I had an almost laughably bad experience with Uber customer service. It almost sounds like a tale of fiction, but I kept my phone in my pocket and it somehow placed an Uber Eats Delivery to my place. Cancelling the order as others have said means NO REFUND. I received a call from customer service and they explained if I wished to cancel the order, I would have to pay the FULL price because that was their policy. The shopper had not even begun the accidental order that was placed. I could understand if the order had actually started or it was delivered already, but to be charged the full price for literally nothing is absurd. In the end, it was only $12 they got from me thankfully. However, it really demonstrated how money grubbing they are as a company. I deleted the app immediately after the conversation. Never again will I use their app and will be using Lyft from now on. I doubt Uber customer service cares at all, which is the sad thing.

I had been using Uber to book taxi rides for a while and Deliveroo to order food. My phone had run out of storage space so I removed the Deliveroo app for the time being. Since you can order food on the Uber app as well I tried to order food delivery with Uber. I had saved my home address on Uber and that was the only address I had saved. I also had the geolocation turned on. I ordered food from a restaurant on Uber and I noticed they didn't ask me to confirm the address like Deliveroo does (or even Uber when you order a taxi). It just placed the order automatically. Straight after confirming the order I was checking at what time it would arrive and I realised Uber had automatically selected a completely random address 6 km away from my home address, an address I have never lived in nor ever visited before. I tried cancelling the order but it was super difficult to find the option. The order was marked as being made so there was yet no driver to contact. At the end I managed to find an option to change the adress but understandably it told me it was too far to be delivered there so my only option was to cancel it and I was changed as the order was being process. From there I tried in any way possible to contact Uber but realised it is almost impossible to contact their customer service. I managed to get in contact with them through Facebook to ask for a refund since this was clearly an app malfunction rather an errorr on my side since it didn't even ask me the delivery address in the first place. They were really rude and condescending to me and told me they could not refund me since I had cancelled the order and the restaurant had already accepted it. I explained them that when I made the order it got automatically accepted by the restaurant (unlike with Uber drive where you have to wait for the driver to accept the order), there was no way for me to cancel it before that and even so it took me just a couple of minutes to cancel it so I doubt the restaurant had already started to prepare the food anyway. I didn't want the restaurant or the driver to waste their time and that's why I cancelled it. It felt I was talking to a bot or something and even though I tried to explain the issue they kept telling me they would not refund me under any circumstance and if I was to send any more replies they would stop replying. They didn't offer any explanation as to why the app selected a completely random address that I never visited before 6 km away from my home without asking for a confirmation even though I had the location turned on and saved my address on the app. I am extremely disappointed with what happened and doing some research online I found out this occasions seem to happen quite often with the Uber app, both for rides and food deliveries. I have stopped using their sevice as thankfully there are many other options available. I would not reccomend this app to anyone since if you were to have any issues there is practically no way of contacting them, and if you manage to get in contact with them they simply gaslight you and offer no useful help.

I paid 10.94 for a ride to my Chemotherapy appt. They said SORRY we gave u a 2.00 uber cash. I dont want that shi*t! I want my full refund back. The lady never showed up and she cancelled the ride BUT still got paid. While I was left at home with no chemo treatment or the money that I spent for the trip! Since u cant contact UBER directly u have to continuously email and hope that they get back with u. So they keep playing this game as if they dont see my ride and telling me its too late. Ive veen contacting them since that same day until now and they are telling me its "TOO LATE"..HOW? It shouldnt be a time frame for someone getting their money back when NOT RECEIVING the service they paid for. Im about to file a LAWSUIT AGAINST UBER FOR PAIN AND SUFFERING! I dont have the energy for them. And Ill NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

I don't know how these people are in business. It's seriously the most horrible customer service I've ever experienced in the level of prehistoric all I don't even know if that was such thing. It's just Cor. left not herd not gotten. Do you wanna laugh with hopeless this summer but actually get to listen and resolve the problem you're dealing with. It's a lot apologies and that's about it throwing a stone in the ocean it's yeah yeah yeah right thanks for calling sorry, sorry sorry apologize I apologize I apologize this is all you here in every sentence no results but your lifetime that you don't get to get it back it's gone to waste. I'm not some of the rides reviews but this is a tipping point where I'm gonna do something about it !!!!

Wish I could give 0 stars. Uber support is not here to help you. They close tickets almost immediately, don't even read the question properly. I'm supposed to be chatting with someone but it seems like I get one response before they close it.

Removed app today. Slavedrivers to their employees. Rude, gaslighting, price gouging their customers. Customer service is a joke; they just lie to you. Cancelled Uber One and removed app altogether today. Good luck with your Saudi creditors!

Terrible canned responses that had nothing to do with my issue, mixed with apologies that felt like patronizing since they clearly did not understand my relatively simple issue. I was in an infinite loop of explaining and getting asked if the issue was resolved, which of course it wasn't. Finally I was told the issue would be escalated and the conversation was ended. I've experienced poor or frustrating support before but this was an entirely different level of incompetence. It's truly shocking and embarrassing a company of this size has the level of customer support it does.

I work for this company and as worker I can tell you it’s the most disgusting company I have ever worked for as a driver we are paid less than minimum wage for our work . If we have an issue on the app Uber support just ignore you . Drivers steal food all time you you have to stand around waiting for witch you don’t get paid for same as when customers take 10 minutes to answer a door we get no extra payment witch means for £2.80 job we are exspected to work 17 minutes for free on top of doing the delivery so we earn £2.80 per 30 minutes if we’re lucky Uber will also send you orders then when you get near the restaurant they will cancel the order on you and you won’t receive any payment . How this company has managed to last this long is beyond me because they don’t care for customers or workers

The dishonesty did it for me. They must read scripts off a screen. If your dishonest to your drivers guarantee your dishonest to the customers. I have reviewed several blogs and sites for reviews and complaints for Uber and non have had more than 2.3 stars. Speaks for itself UBER

Uber sucks. The service specifically. I’ve called three different times and still no help. I was put on hold for a long time, then they hang up. This is the worst riding app to exist and to top it all off, they make it almost impossible to get ahold of the customer service number because they know they won’t do anything to help. Just a bunch of lazy and rude people who shouldn’t be working as customer service if they won’t give any services. Simple as that!

They lied to me TWICE the last few days saying that they will get specialized team to call me back just so I can hung up. I NEVER received a call back and when I called today they said that there is no such thing as specialized team will call back. TERRIBLE company.

The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Every person is useless, will transfer you a million times without informing you first (and they don’t take notes or keep records so you have to explain the issues a million times) and then will lie to you to end the call while doing absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. I’ve contacted customer support probably for 15 different issues and every time it is an absolutely god awful experience with no resolution.
