Embarrassing I ordered an expensive item that should have arrived the day after at the time established. It never happened. At 10pm I received a mail and a text saying that the delivery was not possible. The day after I called the costumer service asking what happened and if we could reschedule the delivery. I find out that my order was completely cancelled without my permission and I should re order it again by phone or via web. They also told me that they would refund me in 5 working days. This is happened one week ago, and still my money are not back.

Everything went wrong!! Worst customer service ever received!! Called customer service and were put through to the the most rudest advisors twice! Product broke within 30 days of purchasing, went to the store to get a replacement, was told to ring the company as that was their policy, company said that it would be fine to exchange and that Argos should of done so, returned to Argos and was told that we needed a reference to state this manager would not exchange due to 30 day period ending no other alternative but to return home and get a reference number again, when called Argos customer services to complain, would not be put through to a manager and advisor was very rude and had no customer service skills at all, was very obnoxious and disrespectful! Rang product company to get a reference and told them the experience we received they informed us that the reference had no value, we will not be using Argos ever again and would advise anyone to avoid this company through the service we received

I went into Tamworth branch today and bought a tea for two as a gift after paying I was told you will have to wait upto 2 weeks to activate it. I said this is a Christmas present so I will have a refund and by them something else I was asked for my debit card to do the refund I said as it was a debit card I will have the £30 in cash she said I will get a manager then a person who said she was training manager also said no refunds in cash? I reminded her of the credit consumers act were it states if paid by debit card a cash refund can be done as the money has left the customers bank account I was then told to leave the shop and banned me and said go away I was recording the whole thing on my phone her name was Claire attic I have since made a formal complaint to customer services and am claiming the money back from my bank. All I can say is DO NOT SHOP WITH ARGOS ITS NOT A NICE place And staff are clearly not trained properly. J williams

Having ordered a product on Monday to be delivered that night, I didn't receive it on the Monday or Tuesday. On Wednesday I was told the money would be automatically refunded and I would be contacted that day - got no communication from their customer service team, only an in-store member of staff. I had to then re-order the product, wait two more days for delivery but one week later I've still not got my original refund. Turns out I was never processed so if I hadn't followed it up in-store, I would never have received the refund at all. The staff were useless and disconnected. Can't stress enough how much time I wasted waiting in for the delivery, speaking to incompetent members of staff, waiting around in a store for something to be resolved or (and I still am) waiting for my money to be refunded. If I ever think about returning to Argos to shop it will be with a great deal of trepidation - my loyalty to the store is non-existent, my overall impression of their customer service is poor and I'd say the only reason to shop with that retailer will be based on price, not customer experience.

Hugely disappointing product, followed by equally disappointing service. A serious fault with the handle resulted in a hospital visit for my 8 month old baby. Although still well within the warranty period, Argos's response was to direct me towards the manufacturer, who in turn completely resolved themselves of any responsibility, and directed me back to Argos. I would very strongly dissuade anyone from purchasing this sub-standard buggy. Fobbed off with a 'copy and paste' go away email from the manufacturer. Argos, although sympathetic in their correspondence, refused to remedy the issue and refund or provide an alternative buggy.

I ordered a gift i needed for sunday on Friday as there was an option of next day delivery to arrive on Saturday at an extra cost. I got an email and text confirming their trusty courier (really yodel???) would deliver saturday. I was waiting at home all day on saturday for it not to arrive. When i called on Sunday after 20 mins waiting (at my extra cost ), the chat option was even longer 'ironic they advertise they will get back to you in a flash' i was told it seems it had not left yodel to go to the local depot 'it wont be with you till tomorrow'!!!!! end of story. very very poor service, They could at least had the courtesy on Saturday to get in touch and let me know it was not going to reach me so i had time to make other arrangements

Horrible service!!!! Ordered a sofa and was expecting it on Saturday. Was told it would arrive between 7AM - 9PM so I stayed home ALL day for it to never arrive! They said have to wait ALL day today (sunday) in hope that it might show up. Are they having a laugh?? Definitely not served by Argos or their hopeless currier service YODEL. Furious!

I bought a Lenovo Tab 3 8 tablet in Argos' Black Friday event last week for a supposedly discounted price of £89.99. Just days after the event, the price is now £79.99. I saw that many retailers refused to participate in Black Friday, decrying this as nothing but a con. How right they were, and quite shocking too that one of the UK's biggest retailers would indulge in such a shabby practice. Needless to say, I returned the tablet for a refund and bought another one at the cheaper price.

Everything went wrong,I started by purchasing a fridge freezer, paid for it then decided I wanted the old freezer removed,I contacted live chat( what a complete joke that was) I typed the whole story in to someone who was obviously a half wit and he just put me on to someone else, had to type the whole story in again, then I was told there was no way they could pick up the old freezer at short notice.( even though I had just purchased it on line approx. Four min. Previous to going on live chat. They would ask the delivery people as a favour to pick it up and they said yes.... I paid £368.00 for the fridge but if they picked it up the cost would be £528.00 but that would include my new fridge freezer as well. I politely told them to cancel the oreder and I then emailed argos to confirm cancellation. I was then contacted by phone to ask about cancellation,I went through the story again and I was told under no circumstances could they charge that amount,£14.99 would be the charge and they could do it for me if I didn't cancel the order. I agreed and and said I hope there would be no more mistakes or change of circumstance, they assured me everything would go ahead smoothly. I ordered the fridge on the 28 November and I was told it would take five days for delivery. I then received five identical messages confirming delivery date of 3 December, that was perfect. I then receive s a phone call from the delivery people telling me the earliest date available would be Thursday 8 December would be the earliest for my area. I told them to cancel the order as I was told five days max. I then wrote to argos to express my concerns and to cancel order for myself,at least expecting then to contact me with an apology.... No I got an email saying they have cancelled my order and I will have to wait up to five days to get my money refunded I have been online to AOL who will deliver my new fridge freezer on Monday, the difference between the two services is unbelievable, I will never shop at Argos again,I honestly don't think they have half an idea between all of them,VERY DISSATISFACTION ANS VERY DISSAPOINTED CUSTOMER. Recently bought a washer. On the purchase page it offers "delivery, installation & recycle", but I had to search on another page to get the order number for just recycle and then add to trolley. Many people would not know that they can opt for recycle without installation because it is not offered as a buying option on the purchase page-I feel this is an underhand way of getting more money from the customer. I also feel that another underhand method of getting more money from the customer is charging delivery for the recycle service. I had free delivery offered with the washing machine, but upon checking out the washer, it stated that my purchase had been split in to 2 parts and I was being charged delivery for the recycle service. This is so wrong, there was one delivery & collection required. The recycle was done at the same time as the washer was delivered and as the washer had free delivery with it, this should have covered the recycle service also-I had already paid £15 for this service, but was then forced to pay £7 delivery-shocking rip off. Argos was once the 1st port of call whenever I needed new goods-I will now think twice before using Argos again in the future.

Ordered two toys. Stock showed as collection from store only. As child ill in night I checked stock again in morning and found home delivery was now in stock. Unable to cancel items on hold but ordered and paid for home delivery. Money taken straight away. Delivery day comes and goes with several texts to say they still had the other items on hold in store. In the evening two days after delivery was arranged receive an email from paypal saying I have been given a partial refund. Argos say the computers have crashed can I call in morning. I check the stock in the morning of the toys on hold in store, these are now out of stock. Call Argos to get interrupted by and shouted at by representative at call centre who states repeatedly that he did 'not have the facilities' to check stock. Apparently they only know when something is out of stock when you phone to say you have not received it! To top that I can have half the refund in 5 days then I will get a call from finance who will authorise the remainder to be refunded in a further 5 days. Not a sorry in sight. They do not seem to understand that a simple email saying it's out of stock would have made it possible for me to go to the shop where the other order was being held. Having said that from what I read in other reviews I stood a good chance of driving in paying to park then find that that order too was out of stock. I will not shop at Argos again.

Ordered my item online and paid for it. To collect from store. Was sent text saying the item was their and could be collected. I went the following day. It wasn't there!! Spoke to manager who was most UNHELPFUL. He said item was no longer in stock and so could only offer a refund. I'd made a special journey 45 minutes to get there. I said as I had paid they had entered in to a contract with me to provide the goods but was told yes but subject to availability!! So why did they take my money? Now having to pay £10 more to get from Amazon. Argos have refused to pay the difference even though they are at fault. Will NOT be using Argos again!!

Purchased a Morphy Richards Microwave Sept 2015, no longer works! Local Argos Store gave a MR contact no who said they have nothing to do with the product, I was passed back & fore between Argos & MR 4 times then was told quite bluntly by Argos "customer service" that unless i had extended warranty there wasn't anything that could be done.

I have just used the Ebay drop-off counter at Argos Balham to send some packages. The girl at the counter was absolutely USELESS! It took over 30 minutes. She had no idea of customer service, didn't seem to know how to do her job, and didn't want to ask any of her colleagues to help her. The printer ran out of paper and instead of asking where to find the paper, she spent 10 minutes faffing about. It took for me to ask one of her colleagues for the laborious process to continue. I just hope I haven't got a parking fine whilst all this was going on. I also felt terrible for the enormous queue of people behind me who were also getting more and more irate. Next time I will go to the Post Office.

After ordering some lamps for next day delivery, I waited in as advised, from 12 the next day. Minutes and hours went past with nothing arriving. After a few hours a text came through specifying a more accurate delivery time. Then 3 hours later, 8 minutes after the end of the delivery window Argos texted me to say they can't deliver my order!! They apologised but this doesn't get my time back! Poor service, a waste of time, inconvenient and I'm never going back.
