“Welcome Pickups took £120 for two transfers, then they cancelled before the pick up time. We then had to pay again to independent taxis to bring us from Glasgow Airport to the West End and back again. Told via email that if I didn't reclaim the full refund within 48 hours then they would send me a voucher. Then when I click to claim the full refund, the page doesn't work. Avoid !!!”

“The driver was over 30 minutes late for pick up at the airport. I suggested this to a friend BEFORE I used it and she had a horrible experience in Panama. Will NEVER USE AGAIN”

“I booked two transfers from SFO to Berkeley with Welcome Pickups (for 7 people in total). Both were cancelled by Welcome Pickups – the first one about 11 hours before pickup, the second one while we were already on the plane to San Francisco. I had to organize an alternative taxi for four children and three adults at the last minute right after landing – exactly the kind of stress I wanted to avoid by booking in advance. Even worse, although both bookings were cancelled by Welcome Pickups, the refund I received was about €40 less than what I originally paid. Customer service was friendly but completely unhelpful, simply blaming “bank fees” instead of taking responsibility for a refund shortfall that clearly resulted from their own cancellations. A company that cancels confirmed transfers and leaves customers to cover extra costs cannot be considered reliable. I will definitely not use Welcome Pickups again and would advise others to be cautious before booking.”

“Our luggage was lost by American airlines. I informed our driver we were filling out a form to get our luggage back and he left us stranded at the airport with no transportation. I called the dispatcher who told me to take a taxi ,to our condo (150.00) and the company will reimburse me. The company lied, they did not reimburse me.”

“Our e patience with our driver Pedro was excellent. We booked a transfer from our accommodation to the Buenos Aires Airport this morning and our driver was not only there on time, but 10 or 12 mins. early. He was very pleasant and engaged, and spoke excellent English. He was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had about the city and the airport. We had an excellent transfer experience :))”

“We had an extremely bad experience with them. We used their service in Entigua and Cancun Mexico few weeks back and we were never told that they have a third party service provider there. Our pickup vehicle was involved in an accident which resulted in one of our family member getting hurt. We spent the next day at the private hospital after being referred to by the hotel doctor. That cost us almost USD$3,000.00 and we missed on all our excursions. When we enquired with Welcome Pickup for the hospital charges they asked us to contact the driver who drove us. They were extremely unprofessional and did not care at all. Highly recommend not to use their services.”

“Horrible experience with this company. Booked a ride from the Naples airport to our hotel and then canceled within a few minutes when we saw that the wait for the driver was over a half an hour and that there were taxis readily available. I canceled both online and then I called and spoke directly with the driver and told him we would not need the ride. He said that was fine, no problem. About 25 minutes later I received several emails from the company saying that my driver was waiting for us at the airport and then that he left the airport when we “failed to show up” and that they were charging us $75. I am now going to have to dispute the charge. What a hassle. I’d look for other options.”

“I've had good experiences of WP around the world, but had terrible experiences with them in Bogota: drivers who don't show up and send some random friend in their place. Then when you make a complaint, they contact you direct to ask what the problem is. On top of that, WP then assign the same unreliable driver for the next job. Avoid them at all costs.”

“Do Not Use. Read the other 1star reviews. Terrible. Cancelled our pickup to the Cabo Mx airport 3 hours before pick up. Prepaid reservation made more than a month ahead of time and confirmed 48 hours before pick up. Left scrambling in Mexico to arrange alternative transportation which was very stressful and much more expensive at the last minute. Totally unreliable. Will not use again.”

“DON'T BOOK, TOTAL SCAM!! Pre-booked and paid for a ride from Cartagena, COL airport to my hotel. They said the driver will wait an hour after you land. It is WELL known that it Always takes More than an hour to go thru customs (which I didn't know at the time)!! The driver left and I prepaid in order to book the ride. Order an Uber outside the airport instead. It came in 2 mins and it was Less than 1/2 the price!!”

“2 bad experiences in 3 days. First, our transfer was cancel during the fly. So, after landing in Montevideo we find out that we have no transfer. We took a taxi for x3 normal price (It was 25.12 😅). Second, 28.12 the driver didn’t come to pick us from the hotel. Once again we had to take a Taxi. This time for x2 price (Sunday 😅). Finaly what do you think about this transfer App???”

“Our driver did not meet us , we were met by a Norges taxi . Had I been travelling on my own as a woman I would not have used the taxi. No communication about the change in arrangements. The driver did not have a Welcome notice , just a card with my name on it. The car was not clean and my seat belt did not work properly. No help with luggage. Certainly have now deleted the welcome app. Be careful when booking , expensive in my opinion.”

“Our Budapest experience was very positive. David was on time, reached out ahead of time to confirm collection and give us directions. He was a very safe driver and shared very useful information about the city. The whole experience was very positive. I will definitely use Welcome Pickups again, a very efficient service.”

“I was contacted several days before so new who was collecting me from Agadir airport,his photo,the type of vehicle and registration number. As a single female adult it is important to feel safe in a foreign country and using Welcome Pickups is a very safe and secure way to travel. I have used them four times now and would thoroughly recommend them.”

Driver, Marinescu C. communicated where he was located at the airport upon my arrival and I was able to connect with him easily soon after I exited the baggage claim area. Marinescu was very friendly and professional. Overall, I'm glad that I reserved the transportation service because it was easy and convenient.”
