“I have been using the Agency Future Formula for over a year. I was already on .025 tretinoin prior to starting, so they started me on .035 with niacamide, azelaic acid, and trans acid due to my history of rosacea. I have gotten responses when I have questions and they have slowly increased me up to .1 tretinoin. My skin looks great and I now regularly get compliments. I am 49 with fine lines and some uneven texture. No acne.”
“I have pretty good skin, no real complaints, but I was interested in trying a tretinoin product for preventative anti-aging, etc. Well, one week into using their "Future Formula" and moisturizer and my skin has never looked worse. Dry, flaky, and acne all over. Besides an occasional premenstrual zit, I never had acne before. After reading the reviews on this site, I'm not willing to give these products any more time as it seems based on others experiences, my skin is likely to only get worse.”

“I really liked the products at first. I felt like my skin looked really clear and I didn't have any T-zone shine. But after using for a few months I noticed that I was dealing with a reaction. I kept getting a puffy upper lip and eye. Dry itchy patches were common too. The "expert" advice isn't really tailored to you. It is more of a generic check-in. Even the advice you get when you have an issue is very generic. They pretty much tell you to scale back and use vaseline if your skin is dry. Seems sus to me. Also I hate that you cannot customize your shipment. I couldn't use some of the products at first as I had a reaction, so I have two bottles or product and my subscription wants to send me more. I just don't think it is worth the money. It is not one on one advice any time you need and I wonder how much it is really tailored to your specific needs. You could better personalize results from seeing a dermatologist or esthetician.”

“Like other reviewers, I too am thinking of throwing in the towel on this company. My skin has never been worse. It started out promising for the first 2 months or so, with dark spots fading and skin looking even with smaller pores. Now, it’s like every pore, especially on my forehead, is swollen and about to burst. I’ve used the Future formula for over 6 months. I’ve also been on sporonolactone for over three years, which I thought would insulate me from worrying about breakouts. The acne I’m currently suffering with is so embarrassing that I’ve stopped wanting to look at mirrors or leave the house. It’s particularly worse that time of the month of course, but those episodes linger for weeks now, one breakout healing just as another one is starting up. I was using regular ol’ tretinoin .1% for years and in my initial photos submitted to Agency my face is perfectly clear, apart from a some redness. I would kill for that skin right now! Just be grateful for the skin you have, I’m screaming at that photo. Stop chasing rainbows! This “future” formula is a present day nightmare.”
“I’ve been using agency skincare for 6 months now and my skin has never looked worse. I started out with clear skin and rarely had a pimple. 6 months in and I have full blown acne. I kept waiting thinking the purging would stop and it’s only gotten worse. I’m so angry that I even tried this in the first place. I just went through 6 months of terrible embarrassing skin for nothing and now I have red marks and acne everywhere. It’s also not cheap so I wasted a bunch of money too.”
“I didn’t get this product for free— I fell for the ig ads saying I could get tret without having to visit a derm. I got the free first month and have continued into my second month (paying for all the products) … I wasn’t feeling great about my skin when I started. I can honestly say now that fine lines have been reduced and my skin looks brighter and pores smaller (I think) … I had a pretty epic skincare regimen before I started from a brand that is incredible but I had too many products and forgot when to do what… it kind of became too much of a chore for me to keep up with.
I really love the simplicity of this routine! I’m getting most of my former products at once, as they are mixed in with the moisturizer, dark spot & tret formulas. It’s easy to remember when to do what.
The formulas are really nice. I am in love with the face wash. It leaves my skin so soft, but takes my makeup off super easily. It also doesn’t burn my eyes.
The moisturizer feels like velvet. It doesn’t make my skin greasy but gives it a nice glow.
The tret and dark spot formula seem to be working and they also feel nice.
I have not peeled or had any skin irritation other than a little redness sometimes. I did a lot of research before putting tret on my face so I slowly introduced it without any bother.
I started by keeping it on for like 30 min and then washing it off. Now I keep it on all night about 5 nights per week.
I’m a fan. I feel like all the negative reviews are from improper use or jealous old broads who don’t want to share their new secret 🤫”
“I have been using these products for over a year. My main complaint is both the creams pill. I doesn’t matter how much I use or what order I use it with other creams or serums. I’ve even used it by itself and it still pills! I contacted the company and they said the product might be to cold (this was summer time my house is typically 76) or not mixed properly, try shaking it up. The cream is so thick I’m not convinced it mixed at all. I have had many refills, same issue every time. It’s too much money for products that I basically can’t use!”
“It’s ok but due to how much it pills on my skin, it really makes me miss using my tretinoin in a tube from the pharmacy that I had used for years previous. I don’t know if it’s just me but no matter how I apply this version of tretinoin-alone, ontop of a serum, on just a light moisturizer, no matter what it pills. I don’t have dry skin or peeling skin at all so this is super frustrating when I feel like half the fhe formula is scattered around my face in weird dried up clumps I’m never sure if it’s even penetrated into my skin. I literally use a pea sized amount like I always have. I’ve even tried to use less I’ve tried to use more. I don’t get it! The one thing I have found that SOMEWHAT helps is a specific Korean moisturizer I can put it on about an hour prior to future formula and as long as I do it really quick and don’t take more than 10-15 seconds rubbing it on then it usually doesn’t pill as much. I wish they’d add some type of squalane or something in this to make it a tiny bit less dry. Maybe I’ve just got a bad bottle? I never hear anyone else talk about this.”
“In regard to the user experience, I was impressed. It was seamless, fast, responsive and easy to navigate. 5 stars for that. Bought into the agency experience because I wanted to try the dark spot formula. I have relatively nice and clear skin just some dark spots from pregnancy and sun exposure.
I tried the formula and it took my skin from clear to breaking out like a teenager. I have been absolutely mortified as to how poorly my skin responded. After a few weeks I decided to throw in the towel. Just not good for me.
Cancellation was simple and without a hassle. Sad that the product didn’t work and created more problems.”

The doctors give you generic advice, and even though I took progress pictures and such throughout, they were not helpful or sympathetic about having zero results after 9 months. Save your money for an actual dermatologist.”
“This is a good basic prescription for tretinoin. My biggest complaint is shipping and tracking. Customers should be allowed to track their prescription products after it is shipped. Agency only uses the cheapest method of shipping prescription medication with USPS and there is absolutely no way for customer to track shipment. All other online companies of this nature send their customers tracking information and Agency needs to step up and do the same”
“I really really really wanted to like this company/regimen, but unfortunately it was not to be. I’m someone who rarely leaves reviews, but I felt like I needed to in this case. I used it for 2.5 months, and my skin has never looked worse. I was fully prepared for the dryness and flaking that comes with retinol in the beginning. But, with ongoing use of Agency products, my skin became more sullen, pores and fine lines much more noticeable, dry and just overall lackluster. I also started developing little bumps and raised patches, almost like tiny pimples but not. I looked older and more tired, keeping in mind that nothing in my life changed. I for the most part eat healthy, drink water and I don’t consume alcohol. I canceled my subscription because I couldn’t afford to continue using it, hoping for a turn around.”

Let me tell you how much I love these products! About a year and a half ago I noticed a lot of dark spots starting to pop up all over my face. I then started hiding behind makeup to cover the spots.
Within 2 weeks of starting my Agency journey I started to see a difference in my spots and my skins tone. Before Agency my spots could be seen though full coverage foundation. I am happy to report that after 12 weeks that is not the case.
My skin tone is smoother, glowing and younger looking.
I am loving the confidence these products have given me. No more hiding behind make up. Most days I only wear moisturizer, sunscreen, and a tinted primer.

“I was able to try Agency Skincare for three months complimentary in exchange for my honest review. Thanks to influencer :) After taking a short skincare quiz and uploading *unfiltered* photos of your skin, I they had a dermatology provider create a custom skincare formula just for me. I received the Future Formula and Dark Spot Formula as I have a couple dark spots on my cheek from the sun. I was very happy with the product, it was mild and did not interact with my skin at all. Each month before the new formula was sent out the dermatologist checked in with me to see if my formula needed adjusted. I was able to get more than a month out of the formula as I only needed one pump, but everyone is different so it’s possible that might not be the case for you. I really enjoyed their product and look forward to trying others they offer.”

My only reservation in continuing would be the high price point, but it is comparable to a visit to the dermatologist and many prescription product costs with a lot less hassle! The nurse practitioner really listened to my concerns and even suggested several products from other companies to help with my acne- I bought 2 of them and they were amazing finds that have really helped with my chest acne! I felt that my future formula was very personalized to my needs and wants and the provider checked in to ensure that I wasn’t having any issues before increasing the concentration for month 2. The directions were very clear and repeated and as a pharmacist I know it was great advice (eg applying retinoids at bedtime to dry skin and wearing sunscreen). The product itself was very tolerable when used as directed. I experienced minimal redness and I like the easy to use pump packaging. I felt that I was given very realistic expectations and I noticed both less acne (not the primary goal) and improvement in the appearance of my pores.”
