I bought and booked a seminar recently on "understanding your digital slr" to be held at their London offices in Euston. When I arrived at the venue, my suspicions were immediately aroused as the Assistant seemed unaware that the seminar was taking place until I showed my print out of the booking. He then made some enquiries on the phone and asked me to take a seat in the waiting area where shortly afterwards I was joined by another person who was also attending the seminar. Ten minutes after the scheduled commencement time another employee approached us and said that the instructor had been delayed by transport problems and had therefore cancelled the seminar-- they had been unable to find a replacement. He took our details and said that our course fee would be fully reimbursed and that an alternative date would be arranged at no cost. It has now been nearly one and a half weeks and I have heard nothing further since. In the circumstances I am unable to rate this as anything but very poor. If they do provide an alternative date at no cost as promised, I will revise my opinion.

Order W-00015829-UK The Item which i understood was not in stock and i would have to wait when i placed my order. I contacted yourselves with the following e-mail:Hello I placed an order for the following item item: Tamrac 5608 Pro 8 Camera Bag – Black, order number W-00015829-UK, Date of order 21/July/2014 I understood that the item was not in stock and orders were being taken, and contacted yourselves on 28/July/2014 by e-mail asking for an estimated date of delivery? I received the following reply on 28/July/2014 : Hi Kevin, Thank you for your order. The Tamrac 5608 Pro 8 Black Bag is due into stock at the beginning of next week. Kind regards Kim I checked the website to look at the status on Wednesday and it still sat at progressing? I contacted your customer service by phone and spoke to one of your representatives called Kelly, she took my details and rang me back in the afternoon to say it would be dispatched today Friday 8/August/2014? I have checked the status again and it is still sat at progressing? I have rang and have been told it is being picked and will be with me tomorrow? I am a bit disappointed in the service I have received from your company, I fully understood that I would have to wait as you were not holding stock, I am disappointed in the communication, if I were to be kept updated then I would of been more than happy, but when I have had to e-mail and ring to find out the status of the item then you have failed to inspire me as a customer. Hopefully I will receive my item tomorrow? being Saturday 9th August 2014. Never arrived. It did arrive on Monday 11th August 2014.

My purchase from Calumet was some time ago. I did visit the Belfast shop in lateJune/early July with a view to buying a camera bag. The one which I thought may have been suitable was not in stock but the member of staff with whom I was speaking offered to contact me when it was (and took a note of my email address). I'm still waiting. In the meantime I have used an online retailer whose staff were more than happy to discuss my needs and supply a solution. Extremely disappointed with Calumet's 'customer service'.

I found the communication from Colin hayward london store manager first class and could not fault the service i recieved from him personally. But your delivery systems need looked at. And the incompetent employees need a little help understanding instructions. My camera went out for delivery from your warehouse and ended up at colins store instead of coming direct to me. Then it was sent out from thier store on the tuesday and it never turned up with me till the thursday, 1 week after its release, 1 of colins staff addressed it wrong thats why it took longer. Not good for customer satisfaction. I dont understand why your company cannot sent items out same day for next day delivery. As an example, 1 of your major competitors, Wex Photographic, has no problem with next day delivery with items ordered before 6pm. I think you need to look into this further. Unless your delivery system has a drastic improvement i will certainly think twice about using your company again if i need things fast. I will be telling other camera clubs and members about the poor delivery times and will not recommend your company to other members. Worst delivery shambles i have ever experienced for such a large company its a disgrace and who ever is in charge should be ashamed.

I bought a printer and sundries for nearly £1,000 Terrible customer service. Bought a product that appeared not to work. Made multiple phone calls trying to get help to sort the problem. Each time I was told someone would call back, they never did. Eventually I said I was sending it back and they said I couldn't as it was outside the 14 day returns period. I pointed out that it was only because they had failed to call me back each day that I called to try and resolve the issue. In the end I put the printer in a cab back to them. I've not heard back. These people are a rip off. Avoid like the plague.

I thought I had bought a 20mm nikon lens via eBay. I received a 85mm lens. I have had an email regarding tracing the mix up but nothing solid as yet. Not best pleased. It has has been over a week with no info as to the where abouts of my lens.

I have been very disappointed with the level of service from Calumet after I ordered a Genesis GF-400 Kit. I called to check the kit was in stock which it was then I placed the order online. I was then told several days later that the kit was out of stock. Every time I called to check when it would be back in stock I was told it would be 2 to 3 days. It is now 4 weeks later and I still haven't received the full kit and I don't have a genuine forecast as to when I will get it.

I ordered an item "On back order" at the start of March and my payment was taken immediately. From then on I received no communication indicating when i could expect to receive my product. Every month or so I called and was told that there was no news. After waiting 4 months I gave up and ordered something else. The guy who took my call said I would be offered a discount for waiting so long but then said he could not offer a discount on the replacement item. Very poor service.

I ordered a pair of lights on 6th June, phoned a week later to ask when they would b in stock. Told they would be in the following week. Visited the shop (Drummond St) the following week and enquired as to the delivery time, told the week after that. Phoned up yesterday and told they would not be in until the beginning of August. Disappointed that I've been given false information twice, disappointed I have had to enquire each time as to where the lights are and disappointed most of all that the lights will be with me two months after I ordered them. Please let me know what is being/will be done about this.

I would never recommend this shop. I have ordered an item and I was informed that it will take no longer than 2 weeks to collect it. After 2 weeks without any information after my call to them I was informed that it will take another 2 weeks. So 1 month of waiting for a camera. Very unprofessional. Now I am awaiting for a refund. I hope it would not take a month! Never again!

The product had already been opened. The battery was missing. Not something that you expect from a £149 product (Nikon Pocket Wizard). This is something that never happened when receiving orders from WEX - I will know better for next time. Adrian.

In recent months I have received more diabolical customer care and service ie. I was promise next day delivery for a filter pack I needed for the weekend, they did not arrive, I had to cancelled the order, but they still sent them on the Monday. On another order I purchase a wacom tablet, this time I was promise a replacement with out any problem for the box was damage. I took the tablet back for I was having some problems with it, I was offered a repair. Another long line of hope less care, I have received from your company over the years.

The item I ordered took too long to reach me (nearly 2 months) and it will be returned ASAP as I found exactly the same product at two thirds of the price elsewhere and it was delivered within 5 days of ordering it!

Invoice number 3432758: This order was made on 24.03.14. and I am still waiting for it to be completed TWENTY-NINE days later though I was told I would receive it in 7 - 10 days.

Having purchased some expensive camera equipment, I decided to take out an extended warranty. This was for a camera and kit lens worth £2150. When the warranty arrived, it was for camera equipment worth less than $3000. This is equivalent to about £1900. I queried this via the Calumet website and had no reply. I resent the query after ten days and still had no reply. I then wrote to the company that supplied the extended warranty and they replied within twenty-four hours, explaining that the value of the equipment is the cost of the equipment before VAT is applied. Therefore I had been supplied with the appropriate warranty. I then wrote to the managing director of Calumet complaining about the lack of response to the queries I had sent to Calumet earlier on. After about ten days I received a voucher for £5.00. There was no covering letter with this voucher; clearly Calumet is not very good at communicating with its customers. I can only assume that this voucher is connected to the letter I sent to the managing director of Calumet. Unfortunately, this voucher can only be redeemed in person at one of their retail stores. From my address, Calumet should be aware that I do not live anywhere near one of their stores. Therefore this voucher is worth nothing as far as I am concerned. I consider that Calumet could have done a much better job in dealing with the doubts I had in connection with the warranty I purchased from them. It is very unlikely that I will buy anything else from them.

Very poor. My order dated 22 February still has not arrived, and the date now is 24 March and I have made three telephone calls delivery note no 3263017.

I'd forgotten I'd bought the tripod case that arrived last week. This may be because I paid for it in June 2013!
