“Telkom is the slowest network ive ever used, yes they have affordable deals but their network is slow.... I opened buy trades in my trading account and my network was lost it recovered after a whole hour and my account was blown”
“If it was possible to give a rating with zero stars, I would. Fibre coverage is erratic and unreliable. Slow internet speeds regardless of what option you took for your contract. The contract price is unilaterally increased by Telkom every few months. The call center is useless and keeps redirecting you to other departments until you give up out of frustration. They also make it impossible for you to give notice of termination or cancelation after the fixed contract period ends.”
“The billing system is wrong they double charged me then I decided not to pay the following month so they suspended my contract before even the month end but this month they double charged again and they haven't open my account they says it was collected by debtors as if I have been not paying for months 🙄😡”

“Absolutely horrific customer service! On Sunday my dads device was stolen, he visited the branch to ensure the device is blacklisted and to perform a sim swop, the first consultant was not helpful at all however the second helped with the swop. The device was still not blacklisted at this point and i found this via the find my device feature on monday as there was another simcard in the phone. My dad frantic had then obviously needed to sort out important information such as banking apps etc. I live in a different province and was doing all i could to help him, i then called the customer care line and asked them to blacklist the phone as we feared for the information which was on the phone! and they were of absolutely zero assistance, there is more admin to blacklist a device then there is to take a new contract. i had emailed telkom and to date have not received a response. The customer care is absolutely horrid, they are quick to call you for upgrades but display no qualities of ethics or humanity. In this situation there is already so much of stress especially because in the current world we store majority of our lives on the devices so you are quit stressed about all the information on your device already and then you do the normal thing of visiting the branch and absolutely nothing is done, the customer care will tell you to call them, how is this possible if your device is stolen ? they also say you can blacklist the device yourself ! If this was the case do you think anyone would be running around ? The experience was absolutely horrible and it is evident that telkom does not care about their customers and only cares about their own revenue once the device is collected forget about getting any assistance ! Whats even more concerning is that they have not even bothered to reach out yet if i go to apply for a contract i will get an immediate call ? Quite dissappointing considering we have had numerous contracts with telkom for many years!”
“Telkom's internet service, advertised with an initial speed of 10MB/s for the first 250GB, 4MB/s for the subsequent 50GB, and a consistent 2MB/s thereafter, falls short of its promises. In practice, the initial 10MB/s is only delivering about 1.5Mb/s, the 4MB/s tier peaks at merely 500kb/s, and the supposed uncapped 2MB/s struggles to maintain 300kb/s at best. This significant discrepancy between advertised and actual performance undermines user trust and suggests a need for urgent technical review and service transparency.”

They very quick to deduct your bill monthly but the minute you need assistance its non-existent
My husband has been paying our phone bill monthly - telkom doesnt deduct the money he physically goes in and deposits the money due as we know telkom will add an additional amount for late payments as if we were at fault
Last week he starts receiving messages from the service provider stating they are handing him over to nudebt we physically went in to telkom to find out what the issue is the rep assisted us and assured us that all is well and their system is the problem today he is invoiced with double the amount and a penalty fee
He tried phoning guess what no answer he tried phoning the debt collector which telkom now supposedly handed him over to with no luck either eventually got hold of someone to assist him just for them to tell him a consultant will call him back its now 3 hours later
This is by far the worst service
I would not advise anyone to use this provider ever”
“I don’t get quality network I deserve with Telkom, I’ve been a loyal customer for years now and everyday I still have to deal with bad network. I literally have to switch my data mode on and off for it to connect or get some service. This is really bad for when I have emergencies. I’ve had some cases when I needed to contact family members urgently but my calls did not go through because of my network and poor service. Also I think Telkom can give some loyal clients more special deals who are not able to affors Wi-Fi etc.”

“am highly disappointed with Telkom. On Tuesday, I called them to blacklist my phone, only to find out that it was not fully blacklisted. Then, on Wednesday, I went to their branch at Kayalami, and when we tried to call them, the lady I was speaking to closed the line. Later, when I went home, I found out that my own phone is not registered under my name, and my sister needed to call, which was a shock. On Thursday, when my sister called in the morning, she was informed that I am the account holder. At this point, the 48 hours for reporting my phone have elapsed, and the worst part is that I don't have an ITC number, as I was told it would take another 24 hours to obtain it. Can I kindly ask as your customer, is this fair?”

Arrogant consultants sitting behind laptops treated me like I am a nobody.
I will be canceling my month to month contact and take out one with MTN who offers friendly and amazing customer service.
I will expose Telkom to everyone and not encourage them to take out any telkom deals. I gave 1 star as it gave me no option but I would have preferred to give zero times 10.

“I am extremely disappointed with Telkom's service. I applied for fiber service 40 days ago and still do not have an active account. Despite numerous emails and phone calls, they only delivered the modem three days ago. However, the connection is still not active because they have yet to activate the account. Abiut 2 weeks ago I was told that stock is available and will be delivered in 7 - 14 working days. Today I'm told that they still have to order the device. I have even lost any hope that I will ever get my device.”
