We sent a parcel through Parcel monkey using DPD services overseas to our customer of 2 years in Sweden. The customer did not receive a notification about duties to be paid from Parcel Monkey or DPD and the parcel has now been sent back and I am having to pay for the parcel to be returned.
We have also now lost custom as this was the first order placed since we left the EU.
We will never use this company again and if you are thinking about using them please save yourself the hassle!
The customer service is absolutely shocking and it can take days before you can get hold of them. There is no phone number and this just adds to the stress when things are going wrong.

They don't have any responsibility to manage someone's object.

Parcel Money arranged collection of my parcel, then charged me £52.60 on top of the £17.33 I had already paid.
They stated in one email it was 10kg in weight and I declared it was 21kg - both of which incorrect.
Then they tried to say it was 78KG in weight!!
They then said to challenge the costs, I needed to provide pictures of the parcel, with the delivery stickers on, with a measuring tape showing each dimension......after they had picked it up and delivered it!
With all of this, the parcel was also delivered late.

Lost a package after 3 months of it being passed around the world. Never got any help in making a claim. Package had an item worth over $500 in it.”
“PLEASE. PLEASE. Do not use this company. I sent a parcel to China 36 days ago. The parcel was supposed to arrive at the receiving party within 10 - 16 days of shipment. Here we are at 36 days. I get no response when I EMail Parcel Monkey and inquire on the status of the parcel. They don't even have a published EMail address nor phone number.
Luckily I paid through PayPal and I found Parcel Monkey's EMail address there. I filed a claim through Paypal and I will receive my money back. I will also post on Facebook and Twitter to never ever use this company. Please pass the word around so no one gets burned. Thank you.”
“Avoid Parcel monkey as they are a rip off merchants and don't care about the customer with zero customer support. They are only a middle agent for other parcel delivery companies and once they get your money that will be the end of their commitments to the customer if anything goes wrong with your parcel. They shouldn't be in business.”
“Do NOT use parcel monkey for delivery. In my experience they are a frustrating, ineffective, client-careless company. They acted in breach of their own terms and conditions resulting in the Christmas parcel I'd sent to my family being destroyed on 29th December without the 72hours notice I was entitled to retrieve and salvage it. I had to seek out information through the courier myself because Parcel monkey left me waiting from 24th December until late February with 'no updates from the courier'. I told them what I'd found out independently, then suddenly they sent the same information. Untrustworthy and callous. My case has still not been resolved. I've given one star because though apparently powerless to properly help, at times, the client service operatives seemed to have some empathy”

“The absolute worst experience I've ever had. I've booked the Parcel Force International service, which was advertised as 4-5 days delivery (to the EU). The parcel was collected from the post office on the 15th -- it is now the 5th of February and the parcel still hasn't been delivered. The tracking hasn't been updated in 2+ weeks.
I've reached out to Parcel Force on numerous occasions but they refused to provide any information as the service was booked through Parcel Monkey.
Parcel Monkey has failed to provide ANY help, ANY indication of where the parcel is etc. I've contacted them 4 times in the space of 2 weeks, and every time they advised me to WAIT and 'KEEP AN EYE ON THE TRACKING'. Like, WHAT? 3+ weeks have elapsed since this parcel was collected and it still hasn't been delivered, and you keep telling me to wait and check the tracking???!! They also kept insisting that both Brexit and COVID were causing delays, but 3+ weeks is no longer considered a delay -- it's an OUTRAGE. Not in their opinion, though, hence they refused to investigate with Parcel Force.
Since the service I paid for (£30+) was NOT provided, I've requested my money back. Their reply was another apology -- nothing else. No assurance that they're looking into it or anything like that. They've said they've reached out to PF, but given their lacklustre replies I suspect they never bothered to. Otherwise they'd have been able to tell me where the parcel was/is or if it's been lost etc.
AVOID booking delivery through Parcel Monkey AT ALL COSTS. Their customer service is APPALING, OUTRAGEOUS AND RATHER RUDE.
Book through the courier directly, otherwise you may consider your parcel as good as lost from the moment you choose Parcel Monkey!!!”

Item posted 30/12 with parcel force 24. Their website reports this will be next working day, that said I expected it may be 02/01 although 31/12 is a working day. Item got lost then didn't arrive until 06/01. Given I paid a premium for this service and it was not sold as described, naturally, I wanted a refund, I would have received a better service elsewhere and not had the stress of worrying about losing an important parcel. Parcel monkey have been unhelpful and are selling a service which in their customer responses (*** customer service rep manager) advises the package can take 5 days?! If this is the case it should be advertised as parcel force 'workingweek' and sold as such. I have requested refund from parcelmonkey to no avail. Parcel force will not refund as parcelmonkey took my money not them, which I get. Had I have booked direct with parcel force I would have got 50% refund, Service not sold as advertised. PayPal refunded the full amount a month later after I raised a case with them. Otherwise would have been small claims court out of principle. Parcel monkey should not attempt to defraud customers of their consumer rights by using their t's and c's. Won't use again. Steer Clear”
“The courier damaged and lost items from my delivery in a 24hr timeframe. Parcel monkey then made me jump through excessive hoops to make a claim. It took them two weeks from the incident to even send me a claim form. They have also charged me an overweight fee claiming that my 3kg parcel was 67kg, I have repeatedly asked them for evidence of this which they obviously do not have as this is untrue so they have ignored these requests. The package was collected by one delivery driver and, unless he was the hulk, it is obvious that my parcel was not 67kg. They have refused to refund the fee despite comment sense making it clear that it is erroneous. Depending on the results of my claim, I am looking into filing with small claims court”
“I wish I had an option to give ZERO! Used them before and all went well, so used them again...what a mistake!! Paid for a 3 day delivery and a month and a half later it’s still an ongoing battle! Customer service is almost non existent, you get promised they would get back to you which never happens. The list goes on! Avoid as far as possible! They take their time to reply!”
“Parcel Monkey are not the 'best service and delivery rates' available. Learn from my stupidity, do not believe their sales pitch. Check direct with the couriers or Royal Mail for prices. And I am absolutely certain you will get a better service elsewhere.
Beware of they're purposely vague descriptions of items that are prohibited for postage. The item (a rechargeable toothbrush - specifically purchased for travel as rechargeable with USB) was deemed a prohibited item. Checking with other companies, it was not prohibited, but did require particular labelling. This wasn't in any advice from Parcel Monkey. However, they happily took my money and my item. Better still, demanded return postage or have the £150 item destroyed. So £50 postage for a 1.2kg 24 x 15 x 10 cm box in total - to go from my UK address to Southampton and return.
Customer services is hopeless. There is no phone line. Only a bot or email. When you get a reply they are seriously no more than two to three hard line replies. Judging by other reviews. I am lucky. I got my item back but I donated £50 to Parcel Monkey but I'm not sure what for?”
“Don’t use them- they have denied my international collection, they don’t even know who was collected the item but it was collected by DHL international parcel collection. Customer service are unhelpful they rather avoiding the issue. I have no idea who to contact to complain.”
“I cannot stress enough how terrible the customer service has been for me and my mother who sent the parcel. Absolutely no help, on live chat they just copy and paste the same message over and over even though I asked for an explanation as they kept asking me for a business invoice. Even though my mum was simply trying to send my niece the only picture we have of her dead mother. Now it seems the parcel has been lost. Who knows? As all they keep asking me for is an invoice, delivery note etc.
The parcel was sent on the 17th of December 2020. It is now the 16th of January 2021. I still don't have an update and my family is beside themselves.
USE ANYONE ELSE BUT PARCEL MONKEY.

“Total scam, driver was put out because he had to print a label for me (a service which I had paid for) so I have just received an additional invoice for weighing the item incorrectly. A single ring in a matchbox weighing 0.16kg has been reassigned as weighed by driver at 8.00kg therefore my card will be charge the extra.
What started as a internal UK package with no insurance cost £1.75 actual cost £12.87
Never again! No option to call them and live chat is an automated bot who doesn't read what you have typed. A second parcel was dumped on the street and couldn't be found by the company delivered to. The sign for name didn't exist.”
