Lack of drink choice

ar Customer Relations, I wanted to let you know how disappointed I was in the Edinburgh lounge recently (Wednesday 27th September). I had booked the lounge as a pre holiday treat with my elderly mother and daughter. We arrived just after 4pm and checked in easily. The lounge was frankly, filthy. There was not a cleared table to sit, I finally found a table to the rear of the lounge where I was able to clear the debris away to allow us to sit. The floor was covered in crumbs, food and rubbish as was much of the seating, this was consistent throughout the lounge. It made for an unpleasant start not just to have to clear a table but to have to brush off the seats prior to sitting down. The food on offer was equally as disappointing, the hot dish offerings were congealed and looked less than appetising; the salad bar area looked very tired and was in dire need of a tidy up and replenishment. We ended up just having coffee and staying for only an hour which was not what I had anticipated when making the reservation. Several other customers came in while we there and I noted the disgust and disappointment as they too trawled for a clean area to sit. As we were preparing to leave, a surly member of stuff came and cleared the table, she didn’t make any effort to converse with us or offer any explanation. Disappointed is really an understatement, I think disgusted is more applicable, highly unlikely I would use again or be in a position to recommend. I look forward to your comments.

Terrible quality, terribly cooked dried up choice of hot food that looked and tasted like it had been sat under the heat lamps all day! The chicken had the texture of string and tasted like it had been re-heated in a microwave on numerous occasions - Just dreadful. Makes a well known frozen chains food taste like Michelin star quality. Avoid at all costs.

We arrived at 5.05 and left at 7.10, there were dirty plates and cups where we could sit, these were never cleared at any time during our visit. I asked for a beer ( not lager ) and a brandy, I was told they had no beer and no brandy, they were waiting for a delivery but they would be there the next day, an unbelievable response. I have used this lounge regularly over many years, but this was very disappointing.

The lounge was totally overbooked and we didn't get a seat and there was a very poor selection of food and actually hardly any food put out to eat. People who had also booked and paid were being turned away at the door not long after we arrived and were not allowed entry and told to go away and sort their own refunds out it was totally disgraceful and a total waste of money and I will not be booking to use Aspire again. We went on the 16th September 2017 at about 12.30pm and the lady on the desk was very unhelpful and rude.

We arrived at the lounge and there was a number of people at the reception. We then went to a table only to see a large number of people waiting to be served at the bar which took 20/25 minutes to get served. When going to get some food there was very little, bits of salad, soup had ran out and when replaced it was watery and tasteless and no spoons. A very poor choice of drinks and food. We certainly will not book again in the Aspire.

Couldnt get seats. Had to queue for 25 mins to get a drink. At one point i counted 45 people in the queue. Ipads didnt work in the childrens area. Food was awful...hard bread, plastic ham and cheese. Hot food consisted of Two small bowls of pasta which kept running out. I personally visited the buffet area 3 times and each time the bowls were empty. My wife rang your customer support line twice whilst in the lounge got through to an answer service and still waiting for a return call. Still waiting for a response to our complaint from your online support.

There were a massive number of people in the lounge, good from your point of view but not for your customers. There was no where near enough staff to cope. It took me longer to queue at your bar and get a drink than it took me to get through airport security. One of the main issues was that you had no clean glasses or crockery. So, when hot food or soup was available there were no clean bowls or plates and by the time a few bowls and plates arrived the food was cold. There were no clean cups or mugs to be able to use the self serve coffee machine either. The reason you had no clean glasses or crockery was that it was spread all over the lounge where it had been used but nobody was collecting any of it or cleaning tables ready for your next customers. Toward the end of our time the lounge did quieten down somewhat but his only revealed the tiered and worn state of the furniture. Not a great visit but good business for you at £25 a time.

The lounge was filled to over-capacity. People were being allowed in despite a sign at the entrance that said it was full. There wasn't a seat available for 10 minutes and the tables were not being cleared. When eventually we did get a seat I had to clear my own table. There were queues the full length of the lounge and it was taking 20 minutes to get served at the bar. We didn't bother trying. The food looked to be a disgrace to the extent that we didn't even sample it. It cost effectively £50 for 2 cups of coffee . I wouldn't give one star if zero was an option. I will be seeking a refund. Our experience was totally unacceptable.

Saturday 16th September 2017 - Manchester Airport When we arrived we were told the Lounge had been over booked and they had no seats available. We were asked if we wanted to cancel and put a complaint into Swissport. As an employee for Swissport I was hugely embarrassed, as I had booked this as a birthday surprise for our friends whom were travelling with us. We decided to stay at the Lounge but found the buffet under replenished as it was too busy. I would not book again going off this experience.

We turned in up at 12.30 on sat 23rd Sept to be told the lounge was fully booked and to contact the booking agent as it was there fault. We booked direct? We then told that priority would be given to business class and we would get in. Went back at 2pm and there were letting people in as the had a list. I was told that they wouldn't be doing a list. We got in for 30 mins had a bowl of soup to busy to even queue for a drink. It cost me almost £40 for 2 bowls of soup. Absolutely shocking and no apologies were given or any compensation.

The lounge was over subscribed and the queue for the bar was 15 to 20 people stood at any time, food although replenished ran out each time very quickly, used the lounge for years but never seen it this busy, put me off a re-visit, I do have a photo of queue if you wish to see it

We were not allowed in within our prebooked period because the lounge was full and you had oversold. The staff could only suggest we come back later. I suggested they kept a waiting list as this would be fairer. Why did they not think of this. They have training in how to apologise and keep calm, but not problem solving. Poor.

Delays getting in as overbooked. Food choice poor.No sandwiches only buffet pasta and salads. Long queues for a drink. Appalling badly organised setup. Most staff totally overworked They tried hard to help apart from indifferent female reception ist. I will never use your lounges again. It was a total rip off

We booked the Executive Lounge in Faro International Airport. Arrived at the airport to find that the Lounge was in fact non-existent, yet only found out when arrived at the airport, had our back account debited £50 and we rang Executive Lounges who said that it was taken off the list. Had to ask for refund. Not impressed, in fact, a bad joke.

Due to a spurious claim by KLM that our flight to Nairobi had been cancelled, we could not use the lounge at Schipol as we had to fly through Frankfurt. We were left to fend for ourselves during the time between flights instead of relaxing in a comfortable lounge. As yet, we have not been reimbursed or compensated.
