“Sent a package for elderly parents in Philippines. They never got it because DHL held it for all kinds of ridiculous reasons that didn’t make sense (I later talked to a top supervisor who admitted those reasons were not supposed t have stopped them from delivering, but she did come up with a new one). They abandoned it at a warehouse without my knowledge and only told me a few days before it had reached its holding time limit and now I had to give them hundreds of dollars back and personal documents (that would take days to weeks to acquire) to maybe get it back or maybe never in a few weeks. How does that make sense when it was all their doing/errors that caused this? They always point back to the customer saying its their fault. Even if you reach out to them, they won’t help you in any profitable way. I sent that package to help my parents physically and one parent ended up in the ER and might have been prevented if she had had what she needed. DHL is evil. Don’t use. I lost almost a thousand dollars with shipping, contents, and international phone fees dealing with them for 3 months and they didn’t give back one penny. It is a evil organization.”
“Totally untrustworthy. We’re a small farm looking to expand our beef sales. The last two deliveries have been ‘lost’ in the system.
The latest one was due to be collected on Wednesday; the wrong parcel was collected. On Thursday the beef was collected and due to be delivered on Friday. Now, on Saturday, still hasn’t arrived so it will be unsafe now and no one is in the office to trace it. I’ll never, never use DHL again.”
“3 alleged attempts to deliver to a pick up point, knowing I would not be at home I thought this would be easier and safer.. Big mistake. Website when it gets updated, said attempted delivery and card left... I called shop who are open 7 till 11, no DHL been here all week. At the moment, no communication from DHL, if parcel is lost. Stolen or damaged. Asked sender to put a claim in, send out new pack but with a different courier. Incompetence is being kind to this awfull outfit.”
“I had a warranty repair that I had to send to Italy, organised by the manufacturer there. No problem with that. DHL picked it up and off it went. The manufacturer sent the repair back and the problems started. The item was stuck in customs at first, and now is in Leeds being held for ‘shipping related fees’ to be paid. The manufacturer has authorised DHL to charge this to their account, but DHL appear to be inept and a week later still won’t resolve the issues for delivery. One minute they say they are dealing with it, the other they tell me to contact the manufacturer again. Their customer service is useless and if the agent on the chat is being asked questions beyond their intelligence, they just terminate the chat. They refuse to tell me what the problem is as I am not the sender. How the hell am I supposed to contact an Italian company to explain there is a problem with a parcel when I don’t know what the problem is? I am in limbo with my property stuck in a depot. Extremely poor service.”
“Do not send anything from Germany to Spain. My mother sent 2 parcels, both were returned (paying extra) to Germany, while I never received a notification that the parcels had arrived in Spain in order to pick them up.
Calling the customers service, they just told me that they do not leave a note in the mailboxes anymore (!). But when sending the parcel, my mother (84 years old) was NOT asked to supply my phonenumber, so they could send an SMS.
For me, this is fraude.”
“Worst delivery ever. I have written instruction with DHL to leave my package by my door, no signature required. Got a message saying package will be delivered before end of day. At 8:30 pm I got a text saying driver did not leave package because no one was home. 1st - per instructions, package to be left. 2nd - I was home the whole day, no DHL driver came to my door. 3rd - I have a ring camera system that did show no driver came to my door and no DHL truck parked in front of my house. I chose to pick up my package instead of waiting for another failed delivery and was told by the clerk that many similar complaints are being filed. Terrible company, will never use again.”

“I was to receive packages from DHL 3 times, every package was lost. The last package I was suppose to receive from them, I paid for express shipping. Apparently that means “lose the package faster”. It was lost immediately after the package was received by them. It never even made it out of the distribution center it was received at! No customer service. Nothing. I am no longer purchasing any more products from companies that use DHL. I’ll pay more to make sure I actually receive my items.”

My sister sent me a new iPhone 13 pro max she bought in Germany since on the 21/03/22 till today it is no where to be found. Dhl isn't helping either, their lazy customers service agent that works from home kept on saying "give it 1 or 2 day".Guess what today makes it 22days and the package is no where to be found.
Dhl is not a reliable courier, DO NOT USE DHL if you don't want to cry. It is very obvious that they are employing CRIMINALS as workers. This criminals don't care about their life talkless of your package.

“Will not be using them again. Booked a parcel for collection the next day. The confirmation email said I would receive a time window on the morning of collection but received nothing. Waited all day but no collection attempted. Managed to speak to someone after 6 pm but was on hold ages who said collection was attempted at 4.29 pm. No, it wasn't. We are a firm of Solicitors and no-one tried to collect. Said someone would come the next day which they eventually did but could not guarantee the parcel would arrive by 1pm Monday so had to arrange alternative means of delivery. Delivery man also said that he was the usual collection person for this area and had clocked off at 3.30 pm. Very poor service.”

I paid the amount of £ 172.95 for box 6 ( 15 Kg ) by visa debit and directly paid at DHL Express EAST MIDLANDS AIRPORT (EMA), United Kingdom. On 13 March 2022, my parcel arrived at DHL SORT FACILITY Jakarta, Indonesia. I send my parcel to my mother as a gift / only for a personal individual, NOT FOR SALE as since covid pandemic we have not seen each other in real life.
From 14 March 2022 until counting today's date, 30 March 2022, my parcel is still on hold in Indonesia Custom, and as you know that you inform me that I need to pay for Handling Fee ( 2.5% from duty & tax ), Administration Fee, Rent Storage, Tax ( 10% from handling fee+document fee+warehouse ) and also complete documents.
By today's date, 30 March 2022, you want me to confirm to choose the option Return to Origin or Disposal. I already enclosed supporting documents I had, to RETURN TO THE ORIGIN OPTION. I prefer would like to give my parcel to a UK Charity Shops than DISPOSAL/DESTROY.
The Option for Return to Origin, you want me to have a Tax Card but I don't have a tax card. I explained to you that I AM NOT A BUSINESS ONLY A PERSONAL INDIVIDUALLY. I am only a housewife with 4 children and support financially by my husband.
As you know, The information you gave me at DHL Express EMA before I was sending a parcel to Indonesia only explains about providing The Receiver ( my mother ) ID CARD and I did.
You never give me more clear details information for me as the sender as a personal individual to provide a Tax Card. If I know about this, I DON’T SEND PARCEL TO INDONESIA & MAKE A PAYMENT.
Now, DHL EXPRESS INDONESIA informed me based on Indonesia Law No. 10/1995 about Customs, article 43 paragraph 2 and article 65 paragraph 1a and 2, If The Goods have been transferred to Indonesia Custom, DHL / PT Birotika Semesta CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EXPENSES OR BE SUBJECT TO A CLAIM FOR PACKAGE.

“Sent a mothers day present via DHL, posted on Monday 21st and paid for next day delivery. By Wednesday it still hadn't been delivered. No correspondence from DHL. By Friday I phoned them and managed to get through to someone who told me they had lost it!!! They said someone will "have a look for it and get back to you". Its now Tuesday, no parcel, no communication from DHL. I contacted them again and was told it is missing so can I please just file a claim providing all receipts and (this is the icing on the cake) proof of non delivery!!! So my mum has to email them to tell them that they've lost my parcel which they already know as they've admitted it. DREADFUL company, avoid like the plague.”
