“PC Specialist have an exceptionally informative website, I especially liked the customisation possibilities and the clever information behind the customisation which informed you if upgrades that you choose are compatible with each other. With this in mind, I would have thought some simple inventory management based on this customisation would allow the choices made to be reserved for an order when making the option choices. In my case delivery was delayed waiting for parts, yet I was permitted to choose upgrades in the customisation screen. Other options were greyed out as unavailable, so the obvious conclusion is the customisation I chose was available. Then to be told it is delayed waiting for parts was disappointing. Seems like a simple extension to the compatibility function to reserve inventory for orders so that target dates can be achieved.”

“PCS has the best customising selections to allow you build your perfect PC. Everything is configurable, right down to selecting the type of thermal paste to be used on the CPU. Despite each machine being made to your specifications their prices are very competitive and their build, testing and dispatch is reasonably quick. You get regular (about every 5 days) updates on the progress of your order.”

“I finally got my dream work/gaming machine. It was built quickly, with constant updates about progress, it was delivered quickly with no issues, and it works flawlessly. Everything is as I ordered. No cutting corners, no knockoff parts, everything is perfect. I couldn't recommend them more.”

“PC Specialist were great. I've ordered two of my PCs from them and they were both excellent quality. I was kept up to date during the build process with weekly updates. The PC was packed very well in a sturdy box and packaging to keep everything safe.”

“Website and ordering: overall a good experience. Creating the PC was fairly simple and the warnings for incompatability were extremely helpful. I would have preferred an option to have the OS installed without a free trial of office included but otherwise. Good. Building the PC and communication: Very good. Built within reasonable time and communicated with regularly, when they said they would. Delivery and Product: Delivered on time. Product works well and am very happy with it. Only issue is the foam packaging was harder to remove than originally thought.”

“Really bad experience. Ordered a specialist workstation PC on 22nd September. Today, 17th November it has still not shipped. I've called the customer support helpline at least twice per week for the last 3 weeks. Almost each time I'm told that the machine is next to be built, or it will definitely be with me by the end of the week. Lies. Once I've lost confidence in what they told me, I've asked to speak to a manager, or someone that can give me a better picture of what is happening. Only to be told that it is a 72hour wait to speak to a team leader, or a 7 day wait to speak to a manager. For a £3000 computer, that is already well beyond the initial quoted delivery timescale, I would expect a lot better communication! I appreciate that there are supply problems - but I expect them to tell me what the problem is, and to work out a solution that works for me - fobbing me off is just not good enough. Next time I'll pay the premium and purchase from Dell / HP.”

“Have been using PC Specialist for a long time and the customer service has always been great. Normally get laptops, though could finally get a tower and I am not disappointed! Great option selection and information if certain parts don't go together/ bed more power etc. Highly recommended and always great using a British company.”

“Build options were about the right level of complexity/choice for me (techy but not PCey). Forum very helpful, and quick, resolving queries, though it was worth querying anything not understood, as in one case a point was overlooked. One issue showed up after delivery: It was ordered sans OS, I installed (transferred) my own, and a tricky issue came up. They could have tried disclaiming it but were very helpful both formal support and forum. Has now been working fine for a whole week. Price good, build/delivery time was as advised. I also bought one from them in 2009. It did destroy 2 graphics cards during its lifetime, the first very early, replaced under warranty, the second, later, failure might have been caused by the thick layer of dust inside. Upgraded RAM and SSD over the years, interface cards came and went, still quick with W10. Finally died in 2020 in incomprehensible (ie unrepairable) fashion, not worth worrying at that age. It was similar level, good photographic spec, not gaming, very standard core M/C, but still its W7-W10 online upgrade would not transfer, it had to be a clean install. Possibly a result of a supplier MS would doubtless regard as obscure. Possibly 4 stars is unfair, I'm prepared to believe the installation problem was entirely my fault. There was however, a little bit of confusing information initially (and the 2009 machine did have its early failure), so not *perfect*.”

“The worst place to buy PC from. Had a horrible experience after getting a PC that had issue. They took it back to repair. Then we kept chasing for over 2 months! all we got were excuses. Different person each time. Finally, they offered a refund. Then even for the refund a new person started communicating and at first said he can't refund and tried to offer credit to buy another item. Then after we gave proof that that's what was agreed. He started to create reasons to deduct amounts for refund. Already communicated 5 times with the refund guy and still waiting for it. They have no sense of damage control. No concept of customer service. No integrity. We are never buying from them again. AVOID THEM !!”
