clear where they were in the process. Our payoff got to the bank the next business day after closing, and we received our funds even sooner. Things went just as described without a hitch. Highly highly recommend!”

“We were not really sure we wanted to sell our home, but we reached out to see. What Open Door would offer us and how the process worked. After a zoom walkthrough and someone walking around outside we received a very competitive offer. The terms were flexible which was perfect for us. We moved our closing date forward after we found a home and rented back for two weeks to have time to move. Everything was just as stated and absolutely hassle free!”

“It was so easy to sell our house and the customer service throughout the process was excellent. I loved the fact that we could choose our closing date and it was amazing that it could be in as little as two weeks after signing the contract. Of course the bottom line is one of the most important aspects of this sale. I received a final offer that was $70,000 over what a local real estate agent suggested for a listing price!”

“What went wrong? This company gives the Real Estate industry a bad name. They never respond. They don't know the market! Why are there listings don't sell and sit on te market for over 60 days in this kind of market. Well, it is called incompetence. They don not respond to an offer, in writing and all cash. A success to any business is MANAGEMENT and in this case there is none.”

“Our experience was great. My wife started work in a different state so I began shopping for cash offers knowing I wouldn’t have time to make repairs to go to open market with the short window we had to make a sale and move within. Opendoor came in $25k higher than a competing offer and their repair estimate was only $2k off from the estimate I’d gotten when first planning to sell. I was more than happy with the entire seamless process and communication throughout. Would recommend!”

“I couldn't have asked for a better experience selling my home. It was literally stress-free and Opendoor gave me an excellent offer - better than local agents thought I could get for my property. The commissions were totally fair (less than a local agent) and closing costs were low. From start to finish, it was the smoothest process ever and I would recommend anyone selling start with a preliminary offer from Opendoor. If the offer seems fair, go with them because you will be so satisfied with the ease of the process. A++++++”

“Our experience with Opendoor was Great. From our rep. Chelsea Pineda to a gentleman named Andrew who helped us load our final pictures. Our rep. explained what was expected of us & walked us through the whole process. The lady at the Title Co. Cheryl Quaig was awesome. She kept us informed as to what she needed from us & where the escrow was. We are in poor health & Stress is the biggest enemy. We had none. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Bob & Jan”

“I was so not sure about OpenDoor and was only tried to get a quote. The video tour is very easy with nothing to prepare and to clean up. Then I got a fair to good offer after outside evaluation. Then I was again not sure about OpenDoor if the offer will stay and house condition will cost any issues for closing, especially I have to terminate my contract with tenant. But everything works out effortlessly and closed on time.”

“Sent them comps of same exact house, (custom built) by same builder a few streets down from us. That home sold for over $125k more than what they offered us, and when asking why, they replied “not sure”. That had a pool, but def not an adequate reason for the low ball offer, plus we have a 2k sq ft larger lot. We have 3 community pools in this upper end neighborhood. Not impressed, and as others have written, it’s a default “repairs” plus a 5% fee, so what’s the diff then selling via realtor agents? Won’t recommend them to anyone and quite shocked they have such a high rating.”
