They do not deserve even one star. If your parcel is important- DON'T USE DPD. If your customers are important DON'T USE DPD. If you want efficiency and reliabilityDON'T USE DPD.. If you want prompt, courtious, efficient and intelligent customer support DON'T USE DPD. If you want good communications DON'T USE DPD. If you want honesty DON'T USE DPD. I have never experienced a company that shows such little respect for their customers they should not - and soon won't be in business with their present practices, DREADFUL COMPANY !

If you value your efficiency and respect your customers DO NOT USE DPD you will open up a floodgate of complaints and lose customers. After my recent experience with their customer services and terribly unreliable 'service' I will NEVER use them again.

Their Customer Service is ridiculous . 40 minutes to get through then greeted by recorded message from Sinead Croke telling people not to get annoyed and that there is no excuse for rudeness. Then what follows is a useless, ignorant and clearly unmotivated department thatseem incapaable of following any logical proceedure whilst they try and defend what is clearly a very flawed proceedure and breakdown of service. They seem unable to find record of parcels that anyone else can track on line from home. They then say the client is at fault. They are extremely rude, unhelpful and confrontational - It is avery strange and flawed approach to 'greet' customers who have waited 40 minutes to get through with instructions about avoiding rudeness followed by their employees being so rude, disinterested and intellectually challenged.... Ask to speak to the next up the ladder and the conversation seems to get more insulting from their stand point. DPD -GET A SYSTEM THAT WORKS. EMPLOY PEOPLE IN YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICES THAT ARE INTERESTED AND CAN DELIVER A SATISACTORY AND HELPFUL OUT COME POLITELY. LOOK AT THEIR SUPPERVISORS ATTITUDE IN WHAT SEEMS TO BE ENDORSING AND ENCOURAGING RUDENESS.....GET ENOUGH STAFF TO DEAL WITH THE MANY COMPLAINTS OF A CLEARLY FAILING SERVICE. MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE OF A CALIBRE THAT DOESN"T ENCOURAGE CONFRONTATION WITH THEIR IGNORANCE. After 40 minutes on the phone getting nowhere with the rudest and most ignorant unhelpful 'customer services' phone centre that I have ever had to deal with, the absolute farce of the opening greeting is all too clear to see. Sinead Croke (if she exists ??!!) should be sacked as the first move for her hypocrisy and her rediculous insight into how customer services should work. Greet customers with a condescending message followed by her staffs ignorance, rudeness, disinterest and confrontation representing a clearly flawed 'service' seems like writing a suicide note to me !! Never again

Terrible and rude customer service in Newcastle. 20 Minutes to get through then 'greeted' by a recording lecturing customers to be polite and that there is no excuse for rudeness !! A company in France had booked in a collection from me and sent me a printed label with all ref numbers on it. I wanted to know when the parcel would be picked up from my house to ensure I was there. I looked up the tracking number on DPD.com tracking and it was identified with the note that the instruction had been sent. Customer services however said that they could not find any record of thsi at all (even though I could on line!!!). The first girl I talked to was useless and kept asking for details that I had already given 3 times (post code..tracking numbers etc) I rand asking when they would collect. After another 20 minutes of searching and not finding record of the order she asked me when they were going to collect it !!!! She was just not listening or understanding my simple request so I asked to speak to a manager. After another long hold a man called Josh came on and just repeated like a parrot what the girl had said which left no resolution at all. He was not terested in identifying that their system had failed or why and he would not give me a contact for anyone who was interested in taking this responsibility. His manner was rude and disinterested. He told me to contact the cllient who had booked it (which I later did and they informed me it was correctly booked and showing on tracking as I had informed customer services). Rudley Josh said there was nothing that DPD could do and he had no further interest or advice for me other than to inform me that as they could not trace the order I was breaching their data protection protocol (an answer that he seemed very proud of). IF THERE IS ANYONE IN A POSITION AT DPD TO BE INTERESTED IN THIS FAILURE AND THE APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE HANDLING BY THEIR CALL CENTRE IN NEWCASTLE THEN I SUGGEST THEY FIND A RECORDING OF THE CONVERSATION - (31ST AUGUST 11.30-12.30 am....To begin the call (eventually after 20 mins getting through) with a recorded condescending message about not being rude to then have to spend another 20 minutes talking to their employees beeing rude, disinterested and very unhelpful would test a Saint !! They have certainly lost a significant amount of work from me as I will not use a company like this again...Their attitude is insulting to the customer. They have no interest at this level in resolving their problems and they seem to have no desire to improve their efficiency or identify their failures in proceedure. To be very rude to customers on top of this is disgraceful

What went right? Still don't have parcel after 3 attempts to find house. They don't get in touch, just repeat the same madness daily of making no actual attempt to deliver and then cancelling it.

Dpd lie to their customers saying they can't find an address and it's ARGOS they then say they will try later and instead you get a email saying you requested a different day,you complain to customer services and they say they'll give you an update and o.mmoonever do. IT is a company that can't be honest that I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

Completely awful. I'm writing this while waiting on the phone for customer service. My delivery was scheduled for 2 days ago. I'm waiting for a laptop - for work so this is urgent. I took the day off work and when they conveniently listed "sorry, your package can't be delivered today" with no way of reaching them for any sort of reason, I had to wait till the following day - when the same crapola happened again. I was livid & still had no way to reach them. I am now on the third day - where my parcel at least got the countdown timer saying "your parcel is number 90 - Dina is your driver and is currently on delivery 39. You should get your parcel in around an hour" Waiting, Waiting, Waiting, Waiting, Waiting, Waiting, Waiting, Waiting! I can't stand this - Dina was late by 10 minutes and the very next time I took my eye off the window to refresh the DPD tracking page, thee page tells me, "sorry, your package can't be delivered today as the driver can't find your address" F's sake - it's a postcode in an East London street - Every GPS in England has my address - how incompetent is this Dina that she can't find a street with GPS - or maybe it's DPD not giving any tools to their drivers. Either way, I'm still 3 days out of work, have to wait for another day (*on a 24 hour turnaround delivery) and I will now have to spend hours registering complaints all over the web for the completely crud service that I have experienced from DPD. I'm going to copy this review to many sites - DON'T USE DPD - UTTER RUBBISH - NO ACCOUNTABILITY AND FALSIFYING DELIVERY STATS. I honestly feel like going out and finding DPD vans & spray painting them with "CRUD SERVICE" so everyone knows.I will never use them again as I can't trust them. There is still no answer on the phone and I believe by their re-directional and obscurantist website that they are purposely avoiding complaints as they can't be reached - unbelievable - they deserve all the verbal trashing I'm about to dish out.

Absolutely shocking company. I have been waiting over two weeks for my parcel every day I get a txt message saying due to your request your parcel delivery date has been changed even though I have never stated this. Every time I phone the company I am on hold for at least 40 min before I get to speak to someone and they simply state as I’m am not there customer they can not tell me anything. A complete Joke of a company avoid at all costs. From now on before I order anything I will check with the company to see who the delivery company is if it’s doc then I will avoid that company. As I am a small house builder I use wholesalers a lot and have already informed this company to notify me once they have terminated business with dpd if they want my business again

filled in your online form stating i was delivering a3 scanner and it was not rejected , so i thought there is know use looking at prohibited items when completing the form and you let me pay £10 insurance. you smashed my scanner and you are saying you will not refund me my £250.00. i am taking this to small claims court if i have to, ( prohibited items should be rejected on your online form ) disgusting

I have yet to receive a parcel on time with this company,it’s literally got to the point that when a company I have ordered from Informs me that my package is on the way with DPD my blood runs cold Truly this company have no idea how to run a delivery service They are abysmal and if I know in advance that a product will be shipped by DPD I now will not order through the company that use them

So here we have a company who are absolutely abysmal, the concept of Sinead Croke telling people not to get annoyed really says it all. The concept of a failed business plan is evident both by her confrontational opening comment, by the fact that it takes over 40 minutes to get through to their "customer service" department and by the fact that the two above statements exist. In the real world where real people live, there is often a situation where a delivery is missed, this can usually be avoided by utilising drivers who care, sadly DPD appear to ignore their feedback, are oblivious to review forums such as this and make no attempt to put it right. For some unknown reason today, my delivery was en route to my local depot, for delivery to my neighbour, then it swerved to a depot 200 miles away. When I called to ask what I could do, I was met with the answer of, as the depot is not in your area, it is not possible to select a drop off point, or a day for the redelivery. I now have to wait until the item appears at my local depot before I can make sensible arrangements as to when it will be redelivered. I could go on and on but, what's the point? DPD scores 1.5 out of 10 572 reviews Trust Pilot - DPD UK scores 4.2 out of 10 from 19,615 reviews on Trust Pilot DPD scores 1.2 out of 985 reviews on reviews,co,uk It will all have been said before. Sort it out or stop playing in a market you clearly cannot compete with.

Worst delivery company. Delivery should have been attended between 14:15-15:15. I took a sick day off to be able to receive my delivery as I am 8 months pregnant and I can’t carry my parcel and they haven’t even tried to deliver it! They asked me to pick it up from their colleaction shop. I am disgusted!!!

I had paid specifically for a Saturday delivery. My parcel never left the depot. The company I purchased from refunded me my delivery charge, and arranged for DPD to deliver the next day (Sunday) On the tracking website my parcel had still not left the depot. It’s not possible to speak to a person when you phone the number. I’ve not had any contact to say a time...

Absolutely useless, full of false promises and cannot stick to one simple job... Delivering a package within the 1 hour slot seems impossible for them.

#dpduk DPD The UK's leading parcel delivery brand.. really ??? You pride yourself in being delivery experts? What a joke ! I've been waiting for my parcel since last Thursday ! It was delayed first on Thursday, then on Friday driver couldn't get access where there was no access needed ! I was lied to by so many advisors that my parcel has been securely locked away over the weekend to be delivered again on Monday to finally find out it has been damaged and sent back to sender. What more, in the same time the parcel went missing !! And no one can tell where it is now, it wasn't a box of chocolate, it was big box of 30 kg 😨 delivery experts?? Please share so we can make as many people as possible aware how DPD is treating their customers !
