This is not the first time I've used the lounge and previous encounters have always been good ( the perfect way to start a holiday ). However, on this occasion a number of items were not available ! ( basic items ) After enquiring about re-stocking certain spirits, I was told you were waiting on a delivery, therefore the service you are offering is failing it's duty to deliver. Crisps and nuts were also not available with the same reply when asking for a re-stock. The hot food on offer ( pulled pork ) was actually cold ! This service is run at an Airport where duty free spirits are in healthy supply as would nibbles & snacks be. To be told your stock levels have dried up and you can not replenish certain items is not acceptable.

There is very limited choice of food. Staff were expected to cover many roles and appeared harrased. No selection in seating. Couldn’t find my online booking (paid for) when we arrived so waited ages to get in. There are much better airport lounges and the management of this lounge would do well to visit the competition and implement changes.

I arrived for breakfast, the cooked breakfast items were fine but I thought we were getting pastries? When busy there was only 1 person on the bar so there was a big queue

It was crowded and cramped, not at all what I would have expected. The food on offer was nothing special, but perhaps worst of all was the attitude of the staff at the bar. Quite often one had to stand waiting for someone to appear, as there wasn't one particular person dedicated to staffing the bar. When she did appear, her attitude was unwelcoming; she made one feel as though it was an offence to ask for a drink, and an inconvenience. I requested a glass of red wine - there was insufficient left in the bottle for a full glass, but she didn't open a new bottle. The half full glass was pushed towards me and I had to accept it. I would not recommend this lounge to anyone and will not be using it again as it is very overpriced for what is provided. Wetherspoons offers much better value for money.

Had to wait for food, when it arrived the choice was a disgrace, cold pasta with very little salad. Bottles on optics were empty and we had to ask for replacements. Waited considerable time for tables to be cleaned off, and to top this the furniture looked very tired and dated indeed, this experience has changed our opinion and will return to the No 1 lounge in future visits to Birmingham airport.

Very limited food choice, and even the bar staff couldn't say what grape their white wine was "we just do house white". Lots of young kids even though out of school holidays. I didn't have high expectations but at virtually £30 each it would have been better value to go to one of the restaurants and have a leisurely meal.

Poor selection of food, constantly running out of things - clean cutlery, slimline tonic and clotted cream. The worse thing about this lounge is the rude, unprofessional staff who treated customers like scroungers! I would definitely not recommend this service!

The drinks weren't the same drinks as on the list. When I first went in there was no breakfast for a while, Just a few scraps, 1 hard piece of bacon and sausage left in the bowl. Took ages to get served inbetween drinks as there was hardly ever a person around to serve you.

Half of the loungue was reserved for Singapore airlines? This is unfair! People have paid to go in the aspire loungue so why have you done this?! Plus may I add it was the nicest comfiest chairs which were reserved? Disgraceful! The ‘new’ aspire loungue looks like it’s a make do one the seats are uncomfortable the music was appalling, smooth radio?! And the TVs were used just to play this music so you couldn’t watch any tv at all. To top it all off the loungue looks out just onto the departure loungue?! The one in Birmingham is a lot better looking out onto the runway in Manchester it felt like we had just been shoved in a box. To top it all off we were asked to leave even though our flight had been delayed for 4 hours, by a mouthy woman just shouting surnames at the top of her voice in the middle of the place. No class at all. It took ages to even be recognised that you were stood at the bar and even then the choice of drinks was poor. I will NEVER re visit aspire terminal 2 ever again

I recently visited the Aspire Lounge in Bristol Airport, prior to an early morning flight to Faro. I booked the lounge through my father who works at the Airport, so this correspondence has been forwarded to myself via him. It was only myself who used the lounge and travelled on 01.06.18 (Miss Laura Sellers). I was very disappointed with the lack of service and choice available in the Aspire Lounge. I wanted to make a complaint and raise my concerns on the day. I was unable to do this due to having limited time in the lounge before boarding. There was also only one member of staff on the reception / greeting desk, whom was already very busy assisting other passengers and lounge users. I like to use the lounge for comfort and to relax before travelling. I wanted to take advantage of the there being a hot breakfast served, as had been in the Airport since 4am. To my disappointment the only hot food on offer was beans and burnt bacon. I fail to see how you can call burnt bacon and beans a hot breakfast, especially when there wasn’t anything served to eat it with! For example, there was not even any bread or toast to accompany these breakfast items. If you are going to advertise a hot breakfast available to passengers, who have paid good money to use the lounge, there should at least be exactly that – a full cooked breakfast – not just bacon and beans! The only savoury items left available were some small stale croissants, which I was equally un-impressed with. In the end I had to settle for a cup of tea and a small box of cereal, which had no milk on offer to accompany it. I was left hungry and frustrated before I had even made my way to the aircraft! I would also like to raise the concern that I couldn’t use the toilet facilities in the lounge, because they had no toilet roll in them!! I had to instead use the alternative airport toilet facilities, as no-one was free to ask or tell within the lounge itself. I left the lounge wondering what service I had bothered to pay for! I didn’t get a hot cooked breakfast as advertised, nor could I even use the toilet! I am still very disappointed and expected a lot more from the Aspire Lounge. I use the Airport on a regular basis and am due to fly from Bristol again in October this year, however I am very torn as to whether I shall bother wasting my money on visiting the lounge again prior to my flight. I hope that this feedback can be taken seriously and used to implement changes that will benefit all future lounge users.

1. There was very little choice. Breakfast had almost finished and there was just white bread and hard bacon. No croissants. Little choice for people requiring special menu foods. Lunch was little choice as above and looked unappetizing. Found previously visited Escape lounge in terminal 2 was better. Tables were not very clean as was overall cleanliness.

When we entered the lounge there was nowhere at all to sit and we eventually had to go and ask someone to help us a seat, it was so busy and every time we went up for food there was non left. We had 2 young children with us and the there was no family pods and the TVs didn’t work. We wouldn’t book this again was not worth the money.

The people who checked us in were not friendly , a smile goes a long way. The seating area (the quite area) was dirty! there was used cups , dishes left, food all over the floor/seats & side tables. I HAD to move all the dishes, go over to the cleaning cart, that was without anyone for most of the two & half hours we spent in the lounge , I had to spray and clean the area before my family and I could sit down( Cleaning produces SHOULD NOT be left out when there are children in the lounge!). When the two members of staff did start cleaning, it was a half hearted job. The lady behind the bar looked like she did not want to be there, so no friendly smile ,or even eye contact at times. The only good thing about the lounge is the food/coffee & WC, which was very clean. This was very upsetting as it was a treat for my daughters 50th birthday before her flight(this is the first time she has used an airport lounge). The lounge is not big, the amount of staff in the lounge should be able to keep it clean, its not free!. I will not be using the Bristol lounge again!.

Me and my husband and daughter found that the cutlery, cups and saucers were dirty. The hot breakfast was good although the plates were the size of saucers and when we asked staff for larger plates we were informed that the plates provided were all they had. I am not a big eater but I had to use 3 of the "saucers" to eat 1 slice of bacon 1 sausage some scrambled egg and beans and a roll. This was not satisfactory at all. I expected better.

Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous, and the lounge was clean. However, only one toilet was working, which led to a queue. Also, when I arrived at the lounge it was full and there were no tables left for new guests, although space did become available later on. I had to ask for cutlery as none was available. I had to hunt for the newspaper to read as they were not openly on display or easy to find. Finally, although the alcoholic drinks were free, there was a 'no doubles' policy in operation! I have never before visited an 'executive' lounge that tried to ration the drinks to single measures!

Very disappointed, felt like it was tiny. When we first entered there was nowhere for us to sit down for 20-25 minutes! The food was poor, I was expecting a selection of food but didn’t get that, we got to choose out of 2 things bloody 2!!! The drink selection was also poor, hardly no beers to choose from and the wine was awful. Overall I was very disappointed and couldn’t believe that was £50 for 2! I was hoping to go and use them again for when I next go away soon but I don’t think I would now.

Poor food quality, ended up having to take children out to eat. No draught larger. Staff seemed very uninterested when we asked.

Upon arrival the only spare table had empty glasses, plates and cutlery together with waste food. I asked for this to be cleaned and eventually after asking five times I had to threaten to ask the manager to get involved. I ended up helping the assitant to load things onto her trolley. The service at the bar was slow and it appeared that we were being monitored as to our consumption. Rather than serving me with 3 drinks for myself and two friends we were told that we must queue individually which seemed ridiculous. The service has certainly gone downhill since my last trip a year ago and I shall be unlikely to book again.

No one was at the reception on arrival. The entire lounge was filthy, full of used crockery, food remains etc. Several people were sleeping on the couches, while there were no more seats. We book a lounge to avoid these things. We found a better waiting area outside the lounge.
