“It should be a minus score the customer service is beyond terrible. I returned a dress on 29 April and still no refund despite contacting by email every couple of days and getting message on phone saying network problem. Like other customers I have dealt with Roman for many years without any problems until earlier this year. I think they are now using alternative suppliers as the petite dresses in particular are of very poor quality - mainly the finishing off on the hems.”

“zero stars for online refunds -do not use this company if you want a refund. I have been waiting 9 weeks for a refund of £87, no reply regarding emails-FRAUDULANT DO NOT USE - KEEP YOUR MONEY SAFE”

“Goodness me 😢 I wish I checked your reviews before sending my items for exchange .I have the same trouble with this dreadful company or factory, whatever, thief.. From the 20th of May I am waiting for my exchange and for a reply to my emails .. I think I have to go personally to their factory in Birmingham or to their head office. Such a shame this company! I will never purchase anything from them again and I will complain everywhere and warn people about it.”

“So I received a “sorry” email today from Roman apologising about the returns problem. It also said that the phone lines are back open. So I tried to call them and guess what??? The phone lines are still down due to a network issue! 😡😡😡 so angry! I am owed over £60. I will never buy from them again!”

“I returned 3 items from my order, they were expensive dresses. They already received it back 2 weeks ago. No refund, nothing.... I sent them a message 5 days ago, no response. So tried to call them, but was on hold half an hour and didn't get to speak to anyone.”

“Returned 2 dresses on separate occasions, never received a refund on either and that was over 2 months ago. I have sent emails and tried to call them. The customer service number is useless! I have bought lots of clothing from this company but never again stay well clear!.”

“Bought a dress on 19 May returned 26 May after receiving on the 24 May 2022. It was too big and i sent it back for a smaller size. over 3 weeks contacted them 4 times by email which they acknowledged they received and ignored so sent the last email giving them 7 days to supply the dress or refund me. Still no response so contacted my bank and trading standards and the money was refunded within 5 hours. The amount was £35. You have rights so use them”

“Iam awaiting a refund and despite emailing a dozen times and having no joy I have since been sent a letter showing that I got a refund into a bank account on 23 May for £85.50. These are not my account details! I wrote to complain about receiving this documentation which was obviously meant for another customer and they sent me another email reiterating that I had been refunded and called me Jill. What is going on?”

“I won't be buying from Roman in the future.I returned a garment on the 23rd May and i am still waiting for a refund. Despite sending 3 e.mails they haven't even had the decency to reply. Customer service is useless if you telephone. Have never encountered service this bad from any other shops.”

“Yes just like these other ladies i have not had any response from three emails that i have sent. Returned items have not been refunded , but yet the company takes your money quickly enough. I have bought from Roman for a long time and spent lots with them but just recently from beginning of May things seem to have gone pear shaped with their returns and refunds policy. Customer Service is so bad now. I am very disappointed with Roman and for sure will not order anything else until things improve. Come on Roman sort yourselves out.”
