Booked a car to travel back from and event which was then cancelled. Even given that this was out of my control only a 10% refund was offered, which is wholly unreasonable in my opinion. Also, this company seems to set itself up as "local" by buying up domains taxi.co.uk and then slapping their national booking portal on there. There is nothing local, wholesome or customer-minded about this company. All round very shady and one to avoid at all costs!

Absolutely appalling service,left me stranded in Anfield,Liverpool no phone call ,message after I paid over the odds £23 single to lime street,should of been around £9. Paid upfront and just didn't turn up. Worst taxi company ever. Would never book with them ever again!! Be warned..!!!

Do not use this company, I had to cancel booking 6 days before offered to refund 10% of the cost of the booking. Total con, I wish I had checked this website.

DO NOT BOOK WITH TAXICODE!!! I booked to take the bridal party to my wedding on May 30th (which I mentioned in the booking) and they cancelled 2 hours prior to pick up via email- didn’t even call so I was very lucky I looked at my email on my wedding day. Checked my bank account and they had charged me! Rang to ask for a refund and the agent who answered was both unapologetic and uninterested- would give zero stars if I could.

AVOID by all means this company! Very bad experience with taxi code. I booked my pick up in advance and when I arrived I struggled to find the driver by calling him few times. After an hour waiting the driver called me and said that he has left!! I was surprised as just few minutes before I was told by taxi code customer service that the driver is in traffic!! The company is doing now everything to avoid paying me back the 30 GBP which I paid and did not receive ANY service for. I would recommend anything else but not this company. After waiting at the terminal, I had my Uber pickup 5 minutes after I requested this via Uber app.

Avoid!!! - booked a taxi weeks in advance from hotel to Hampden park stadium for a concert and back. Quote was £32.50 2hrs before said taxi I booked no longer available but they could send one for £150. Didn't call just emailed dumping us in it with no professionalism or politeness. Unreliable, untrustworthy scam.

Absolutely outrageous service. I booked and paid for a 16 seat mini bus to take us to a gig in Thetford Forest on Friday 21st June, this was a return journey. I booked a month in advance, I called a number of times asking why I hadn't received my confirmation and was told every time 'not to worry it was all good' and i would get my confirmation 1 week before my booking date. (that date came and went) I continued to call daily the run up to our event and was continually told my booking was secure. On Thursday 20th (the day before my event) I got an email saying they could not supply us with the transport id booked and would refund my £150.00 they'd held for a month. Thank god I saw fit to book another minibus through Stowmarket mini bus (who were wonderful) I found the men on the phone very rude and obviously very unhelpful. You worst company I have ever had to deal with.

NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!! NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!!! THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. USELESS AND CANCELLED LESS THAN 12 HOURS BEFORE! REPEAT! DO. NOT. USE. I booked a minibus for 10 people taking me from my home in London to Ascot to go racing a week in advance of the day. I rung them the day before to make sure the booking was confirmed, and they said it was all ready to go and the driver was confirmed. At 10pm at night, when the car was meant to be picking us up at 10am the next morning I got a cancellation email and a £5 off Voucher for £306 booking leaving 10 people stranded. This company is disgraceful and shouldn't be allowed to operate, especially when they say in their email 'Rest Assured you're in good hands' - YOU'RE NOT! They say that if your chosen provider were unable to allocate you a driver, we will automatically pass your booking on to another company at the same price - AGAIN NOT TRUE! Please again, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. It has caused me so much stress and now having to pay for another service at a much higher price as it's less than 12 hours before and now the middle of the night.

Horrible is an understatement, just plain robbery I’ll call this. DO NOT BOOK!!! AVOID TAXICODE... Bunch of Cowboys, I can not believe they are allowed to operate in this manner. Booked a taxi with Taxicode almost 2 weeks before my trip. Taxi driver was so nice when he rang and told me he didn’t have a taxi for the journey from Devon to London. I said if he had a bigger car I’d add one more passenger, he said he still didn’t have a taxi. So I msg him to say we didn’t need a bigger car anyway. All we needed was our original taxi booked via Taxicode. The driver was honest and said he was sorry but didn’t have any taxi and that Taxicode was aware. although still said he would look around. In the end he didn’t turn up on the day. We had no choice after waiting for him 2hours after we where suppose to set off than to get a train tickets costing us almost double . Trying to get my refund back has been a nightmare only to receive a msg stating I only receive half my money back even though it was NOT my fault I sent them my msg between myself and the taxi driver but yet they offered me 50% refund when you expect them to be more understanding and even compensate me for all the troubles. Not sure why Taxicode is allowed to operate this way. I have got all my correspondence between myself, the taxi drive and Taxicode - this is robbery... they must be stopped. I am going to take action - I’m so annoyed at how I have been treated. For your own good Avoid Avoid Avoid!!! Don’t book with Taxicode.

Dreadful customer service. Unreliable. If you're trying to get any form of refund, I wouldn't waste your time - called to cancel my taxi literally 1 minute after it was confirmed, and I was charged the full price of the journey.

I needed to cancel a booking within 24 hours for a requirement 10 weeks ahead. After many ignored emails I was charged 55% of the initial fee.

Would give less than one star if i could - booked two vehicles, one normal car for two girls and an eight seater from Parklife for midnight on the 10th June, despite ringing twice in the day to confirm everything was fine and them confirming "absolutely everything is fine, all confirmed" they canclled both vehicles 15 minutes before the due time, leaving them stranded for several hours during the night - not at all ideal especially for young girls on their own. Did Complain and they said "sorry for your experience" which was a total fob off, did not care, did not explain..... do NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are not trustworthy at all.

I booked a car and on the,on line form it had a note for requirements , I put that I needed 2 child seats, they sent me a confirmation email ,confirming my booking , at no time did anyone tell me that I would not get the child seats, I found out 3 days before because I SENT AN EMAIL TO CONFIRM MY BOOKING AND THE CHILD SEATS,IT WAS THEN THAT I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD NOT BE GETTING THE SEATS, clearly they were leaving it till it was to late to do anything about it, so that I would lose the £124.50p that it cost me , I contacted the company and the person I was talking to agreed that the confirmation should not have been sent and I would receive a full refund, 15 minutes later they call me and someone else said I would only get 10% back because I cancelled late, again they should not have confirmed if they could not provide what I asked for. 20 minutes later they called again and said that they had found 2 child seats but I would have to pay £10 for each seat,I said not to this and they hung up, on the day I was going they called 1 hour before and said my cab will turn up , I asked if he had child seats in the cab ,but was told no, I said that I cannot have the car without the seats that they confirmed, he then said if you don't want it I would lose all my money. I DO FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN MUGGED, AND HAD £124.50P STOLEN FROM ME. THEY LET THE TIME RUN DOWN SO THEY CAN TAKE MONEY OFF YOU, CLEARLY YOU DO NOT VET YOUR CAB COMPANIES, TO SORT OUT THE BAD FROM THREE GOOD . PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, RAN A MILE FROM IT . I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE BASED IN THIS COUNTRY.AVOID

Unacceptable! I've hired a taxi from the airport to London city. while I was flying they cancelled the reservation and sent me an email (which of course I couldn't see until arrived). Then they offered to reimburse in 4-5 days... incredible how can they be so bad at customer service nowadays...

I booked a taxi using a website called London City Taxis' and saw a company called 'Executive Cars" doing a good deal. So I booked with a 10% deposit. It was only after booking I realised it came under 'Taxi code'. It was very sneaky of them. As I tried to avoid going with them after being ripped off previously. I kept checking the status of my booking and it kept saying 'unconfirmed'. I did not receive an email confirming. So I decided to cancel. As it was not confirmed it was ok as no driver had been booked. Then I see that they have taken money for the journey off my card!!!!! They NEVER respond to your emails. They are a TERRIBLE company. They have taken my money and done NOTHING for it. I strongly recommend that nobody uses this company. They should be investigated for trading standards. And this is what I have said to my credit card company and trying to get my money back.

Booked a Taxi 2 weeks in advance for a night out in Chester (Intent was to travel from Chester back to Wrexham). TAXICODE confirmed the booking with a Company called "MiniBus4U" and all seemed well. 1 week before the booking they emailed to say that the booking was cancelled due to no driver allocation and said to re-book with a different provider. So, I did, but somehow TAXICODE decided that the same company "MiniBus4U" was the provider once again. I located MiniBus4U via phone and even confirmed with them that they do not work for TAXICODE and definitely not in the Chester region. So I challenged TAXICODE saying that they are using a provider who will not even confirm a taxi. To which they responded with a Cookie cutter response of "We are just confirming the details of your driver with your provider, please wait a while longer". This was whilst I had a written confirmation that "MiniBus4U" did not work for them. Which they completely ignored, probably did not even open to see. Lo and behold, 4 hours before the booking was set to pick me up, the booking was cancelled. What a surprise! Luckily I had already preplanned another booking knowing that they would do this. Do not book with this company. They have horrendous customer service, and essentially lied to me over the phone and email about mt concerns of "MiniBus4U". Will never be using the company again. Just call a local taxi firm and they will do it 5x better than TAXICODE will. Would give 0 star is possible - company is 1 step away from being a downright scam.

If you want to avoid troubles and lose your money try to avoid this company. I had late flight to London and found this company as a good alternative to Uber with price choice to chose and driver meet you in airport no time waste. Sounds good but this company just unreliable broker with no knowledge and experience to handle problems and deliver want they promise. I received email from them in airplane One minute before take off and put mobile on flight mode. They informed me that my booking was cancelled as driver is not coming and offered another driver with rates instead £27 for short drive £45 and I should pay cash and possible even more if ride will take longer. Perfect service isn't it? I agreed as was too late to do anything with switched off phone. But it was first and last time I used this company. The choice is yours..
