I ordered Hatch Chili Bacon, Tamales, and whole mild Hatch Green Chilies. I understand the bacon was delayed. I would have appreciated a shipment of Chilies when they were available even if there was a separate shipping charge. All someone had to do is ask if I wanted the separate shipment.

The tamales and rellenos were thawed out when I received them. It took 3 days to receive them and I only live 30 minutes from Hatch. The coating on all of them was coming off. They are not that great for what I paid for them.

VERY PRICEY. YOUR NEW PRODUCT BACON IS JAW DROPPING EXPENSIVE. LOVE MY CHILI JUST NOT GETTING RAKED OVER THE COALS ON PRICES. ORDERED RELLENOS. BATTER A POOR REPRESENTATION OF A GOOD RELLENO. THEY ARE NOT RESTAURANT QUALITY AND CHARGED GOURMET OVER THE TOP PRICES.

.....actually my rating wasn't on the taste...because I have not figured out how I am going to do that yet. When I received my tamales...they were all frozen together and if I thaw them just to use 2-3 because it is only my husband and myself...then do I refreeze them and then do I do this everytime I want to use them....refreeze...refreeze....that concerns me. Not sure sure why I received them like this. I called in and talked to a very nice man.....but he was young and really had no idea what to do.... So this is my issue..... Thanks, Karen Prokash

Hi Karen, Thanks for your feedback. Sometimes frozen food can get stuck together like this if it gets slightly thawed and refrozen. We recommend thawing them in the refrigerator, separating them into meal portions of 2-3 each, then refreezing them in separate freezer bags. The USDA says it's completely safe to thaw previously cooked foods in the refrigerator, then refreeze the unused portions. Some of our packages of chili roasted were on the mild side and I purchased hot chili!! Hopefully the rest of the order is hot!!!

I was disappointed with the Chile I got this time. I ordered medium heat and it had no heat at all and very little flavor. I’ve ordered for over 20 years and this was the first time I was disappointed.

I ordered the jarred hot green chilies. While the flavor was good, these were not Hot, at best they were mild, am I’m not sure they were even that hot. Having lived in New Mexico for 11 years, I know hot green Chile when I have one, I would at least feel them in my mouth and lips. These barely made a tingle on my lips and nothing anywhere else. I ordered the Extra Hot, I hope these are better and live up to the Hatch Chili 🌶️ standards, hot sure didn’t.

Well, the Chile rellenos arrived defrosted so per your recommendation I refroze them. The batter reflected the freezer taste and there was basically minimal cheese inside. The worst Chile relleno I have ever tasted. They went in the trash. The tamales also arrived defrosted. These were not bad, but definitely not the best! I don’t think refreezing was the best option. I also ordered 3 jars of the HOT green Chile peppers! They are mild at best. When the jars came there was dust build up on the lids. The bottom sticker said 110521. And 0523. So I assume they were canned on Nov 05, 2021 and will expire May of this year. Very disappointed in all products!

I lived in NM for a long time, so I order green chili often. I have had good luck & bad luck. This time it was bad. I bought peed roasted “hot” frozen chili. But the chili tastes raw, like it wasn’t roasted enough. It was also “medium” at best. It costs a lot of money to get it shipped here, and the experience was like opening a fine bottle of wine & and the cork just crumbles.

I've been a customer for years and this year it appears that you're overextended I had to call twice since the initial order was incorrect and, in fact, showed billing going to the person so whom I had sent the gift. Shipping was delayed and, when I called the person couldn't tell me if the chiles had been shipped as part of your most expensive gift bundle. After delayed shipping two boxes arrived and then I received an email that a third box (containing the chiles) had been shipped. Aside from this poor customer service I would also ask that you take a look at how much of your packaging cannot be recycled and therefore is being trashed into the environment. I hope someone at Hatch Chile actually reads tis email.

Ordered chili 3 weeks before it finally got sent, nobody put 2and2 together when they finally sent that we were having a hurricane then. Chilli arrived half thawed because it took longer to deliver. Never had issues till now, not sure if I will do again...

Long time Chile roaster and consumer, native NM. I am disappointed in the quality of the roasted and peeled green chile this year and last year as well. The flavor is OK, but the texture is not what I have experienced for the previous 30+ years. The chile meat is darker, not the beautiful light green of years gone by, and the texture is somewhat "rubbery". That is the only way I know to describe it. The chile meat has a crunch to it when chewed which I do not find to be ideal, I do not recall that ever happening in the past years, aside from last year. I will try again next season and hope for a return to the texture I prefer.

I have been purchasing Hatch Chile for many years now. This is the first year that the word HOT wasnot what was expected. I feel Medium or even Mile would best describe it. Not sure why (season or wrong order) but I was disappointed with how mild the green roasted & chopped chiie was.
