“I have cancelled my contract with Telkom because of their poor services. Last month I was debited twice and I am still waiting for my refund. They made a mistake to debit me twice yet they said I shouldn’t reverse my debit order.

“The staff members at Telkom show a flagrant disregard for their customers. The service that I received from Telkom was appalling, the personnel are beyond incompetent, a technician at Telkom pavillion messed up a simple process which other service providers have executed effortlessly, and in doing so I have lost all of my data on WhatsApp - and due to the incompetence and gross negligence by the technician I was forced to take two days leave from work in order to enable me to rectify the problem, I am currently still waiting for the issue to be resolved.
Furthermore, the store manager at Telkom pavillion does not have any sense of urgency, I requested the regional manager's number several times and she kept on insisting that they are not allowed to give me his number.
Once my patience wore thin, she eventually gave me the number, however Telkom is yet to rectify the problem that they have created.”
“Telkom has the most awful service that I have ever received from a service provider. They do not send the correct billing details on time and cut off the internet connect without warning. Further to this, their payment methods do not work, their website does not work, nor does their app.
This is not my first terrible experience with telkom cutting off my internet without warning. They can barely explain why their invoices are not sent on time and why they reflect the incorrect amount. I'm absolutely livid. I have to fork out R1600 out of the blue because telkom is just incompetent.”

I am even tired of being transferred to one department after another being made to verify to everyone giving my name, number, Physical address and email address to one department after another. I was transferred more than 14 times for nothing.
My cellphone internet stopped. My unlimited account has internet that I cannot use from 1st June 2024. I called more that 30 times without any working advice regardless I spent over R4000.00 to telkom per month. I'm now sitting at Telkom The Glen Mall where they told me "sorry, we can't help you, no technicians here, just keep calling".”
“I have taken out a contract with Telkom at a rate of R529, LTE home device. Now I have been billed for the past 3 months an additional account subscription and once off charges that varies monthly. When I called to enquire about it I was put through to different departments about 7 times without knowing what the additional subscription is. This is outrages. I have to use my own airtime to keep contacting Telkom. I will not be renewing with Telkom.”
“I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration with Telkom's services, which have proven to be utterly abysmal and incompetent in every conceivable way. My experience with Telkom has been nothing short of a nightmare, filled with endless issues, poor customer service, and a complete lack of accountability.
First and foremost, the internet connectivity provided by Telkom is abysmally poor. Despite their grand promises of high-speed internet, I have consistently faced slow speeds, frequent disconnections, and extended periods of downtime. It's almost as if Telkom's network infrastructure is perpetually on the verge of collapse. I have lost count of the number of times I have been in the middle of important online work, only for the connection to drop suddenly and without warning. This kind of unreliability is completely unacceptable in today's digital age, where stable internet access is a basic necessity.
Adding insult to injury is Telkom's horrendous customer service. Trying to get in touch with a representative is an exercise in futility. Their customer service hotline is perpetually busy, and on the rare occasion that I do manage to get through, I am met with unhelpful and apathetic agents who seem more interested in passing the buck than actually resolving any issues. On multiple occasions, I have been given contradictory information, transferred between departments without any resolution, and even outright ignored. It's as if Telkom's customer service exists solely to frustrate and infuriate its customers.
The billing process is another area where Telkom fails spectacularly. I have been overcharged on several occasions, and each time I have to jump through hoops to get the charges corrected. The billing statements are often confusing and riddled with errors. It's infuriating to have to constantly monitor my bills and fight to get back money that Telkom has erroneously taken from me. This level of incompetence in handling something as straightforward as billing is simply unacceptable.
To make matters worse, Telkom's technical support is utterly useless. On the rare occasions that a technician has been dispatched to address my connectivity issues, they have either failed to show up or arrived hours late without any prior notice. When they do show up, they seem ill-equipped and unprepared to handle the problems. I have had technicians leave without resolving the issue, promising to escalate it to higher authorities, only for nothing to be done. It's clear that Telkom's technical team is either woefully undertrained or simply doesn't care about providing effective support.
In conclusion, my experience with Telkom has been an unmitigated disaster from start to finish. The poor internet connectivity, atrocious customer service, incompetent technical support, and convoluted billing process make Telkom one of the worst service providers I have ever encountered. I would strongly advise anyone considering Telkom's services to look elsewhere, as they are sure to be met with nothing but frustration and disappointment. Telkom's complete lack of professionalism and reliability is inexcusable, and I sincerely hope that they take steps to address these issues, though my faith in their ability to do so is practically nonexistent.”
“I have been on 180 for a half and hour trying to get an option to speak to a consultant. How does telkom expect to give self-service if advice is required. This will result in me and many others to cancel our contract. I find this a waste of time. Telkom must now phone me, or advise how do I speak toa human being. I need to speak to consultant.
