“I asked for a menu I could look at. The manager told me to use the ever changing display board. It changes so fast that it is not possible to properly read the list of drinks before it changes. I asked again for a menu card. He muttered something and demanded to know what I wanted to drink. His whole manner is that he does not enjoy the job, especially dealing with people. The lady helpers are much better. I paid by card and luckily noticed the manager had over changed me by a pound. If costa had a proper printed menu then it could contain information about the ingredients and additives in its products.... so we can make informed choices which are better for our health.”
“Hottest day of year 30degrees was refused water at costa team valley was told had to buy a drink to obtain water, im a regular here ive used costa daily up and down country for 20+yrs never been refused water till now, is this NEW NATIONAL COSTA/WHITBRED POLICY ??? Their are many health reasons why a customer may require water PLEASE EDUCATE YOUR STAFF this "apparantly" became costa protocol from 20 18 can only presume team valley branch is exempt from national company policy ???”

“If I had the option to rate this place with 0 stars then I would. Myself and another relative both had food poisoning from eating meat at Costa Coffee Stanley Green Retail Park, Cheadle Hulme, a few weeks ago (April 2023) (Vomiting, diarrhoea, body aches and headache.) I'm Type 1 Diabetic and ended up having to stay in hospital due to the fact I couldn't stop vomiting and had diarrhoea; both of which had a massive impact on my blood sugars. I had a high level of ketones in my blood (ketones are life threatening) so I was put onto 2 different drips. Numerous doctors confirmed I had food poisoning from this Costa due to the symptoms and the fact the food I'd eaten here was meat.
After a week of feeling like absolute rubbish, I finally started to feel better. My stomach was still off but I was managing to finally eat small amounts without being sick and having diarrhoea.
Myself and my family won't eat/drink at any Costa Coffee anymore as we've been completely put off from this experience”
“Got a reward saying you have a free drink popcorn Frappe in your Rewards then when you go and try to claim it they tell you need to buy it they tell you it happens to other people turning up to get the embarrassing when everyone is watching you what a joke”
“The costa attached to the next shop in Bangor Gwynedd. Me and my father with type 2 diabetic went in about 6:08 pm on 20th may. As we were taking about what we wanted the lady behind the till (early 50s) interrupted us abruptly and said "sorry you cant have hot food or cold coffee as we are closing in 30 minutes and all of our machines are off" we were both in shock and annoyed with the way she greeted us. My dad explained "well I need something as I am feeling a little faint with type 2 diabetic and 30 minutes is enough time". She then Said sorry we can't do anything for you but take away hot drinks and cold snacks... We were both disgusted with her manners. We understand they wanted to finish but come on there is a way to talk to people and at least show some empathy. She should not be in a customer facing role with this attitude.”

“Awful place, the staff need training in Customer Services, especially the female employee, I purchased a coffee on the 5th of May, the attitude from the female employee regarding me wanting an extra cup, because my takeaway cup was so hot, I couldnât hold it, all I got was a dirty look and she said they are double insulated they are okay, really this is the way to treat a customer !”

I brought this up with Elena the manager and she said that she told her staff not to serve my daughter as apparently she was rude. Give your staff more training to deal with customers if this is how they behave.
