I purchased a collector’s item from the USA and the retailer sent to the UK by UPS. UPS charge a brokerage fee to allegedly pay for so called expert brokers to ensure that the correct import duty/VAT is charged. For collector’s items such as this, there is plenty of clear information from HMRC stating that VAT is charged at 5%. UPS though have sent me a request for 4 times this -20%. They have done this despite asking me to complete a form which clearly states that the items is a collector piece. They are now saying it is down to HMRC and not their issue and are holding my package hostage unless I pay the tax. I have heard from many fellow collectors and have read media pieces which state that this is a very regular occurrence with UPS. Avoid at all costs.

Most UPS Drivers are very, very unprofessional, angry issues and/or with no communication or matter skills what so ever. Now I understand what UPS stand for: Unprofessional People Services.

I had a package that was shipped using UPS and the whole process was the bain of my existence. To start, they said my package was delivered- it was not, after calling customer support they said because the address number was incorrect it was undeliverable (not delivered as originally stated). I updated the address number and was told by EOD my order would be updated with a new delivery date. This never happened. After a week of waiting, I once again called customer support to find out they planned to ship my package back to the sender. I was able to stop the package where it was for a pick up. I had to drive across town where my package was only to be told they'd misplaced my package and would call me when they located it. As this was a Friday and I was going to be out of town on a vacation Monday they took my information and told me they'd call when they found it and TRY to hold it if it showed up while I was gone. That was 2 weeks ago! Fun thing- when I attempted to call the direct number for that location the phone line was busy and disconnected me. Called customer service AGAIN for them to tell me the package was returned to the sender (while I was on vacation) and that I would have to contact the sender for my package now. To say everything went wrong is an understatement. This was extremely frustrating, so much so that I'm here writing this review, I've never written a bad review in my life but THIS?! Unacceptable! If you can avoid ever dealing with UPS, I strongly encourage you to!

I mailbox with the ups store at 213 N Stephanie St., I'm only a couple of days late on renting my mailbox and they deny you access. Management there is rude and they seemed very judgmental and cold. I'm still expecting a package that they claimed they never received but my end says otherwise.

I was out of town and when i got back i had a notice from ups saying sorry we couldnt leave your package signatire is required by the customer service rep that was left at door on the 24th and were going to attempt 25th so apparently they decide to leave it i get home from being gone for 4 days pick up the notice call them and they said it was delivered. I go to the ups and the lady was extremely rude she was no help at all tells me to call the 1800 number i call and they hanged up or call got disconnected twice, finally i get a person that barely speaks english all she did through the call was apologize at least she did that all she could do was send me a link to my email to do a claim at least that is what she said waited an hour never got it so i went on line to find a way to do a claim. Well it ask me how many items and then the price of each item but it doesnt let me add one by one so anyway my frustration is awful that im not even going to claim and loose almost $200 im also going to cancel that credit card because they are the only one from all the places i continously order that use the sorry ups. I dont ever want to deal with them ever and i will make sure i ask on my future orders who will deliver my package and if its ups i will cancel and never order from that place. I know the websites i order are not at fault but if they are using ups i dont want to deal with them either.

Ups NEVER delivers to our address! We always end up having to go pick our package up. Now they are trying to charge us a fee because they won't deliver our package. All other companies deliver here without an issue. We are not on the usual beaten path. I honestly believe the drivers are too lazy to come to our house. If there was anyway to know before we order something that it would be sent to ups for delivery We would cancel our order. We are very dissatisfied! It's nearly impossible to speak to a actual person and when we finally do they are rude and unhelpful. I give ups 0 stars. But that option is not available in order to submit our complaint.

UPS is terrible. Their employees are very rude. The lady that delivered my package definitely hates her job. I always try to avoid UPS if possible.

Horrible experience! I shipped a 401 k rollover check through UPS. I realized they lost my check 10 days later. Tried following up for another couple of weeks. They told me the check was lost and I needed to file a claim. Meanwhile I had to cancel the check and ask my old 401 k provider to issue a new one. UPS made me run in circles between the store and their customer service to resolve the claim I filed. I visited the store at least 4 times. And called and emailed their customer service a couple of times each. 15 days after the check was reported as lost, UPS found and delivered the now cancelled check. Which created more issues for me with my new 401 k provider who deposited it and then had to revert the payment. I am still sorting out this issue. However, UPS at their end, very casually closed my claim with no resolution. They didnt even pay me pack the shipping charges they charged me for a package they lost. Let alone reimbursing me for the trips to their store and the trouble they put me through cancelling and re-issuing checks.

Still waiting on the same package for 2 weeks. Has had to have the shipper send the package 4 different times with special instructions due to my disability but UPS refuses to leave it at my door like they have been asked to do several times. So now I will have to make special arrangements to get to a drop off point, THANKS UPS...

I found out something this week that left a true distaste in my mouth for UPS as a whole. This has nothing to do with the packages, delivery or drivers - it's with the company itself and their protocol. Once a UPS driver has completed their long tedious shift of delivering over 100-200 heavy packages per day - like a regular employee anywhere else, they would like to go home and rest or be with their family. However, I found out that UPS makes the drivers that finish their load early go help those other drivers that are seemingly not up to par or milking the clock. This could mean taking another 30-60+ more stops (100+ packages or more) off of another driver that doesn't want to work as hard. So instead of rewarding the employee that completed their job in a timely manner by letting them go home as their work for the day has been completed, they are FORCING those that work hard to help those that don't. This means that the hard working driver(s) have to work an extra 3-4 hours per day. The grueling job takes a toll on the UPS drivers bodies on a regular work day - and God help the ones working even extra hard to accommodate those that don't. In any other company that I've known - the reward goes to the hard workers, not the lazy bums. The slower drivers that milk the clock should have to complete their own shift themselves. I find it unreal that whoever is drafting this protocol wouldn't realize what a bad idea this is. This concept completely ruins any good employees work ethic and morale - and now ruins my taste for them as a company.

They delivered my package to my neighbor, and then someone stole it from my porch. The tracking numbers don't work. I would almost rather just drive 2 hours away to get what I need because UPS is not reliable what so ever and I am amazed that they can't deliver packages to the right house even thought the house number are VISIBLY DIFFERENT.

UPS ~ Appalling Service My Shipment was damaged beyond repair, I cannot find out where it is I am led to believe it has been retrieved back from the Recipient (who didn't know it had been delivered as they had not left a card and it was our of sight!) Unware UPS were to recollect it although the driver was dam rude and impatient. I can't file a claim because their system won't let me. No further on after 3 waste of time phone calls! Absolutely disgusting.

I have a long driveway but the last 2 shipments delivered by UPS has been left sitting at the bottom in the middle of my driveway in the pouring rain. I have plenty of space to turn around and a covered porch. The service has increasingly declined from UPS. Very dissatisfied.

UPS notified us delivery Fri 14th 10:30 - 13:30. Bit miffed as that was my wifes birthday and we were going out to the Friars for 12:30 Mass. Then thought well we can go out afterwards. Tracking said out for delivery from about 12miles away, 13:30 came and went no delivery. 17:30, 19:30, 22:00hrs we gave up and went to bed. No contact from UPS to say why. Now it says Monday, do I believe them, no. Not suppliers fault, but seems UPS trying to be the new Heremes with poor customer service?

Package notice left call back and now waiting in hall from 2 to 3:30. On phone again and there's no 2 to 3. I just sat in the hallway staring at the sun to be told later eta not disclosed. We'll try to call you. I need this item as the heatwave is making me and my service animal sick. I'm gunna guess later I'll have another note that makes no sense What a waste of a whole day 11-3:50 chasing them. Go ship else where and pay the extra penny. This is not worth the migraine don't do it to yourself...

Terrible experience. Will never use them again. You call about your pkg and they just lie and tell you whatever. First of all they lost it. Then after I can continuously calling got a supervisor who called and found it in Ft Worth and told me someone would call me in 1 hour. We'll no one ever called. I kept calling people and was told lie after lie about where it was. I was given a number to call in Ft Worth and I called it 26 times no answer and no one ever called me back. I was told it was on a truck. No it wasn't. Then I was told they would call dispatch. I got a call from the wrong State. Finally my son drove 2 hours to Ft Worth to the hub and they said it was there but they were still looking for it at close. They put my son on a call list. Thanks UPS you just screwed me over. I paid $109.00 to get it overnight and now 4 days later still no pkg. UPS ruined our trip to Europe that my son waited 6 years to get to go on. You cost me a ton of money and ruined our trip. Pitiful company. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

I am very frustrating about UPS has still not delivered my package to UK which I sent it 17 days before. UPS takes high price for express shipment but there it is, you can see it attached. On the other hand I sent another package beginning of the week with FEDEX. FEDEX has already delivered my package and is taken only 3 days find it attached. Thank you FEDEX, good by ups.

After sitting in front of my open door over 4 hours I received an attempted delivery notice on their app. Thier app showed the driver in the Taco Belle parking lot behind my apt complex when I received the notice. This is not the first time. I watched on the app as the driver went past my address 3 times and did not come I the complex. There is no gates, fences, pets, codes or anything else that would hinder a delivery. With much luck my package will show up today. I am a disabled senior citizen and really don't need any type of stress. I also do not deserve to be lied to. The drivers do not care because the company does not care, you can't even talk to a person at customer service it's just a runaround to tell you what you already know. Where there is no accountability there is no service. The BBB gives them a high rating but the reviews there are even worse than here, go figure.
