Reserved a camera, couldn't get there the day I was supposed to, arrived the next day with reservation number to be told it had gone up £50.00. Never will I go there again.

Recently bought a washer. On the purchase page it offers "delivery, installation & recycle", but I had to search on another page to get the order number for just recycle and then add to trolley. Many people would not know that they can opt for recycle without installation because it is not offered as a buying option on the purchase page-I feel this is an underhand way of getting more money from the customer. I also feel that another underhand method of getting more money from the customer is charging delivery for the recycle service. I had free delivery offered with the washing machine, but upon checking out the washer, it stated that my purchase had been split in to 2 parts and I was being charged delivery for the recycle service. This is so wrong, there was one delivery & collection required. The recycle was done at the same time as the washer was delivered and as the washer had free delivery with it, this should have covered the recycle service also-I had already paid £15 for this service, but was then forced to pay £7 delivery-shocking rip off. Argos was once the 1st port of call whenever I needed new goods-I will now think twice before using Argos again in the future.

Ordered two toys. Stock showed as collection from store only. As child ill in night I checked stock again in morning and found home delivery was now in stock. Unable to cancel items on hold but ordered and paid for home delivery. Money taken straight away. Delivery day comes and goes with several texts to say they still had the other items on hold in store. In the evening two days after delivery was arranged receive an email from paypal saying I have been given a partial refund. Argos say the computers have crashed can I call in morning. I check the stock in the morning of the toys on hold in store, these are now out of stock. Call Argos to get interrupted by and shouted at by representative at call centre who states repeatedly that he did 'not have the facilities' to check stock. Apparently they only know when something is out of stock when you phone to say you have not received it! To top that I can have half the refund in 5 days then I will get a call from finance who will authorise the remainder to be refunded in a further 5 days. Not a sorry in sight. They do not seem to understand that a simple email saying it's out of stock would have made it possible for me to go to the shop where the other order was being held. Having said that from what I read in other reviews I stood a good chance of driving in paying to park then find that that order too was out of stock. I will not shop at Argos again.

Ordered my item online and paid for it. To collect from store. Was sent text saying the item was their and could be collected. I went the following day. It wasn't there!! Spoke to manager who was most UNHELPFUL. He said item was no longer in stock and so could only offer a refund. I'd made a special journey 45 minutes to get there. I said as I had paid they had entered in to a contract with me to provide the goods but was told yes but subject to availability!! So why did they take my money? Now having to pay £10 more to get from Amazon. Argos have refused to pay the difference even though they are at fault. Will NOT be using Argos again!!

Purchased a Morphy Richards Microwave Sept 2015, no longer works! Local Argos Store gave a MR contact no who said they have nothing to do with the product, I was passed back & fore between Argos & MR 4 times then was told quite bluntly by Argos "customer service" that unless i had extended warranty there wasn't anything that could be done.

I have just used the Ebay drop-off counter at Argos Balham to send some packages. The girl at the counter was absolutely USELESS! It took over 30 minutes. She had no idea of customer service, didn't seem to know how to do her job, and didn't want to ask any of her colleagues to help her. The printer ran out of paper and instead of asking where to find the paper, she spent 10 minutes faffing about. It took for me to ask one of her colleagues for the laborious process to continue. I just hope I haven't got a parking fine whilst all this was going on. I also felt terrible for the enormous queue of people behind me who were also getting more and more irate. Next time I will go to the Post Office.

After ordering some lamps for next day delivery, I waited in as advised, from 12 the next day. Minutes and hours went past with nothing arriving. After a few hours a text came through specifying a more accurate delivery time. Then 3 hours later, 8 minutes after the end of the delivery window Argos texted me to say they can't deliver my order!! They apologised but this doesn't get my time back! Poor service, a waste of time, inconvenient and I'm never going back.

I ordered an item online that showed in stock and paid for it to be delivered. That evening I got a call from Argos saying it was not in stock and a refund would be given. Not the best of service from a large company, very disappointing at this time of year. Will now have to look for item elsewhere!

Constant issues, I spent a fortune in argos Christmas shopping and have had so many problems without any resolve. The worst customer service I drive a hour to collect my fastttavk delivery and the stock was not even there and nobody cared took 12 days and constant emails for a refund

Very poor service. What is the point of having a fast track service which emails you instantly saying go to store now - if the store give conflicting information about your item being ready and that there is a problem with the website. The queue of people with the same issue said it all at Halesowen. Poor store, poor management who have little customer service experience. Very rude.

Ordered 4 items on fast track. 3 items in store and 1 few days later. Husband was bringing me over and 1 item was for him for xmas so asked to just collect 2 and would pick up the one for him when collecting 4th item. What do they do but bring his present out 1st knowing I wasn't collecting it today so he saw present. Thanks Torquay for spoiling xmas

I bought a google chromecast tv receiver 4 days ago tried to take it back to get a refund yesterday and they wouldn't take the item back so I emailed customer services and the reply I got was that they won't override the shops decision all I did was take the item out of the box and look at it what a disgrace for such a big company so much for their 30 day return policy it stinks

Ordered 2 items online received email order accepted and took my money, an hour later one item cancelled, went 5 miles away to Argos to cancel the other item, quoted their terms and conditions to the Manager Emma, she didn't have a clue and was full of bull, treating custormers second class is not right, 5 days to get my money back, I have reported them to trading standards, won't use them again, rubbish service.

I just tried to order my other half an Xmas present to be told that Argos will not deliver certain products. It's a shame because it's far too large for me to carry alone, I can't ask him to help because it's a surprise and considering the value of the product and the fact it's electrical I wouldn't want to risk having to stop and put it on the ground in case the water damaged it. Incredibly disappointed in Argos for this

I purchased a bracelet for my mum, when I got back to my car, I had another look at it and when I was fastening the clasp it broke, I took it straight back and was given a replacement. I gave my mum her present, which she has worn three times in total, as its only worn occasionally. On the third time of putting it on, the clasp broke, so I took it back to the store in leigh, where I was told, I should have taken out the extra warranty and because I purchased it ten months ago, they wouldn't replace it or repair it and neither give me my money back. They said, it wasn't a fault, even though the first one broke in the same place. I was then told that because it broke when my mum was putting it on, it wasn't covered by the one year warranty. I thought that was the idea... that you have to put it on to wear it!!! Obviously there is a fault with this bracelet or I must be so unlucky to have purchased the only two that had clasps not fit for purpose. Oh, yes and I was then dismissed!!! Being told again, I should have taken out the warranty, I thought it had a year's warranty anyway. I'm sending a letter to your head office....I want my money back!!!
