In past month I have purchased 4 dresses and 2 tops. 5 separate parcels. The pricing is a con. You buy something then immediately get a discount code sent making it cheaper. Infuriating. I've fallen for this too many times now so will no longer purchase from Roman. Seems a very dishonest manipulation of customers.

Roman packaging is all plastic which is unacceptable. Two plastic bags where one would suffice and this has been the case for my occasional purchases over the years. Clearly no attempt to stop using plastic in order to be environmentally friendly, probably because it's quick, cheaper and possibly because the owner is focused on profit? Clothing mostly synthetic fibres too. Not good. Postage takes up to a week and returns cost £3! Be very careful

Won't buy again. Bought a pair of trousers which were not the right fit so went to the shop to return...no refunds! Ridiculous. Exchanged for a different pair of trousers which were awful so again took them back. They charge you full price for sale items if they are exchanges. The manager of Solihull store is awful and 'told me off' because they were creased! Won't buy from here again, either online or especially in store!

Emailed customer service last week I'm still waiting on a response that's well over a week now . I'm absolutely furious about the lack of communication. Not only we're the 2 tops I ordered for wife who's had cancer the tops eventually arrived to late.

After holding on to customer service for ages they phone line just went dead happened twice also there customer service 14 day for refund s etc is unacceptable time to shop else where

Before returning a dress that felt a bit loose, I ordered a smaller size to see if that fitted better, which it did. The smaller dress was £3 cheaper than the original, and they charged me for returning the larger one, so I ended up paying £6.75 more. I won't be buying from Roman again! With the smaller dress I ordered 2 other dresses in the same size, but ended up with a duplicate order, which I tried to cancel, so had 2 deliveries. Despite all being the same size, only one dress fitted.

Just ordered from Roman petite as it says on their website that returns can be taken to the local shop for immediate refund to find that this is only by gift card NOT WHAT ITS SAYS ON WEBSITE will not order from Roman again 21 working days for a refund is unacceptable

I explained on the refund return form that the colour and material were not as described and I therefore regarded the item as faulty. They discounted my refund by £3 despite this which is annoying. I have emailed them to ask them to reconsider. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞

My concern is with quality. I am in the process of remaking a dress ordered from Roman Originals. It is appallingly badly made. Everything including bodice darts is done by overlocking, and the back skirt is 2.5 cm longer than the front skirt. No wonder the side seams were badly puckered and it was never going to hang properly. I have kept the dress because I like the colouring of the fabric but I shall be very wary of ordering anything else from Roman.

Not really happy with customer service at present. My reasons for this have emailed them 3 times this week asking why they have over charged me an extra £3 on return postage. As on the invoice they sent me clearly states 2 options 1 being Track 48 charge of £3 to send back or option 2 pay your own postage. Which I did £3.69 . Expecting a full refund which clearly didn't happen leaving me £3 short of the original price paid for the dress! So now paid double the price of postage £6.69 instead of £3.69 ! For a repitical company of ROMAN don't think much of customer services over charging for refunds & no explanation as to why they have done this on return polices! Have no over complaints other than this!

Been a loyal customer for years but needed to use customer service for the first time today. Their staff are rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. I will never buy from them again. Very shortsighted of the company.

Fantastic quick delivery. I have ordered three times from Roman and am very happy with the service. The only criticism is that on some of the clothing the quality of the fabric hasn’t been that great. However you get what you pay for, I have paid for premium quality clothing else where but the price tag has been astronomical. The long boho dresses from Roman are beautiful.

Less than one star! Abysmal customer service from the start. I bought a dress, wore it three times and the pattern wore off under the arms. Emails were ignored for weeks on end despite reminders, then they say the time limit for return has passed and something about an expired “ticket” which has never been discussed. This I feel is a way of getting out of having to refund any money. Hiding under the whole Customer Services Department name rather than a named advisor. Some fantastic claims on their website about having an ethical sourcing policy and being Anti Slavery and Human Traficking. Shame they don’t care about their customers so vehemently! Selling items which are unfit for purpose and almost denying any chance of a refund is against the law I believe. I will be sending their details to Trading Standards.

Ordered a dress which when it arrived was of such dreadful quality fabric. I didn’t even bother to try it on, just packed it up and returned via Post Office . Very disgusted to be informed that £3 will be deducted from my refund to cover return postage!! First and last time that I will order from Roman. Let’s see if my refund turns up.. I submitted a 1 star review which hasn’t been published on the site and then discovered that my name has been attributed to a positive comment that I most definitely did not make! Avoid this company like the plague they do not appear to be very trustworthy

AVOID ROMAN AT ALL COSTS!! Bought several items from Roman and some, but not all required to be returned. The total amount to be returned, £269.00 worth. I followed their instructions online and used their return label along with obtaining the Royal Mail tracking number and sent them back. It was confirmed the items were received by Roman 2 days later. Royal Mail confirmed this. I had to contact Roman who confirmed they had received the items, however there was a delay in refunds. This was 4 weeks after they had received them. I then had no word 10 days later and again when contacted they confirmed the items had been received and they would be processing the refund soon. I thereafter received an email stating they could not refund the money unless I produced the purchase receipt for returning said items from the Royal Mail. Something I no longer had as Roman confirmed they had received the items and were sorting the refund. Roman have said unless they can see proof that I have purchased a recorded delivery return then they will NOT refund the goods. They have said it stated this on their website, which it does, however Roman have confirmed that they have received the items and they have then, but are refusing to refund my money or return the goods to me as I don’t have this receipt. Royal Mail have confirmed that this is not a policy they are aware of and cannot understand why they cannot refund the goods as they have signed for them at the other end. Trading Standards have been contacted who are very interested in this Roman policy and believe that this could be classed as theft or fraud of sorts. Avoid this company!! Absolutely disgusting and I am aware we are not the only people to have or are going through this!!!

They delivered a damaged item. I only noticed the hole on the inside when I went to wear it. I had removed the tags. I contacted them on the phone and a gift card was agreed. Also an unpleasant girl emailed that I couldn’t get the item refunded. So basically they aren’t reasonable and customer service is zero. Avoid buying! They won’t accept returns on damages as they should! They now tell me that there’s no record of the phone call!

Similar to others here, waiting on refund. Been through multiple emails with them and tickets that get closed without a resolution so you have to reopen tickets over and over again. Will not buy again.

Returned item. They claim to have processed refund but never received. No answer to emails. Customer service cut me off when I said I hadn’t received the refund . Don’t buy from this company.
