I recently purchased a product from Argos and was promised next day delivery. Unfortunately i did not receive it the next day. I was forced to stay at home waiting for a parcel that was not coming. I only found out that Argos had not yet dispatched the parcel until i contacted Yodel. Argos should not make promises if they can not deliver. I rather have been told it will be delivered after 5 days and get it that day rather than waste my day waiting for a parcel. Very Disappointed with the service. On trying to contact the customer service of Argos i spent over 45minutes on HOLD and got fed up and just hung up. Surely no company can be that busy that a call can not be answered in 45minutes. Would not recommend shopping with Argos online, very poor service. Probably the worst service i have ever received.

Unutterably rubbish. Used fast track, told it was in store and it wasn't when went to collect. Everybody blamed by Argos, except themselves, told it was left off the delivery, not delivered, it was delivery company. The manager of the store said delivery dates were estimates, even when the wording shows it was a) in store and b) available to collect. Unreliable, unwilling to fix a problem, extraordinary lack of interest in a customer.

I have just bought an item from this store which is faulty. However thats not the main issue here. I hate my local Argos Bradford Forster square. Whenever you return something here they look at you as though you have done something wrong. Not happy that I have to take this faulty item back to them wish I had not bought it in the first place. I have had a couple of bad experiences and have avoided the store since. However, I had some vouchers which could be used at Argos and So I made the mistake of using them here. I will now be asking someone else to return this item for me. In general everyone I have spoke to about the Bradford Forster square store have had nothing positive to say. Management are very poorly trained and staff with headsets seem to be on power trips with customers and other members of staff. Some people have said customers are treated differently based on skin color. I have had too many bad experiences with this store. Staff generally have a bad attitude with customers. Argos you need to send in some mystery shoppers please dont take my word for it. Or have your staff shadow neighboring stores such as tk makks with exceptionally good customer service. The queues in this store are horrendous but something needs to be done about the customer service. if you dont intend to carry items out ANYMORE the place should have signs saying so. Also if you refuse to carry items out for one person its unfair if you do it for another. Furthermore, if a customer tries to make conversation its very rude to ignore them, leaves people feeling a bit awkward. Once more it should be a fair service for all customers and be consistent with rules. Otherwise its quite easy for people to take things personally and feel they are treated unfairly.

Placed an order with Argos on Friday 20/11/15 requesting ( and paying for a home delivery). The delivery was scheduled for Monday 23/11/15 between 10-00 am & 1-00 pm I stayed at home all day but the order never arrived. Thinking that the delivery van may be busy, I stayed at home all day on Tuesday 24/11/15 too, but still received no delivery. During that day I tried to contact Argos customer "on line" help but was given a computer massage stating that the address was not valid, I made two phone calls but gave up trying to get through to someone to speak to and I also sent two e-mails. At just before 10-00 pm on Wednesday 25/11/15 I received a message from Argos telling me that the problem had been resolved and the delivery would be made between 07-00 am & 10-00 pm Thursday 26/11/15 ( a 15 hr delivery window). Once again I stayed at home to receive the delivery, but guess what, it never arrived ! For three days out of four this week I have been unable to leave the house due to waiting for promised deliveries that have never arrived. I cant believe a major high street company can be so unreliable. I would never recommend Argos's home delivery service and I will NEVER be shopping with Argos again.

Fast track delivery never arrived no email phone call or text !!!!! What a joke phone lines closed appalling This guide and our new Parcel Delivery Rights guide give you all the information you'll need if you encounter delivery troubles, but this can be a complex area. So at a glance, here are our top five need-to-knows on the subject: The biggest protection online is you can send it back if it's late. Unlike in stores, buy goods online and the Consumer Contracts Regulations mean you've 14 days after arrival to change your mind and send them back (though you'll pay postage unless something is faulty). So if your parcel doesn't arrive in time, you've the comfort of knowing you can return it. Give delivery instructions when ordering. Shockingly, we often hear horror stories of firms leaving parcels in wheelie bins, under bushes, in BBQs or behind rear car wheels to be reversed over. So if you may be out, tell the delivery company where to leave it, or ask a neighbour to receive it. Your contract is with the store, not the delivery firm. Unless you paid directly for the delivery, then it's the store that owes you a duty of care. Don't let it fob you off, it's the one you paid - and it chose to sub-contract out delivery. So contact it, be firm, be polite, and ask for a refund (and maybe compensation). More help below. If you take time off work and they don't show, claim compensation. For larger deliveries, if you stay in, taking time off work, then you may be entitled to compensation for your time. This is under the rules of 'consequential loss', but you need to legitimately take extra time off to wait in for the delivery for it to work. We've drafted a template letter to help with any claims... Unless it specifically states a delivery date rights are difficult. By law, delivery only needs to be "within a reasonable time", which is normally up to 30 days. For goods ordered in stores for delivery, unless a store has said it will arrive by a set date, it's tricky. So if you are ordering in a store where possible ensure it states this and make it agree 'time is of the essence'.

Placed an online order with Argos three weeks ago for a divan bed, arranged delivery in a particular time slot, was then booked in for a different time slot when we weren’t available. We had to wait 24 hours before we could rearrange the delivery. We were allocated another suitable time slot and waited home for it. It did not show up in the allocated time slot, and no attempts were made to deliver the item for the full day and we had no communication from Argos as to what was going on. Despite assuring us we would receive the item by the date we told them we needed it, we haven’t and have had to cancel the order and do without. Completely disorganised delivery service. Will never order anything from Argos again.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I was supposed to receive an online delivery order from Argos since last week Thursday. I spent over £1000 and when I called Argos the next day after my delivery was supposed to be received they said it had been delivered this is not true as I was in for the whole day. The supervisor claimed she was calling the delivery company and would call me back in 30 minutes. 6 days later I have received absolutely no call or contact. Every time I call Argos there is either a problem such as "their system has give down" or "the department dealing with my query is on a break" or I AM ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR and then the phone cuts off by itself. I have wasted soooo much credit to get nowhere (I have currently been on hold for 50minutes, so I am expecting the phone to cut off in about 10 minutes). I have sent numerous email and received no response. I don't understand how such a reputable retailer can have such bad customer service. Why they dont hire enough members of staff to deal with their queries, I do not understand. I work in customer services and this is unacceptable. I am beyond furious and wish I had read these reviews beforehand, but I trusted Argos as I always shop in their stores . PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. DO NOR ORDER FROM ARGOS THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR "VALUE YOUR CUSTOM" as they claim. I think I just need to report them to my bank for not delivering products that I have paid for.

On the 9th of October I ordered a double bed and a mattress and was given a delivery slot on the 7th of November, a week before the delivery I went online to check that they were still coming, and found that there was no sign of the mattress. I phoned the customer service helpline which wasn't helpful at all as they didn't believe me that I'd even paid for the mattress, eventually they realised that it was their mistake and I was given a delivery for the 25th of November. On the 25th there was no sign of the delivery so I rung the customer service to be told that there's been another mistake where I won't be able to get the bed until January. I'm truly shocked to be treated like this, they're willing to take money from your bank account straight away but not willing on giving you the product you have paid for! I've always shopped at argos, however, this is the first time I've ordered something for delivery and it definately will be the last time I buy anything from the company. WELL AND TRULY DISAPPOINTED!!

Well what can I say only I'm sorry I ordered any large item with Argos. I ordered a mattress to be delivered on Monday 23rd Nov 15. I waited in all day as they said delivery between 12-6pm. I received a phone call from a lady called Simone who said unfortunately my mattresses will not be delivered today as the driver had worked over his legal driving hours??.. I asked when they would be coming with my mattresses as it was really bad to let me know at 6:40pm after I had waited in for them the day and hours they said they would come, their response was they would call me back in the morning with another delivery date. I waited for a phone call all day until it got too late so I called them to ask when they would deliver my mattress they said it had already been arrranged between 12-6pm on Friday 27th Nov 15, but this had not been arranged by me as we are all out at work that day??.. "I cannot believe Argos made up a date to deliver my item without contacting me beforehand? They then said they would call me back that evening to arrange another date that was convenient for me?..I did never received another call from them so once again I tried calling them and was put in a queuing system for 1hour 45mins. I am now without my mattresses and they have taken the money Inc delivery costs from me. I just want my money back now as I have been given false information and they have robbed my money. I have no other choice but to get in touch with consumer rights to try and get my money back. Please think before you order any items for delivery from Argos they are liers and cheats!! I'm never using this company again.

Ordered a mattress, given delivery date and time, Tues 24th Nov 10.00 to 2.00pm waited, received a call 11.00am "will arrive before 2.30pm", didn't arrive, 2.45pm placed a call to determine delay OH! we're 3 hours behind sorry, confirmed delivery at 5.00pm to 6.00pm, went out to ok time off with boss, got home 4.30pm, been and gone "delivery failed", next delivery 2nd December, your joking!!! what a waste of space this company are, cancelled order told them to shove it, OH! It will be 5 days before you get your refund??, # I advise if want something for Christmas steer clear of these clowns they couldn't deliver snow in a blizzard!! Happy Christmas everyone.

I will never buy anything from Argos again. I usually buy Christmas presents and vouchers for family and friends, but after a recent experience will never again. I sent back a scratched mirror on 4 September and am still waiting for a refund. After numerous emails and phone calls still nothing. They are now ignoring any questions to them regarding this. When I have phoned each time they click click on the keyboard and tell me it has gone through, but it has not gone onto my account. Please please be aware they take your money but DO NOT wNt to refund it.

Really an awful customer service. I do not even know how they are still in business. I bought a hoover, it was not available so I had to wait for it to be delivered to store after 3 days. I collected it went home(mind you I have to walk 15 minutes with a massive box), only to open it and realise that is did not have the correct parts. I called customer services after 50 minutes queue a very rude lady tells me to take it back to store, I asked to speak to a manager she took my number and promised to call back. it has been 5 days and I am still waiting. I called back again and the queue was 20 minutes so I hang up. Can you please SOLVE MY ISSUE? WHO AM I SUPPOSE TO TALK TO? THIS IS REALLY UPSETTING.

Used fast track for the first time today and let's just say it will be the last. So much for get your items as quick as 60 seconds, it took over 5 minutes and the item was damaged, I was told come back tomorrow to which I asked just to have my money refunded, that took another 5+ minutes to find someone that could do the refund! I'm honestly sick of Argos and will do my best to avoid from now on.

I have just been to the Argos shop on Wheatley hall road, Doncaster. After proceeding with a fast track order and having an email and text to confirm that the order is ready to pick up, I went to the store which was clearly very busy due to under staffing. I stood in the FAST TRACK queue for 20 minutes with 15 of them no member of staff there and me wondering if I was in the right place. Eventually when I was served I was then met by a member of staff who pretty much had the attitude of tough and told me that the item wasn't there. I then explained that I had confirmation to which she just said there is a glitch in the system and nothing there can be done about it. After traveling nearly ten miles to pick this item up and waiting for the time I have I feel it is very poor service from Argos
