“First time ordering a PC. Did a little bit of research on what I wanted. The custom build options on PC Specialist are great, and gave a lot more variation in cases and other components than I've found on competitor sites. Eventually settled on a Luna series PC since I liked the all white build option. The build took a little longer than advertised, and was slightly held up by one component being out of stock. However, they were quick to call and tell me they didn't think it would be back in anytime soon, and they swapped the SSD for a slightly better version at no extra cost. There was some fault found in testing, but they seemed to resolve that quickly and sent it out for Saturday delivery. I arranged this with a phone call on Friday and they were good about leaving notes for the courier since I live in a gated building. PC was amazing on arrival. Really well put together and a stunning build. Cable management was a bit messy in the back, which became an issue when I had a fault, but otherwise the only other issue was Onedrive. They'd somehow set up the PC to save my documents and downloads to Onedrive, which meant games were acting weird and sometimes splitting files between Onedrive and my SSD. I had to redownload a couple of games like League of Legends and Sims, and ended up uninstalling Onedrive. 2 weeks in, unfortunately either the corsair lcd liquid cooler pump has broken, or there's an issue with the command core. First person on the phone didn't seem to have much of a clue and instructed me to start pulling plugs from the hard drive, which was completely unrelated. He stopped replying to emails when I asked if he was sure the hard drive was connected to the command core. Second person was a lot better, quickly decided it needed to be repaired by them, and organised a return and repair. Waiting for this now (hopefully not for long). I have organised a slight upgrade to the PC while it is in repairs, which they have slotted into the notes. Overall, really good customer service, minus the one tech guy who wanted me to start pulling out unrelated plugs. Turnaround is a little longer, but you are getting a custom build and it's a popular and trustworthy site. My PC is gorgeous, so happy with the results.”

“Overall, it's been a mixed experience buying my new PC from PC Specialist. I'm very happy with the performance of the PC (now that it works) But there have been some setup issues, and quality control oversights, which I'm not happy about considering the price I paid for this PC. Firstly, I've owned the PC for 10 days, and the GPU (worth £800) is already beginning to "sag" or "bend" because it's installed without any support at the front end of the PC case. Massive oversight, GPU support brackets should be included as standard in all PC builds. Support brackets are so inexpensive it's trivial, PC Specialist should know better. This GPU in particular is very "chunky" and requires support at both ends. It's extremely annoying, it looks ridiculous after just 10 days, and I'm worried that my expensive GPU is going to become damaged (if it isn't already) Secondly, Windows was badly corrupted on arrival, I was unable to update anything at all. I had to do a complete re-install of Windows to rectify the problem. Third, none of the RGB lighting controller programs were installed on arrival, and the RGB lighting cannot be controlled by a single program, you need at least 2 separate programs (Corsair iCUE & ASUS Armoury Crate) to get the RGB lighting to match up. Both programs had to be downloaded manually, nothing was pre-installed. The dust filters on the PC case were also fitted incorrectly. After owning the PC for just 7 days I had to disassemble the whole case myself to install the dust filters correctly. And lastly, this PC case (Corsair 280X) doesn't have any exhaust fans fitted, and there's no option to have them fitted, despite there being space for 2 exhaust fans. Again this is a huge oversight, as the PC case suffers badly from trapped heat. Good stuff: The PC is extremely powerful, it plays 4K games at 120+ FPS without breaking a sweat. Now that I have rectified most of the problems myself, it's a good PC and I'll be keeping it for a long time. In my opinion, my build was "rushed" by PC Specialist because I selected the "3-day fast track" option, several things were missed or overlooked to get my build out of the door on time. I would have preferred a delay to make sure it was built properly, rather than spending 10 days rectifying problems myself. I didn't pay extra for a "rush job".”

“Having ordered from PC Specialist before, I knew they provided great customer service and quality products, hence I wanted to order my son's birthday gift from them. I fast tracked the order to 5 days which was fulfilled, however, I was called halfway through by their customer services to change the case to a more expensive one as the components wouldn't fit in the chosen one. This, despite the online configuration tool not picking this up, plus I had to pay the difference! Also, I was sent a 360 degree image of the PC during building, but found the CPU fans were not in the requested place. They were not changed after another phone call, which ended up being fine, but there was no feedback from the engineer to say it was better or more compatible in their current position. On arrival the PC didn't load into Windows properly the first time, then we were greeted by the engineer's diagnostic tool software, all over the desktop. On 2nd boot up, we managed to register my son as the sole user, but there was a more pressing issue...the RGB lighting. The Corsair RGB fans aren't even detected by iCue and instead Asus armoury crate has detected them. Whilst we can select their colour, every so often during use, they flash a bright bluish white which is incredibly distracting. My son now uses the PC with most of the LEDs switched off, which kind of defeats the purpose.”

“Great website, easy to design the PC build and useful advice and tips such as recommended PSU wattage. After ordering, the order was in processing and pre-production stages for a couple of weeks without much update (my only negative from the experience). Once the build started, it was quite quick to be built, dispatched and arrive. The PC itself meets every expectation I had, very happy with it, would definitely recommend.”

“This is my 3rd computer from PC Specialist, 2 laptops and one Tower over 5 years. The products have all been fantastic, the oldest laptop is still playing recent games fine. The configuration process for the gaming tower was brilliant, it lets you know which components are and are not compatible. We did have to get one out of warranty repair, and the process there was really good. The deliveries happen when they say they will, you can track on the website or via DPD.”
