“Originally I sent in a claim which was denied, but upon appeal, Pet's Best reversed their decision in my favor. I was very pleased, but the process took almost six months. I submitted my claim in September and it was resolved yesterday (2/25/21). I was not pleased with the delay and process.”

“The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is the claim remained on received until the very end. It would be better if they could keep you updated on the process. This the first claim I’ve filed so I was how it was progressing.”

“My dog recently needed an operation to remove a lump from his jaw. I was able to submit the vet's quotation before the procedure for pre-approval. Despite my reservations the approval process was very quick with no issues as I thought there could be some dispute on the claim. We even had to change vets and get a secondary quote (lost trust in the prior vet) and, again, Pets Best pre-approved the new claim very quickly without issue. Once the procedure was over, my submitted claim was processed and refunded in a couple of days with no complications. Over, despite my concerns, the whole process from pre-approval to final repayment was quick, painless and without issue and was very pleased with Pets Best in this regard.”

“Overall, I have had a really great experience with Pet's Best. I have tried other pet insurance companies in the past, and Pets Best has stood out with the best coverage and tools in my opinion. My monthly coverage is a little expensive, but it has proved to be well worth the price as my dog is aging and developing more health conditions. Sometimes it takes a very long time to have a claim processed, but I have noticed that claim processing times recently have significantly improved. Customer service has been a little bit hit or miss. I had one issue that I was told would be followed up on, and never was, so that was a little disappointing, but the majority of the time when I reach out, I get an answer. I would definitely recommend Pets Best to anyone who is looking for pet insurance. It has helped me give my dog the best quality of life I possibly can.”

“My first claim has been great! I took my dog to the vet (I pay extra for the wellness care) and submitted my claim. The submission process is super easy! It took about a week for them to review my claim, but it was approved, and I just received the payment!”

“Pets Best is good for illness, wellness, and medications. Coverage for parasite prevention and dental cleanings is poor. Premiums become prohibitive as my pet ages. Insurance for my 11 year old dog costs more than my own health insurance, car insurance, malpractice insurance, homeowners insurance. I'm an idiot to keep it but am ambivalent about letting it go. The company is very responsive, prompt, but a bit slower during covid. Claims process is easy.”

“My claim for Simparica should have been covered by my Best Wellness policy under flea/tick & heart worm. The claim reviewers did not include my heart worm benefit. However, when I called, the representative took care of the matter immediately. The wait time was about 15-20 minutes, but the phone representative was Excellent!!!”

“Pets best has been great. The only reason I have it a 4 stars is because it took so long to get the refund. Sometimes over a month. They have been so much faster the last claims I have put in and I have a lot so I hope the reimbursement of claim compensation continues to be fast. Thank you”

“I go to a fairly expensive vet, so the reimbursements don’t come close to covering the wellness visits. BUT I can say that they are very responsive and make it very easy to submit claims and receive reimbursements quickly.”

“Pets Best Pet Health Insurance has been really good so far however there are a few issues that if fixed would definitely better the experience. It does take a minimum of 2-3 weeks to process a claim which is fairly frustrating and I have experienced REALLY long wait times when I call the customer service line. If they could somehow expedite claims and reduce the wait time for the customer service line it would be a five-star experience.”
