Absolutely useless company, once they get payment upfront you can kiss goodbye to any kind of decent service. From having 'No courtesy cars available' despite it being part of my package, stating we'd had 'our maximum 8 call outs' when we'd actually had four and pay for unlimited call outs, to never dealing with our complaints! We are done with the AA and will never pay another penny for this ridiculous, shoddy service once our policy ends.

Zero stars. Have been stuck on South bound of M5 since 8.30. They got my location wrong not once but twice! Still waiting and it's midday. I was told I would be priority as lone female. Absolutely shocking.

AA has the rudest Customer Service representatives and unfortunately their Head Office is not any better, they are entitled and very poor listeners. I did not get to choose my AA breakdown cover to start with as it came as part of a financial car loan AA had arranged for me via a third party, no one at AA explained to me the difference between the policies and I was only told that I would have to pay , as an offer , £1 a month on Direct Debit, which I did pay for months, until I received a call from an AA representative whom told me that the offer had come to an end and I now had to pay £ 7.63 a month , again no explanation given on the type of breakdown policy. I since then just paid and never used your services but the only time I needed , then I was treated like I wasn’t even an AA member , where their representatives all they wanted to do was selling me extras and in a rude manner too. I complained to the CEO office and I was told that i had how “bombarded” the AA customer service representatives with questions, like this was so unacceptable of me to ask questions, I believe this is why a client calls a customer centre , surely not to be abused and rudely spoken back. To conclude , I feel that I have not received the polite type of customer service I had signed up for, therefore, I cancelled my membership and chose one of their competitors who will be more transparent with its action and use better manners.

I am stuck on the hard shoulder of the m5 with a puncture. I phoned at 5.55 am to be told they would be straight out as its a priority being in a dangerous place. It's now 8.00 and I have just been told someone will be with us at 9.05 am. They are so full of cheap. They don't have their own vehicles, a local garage is coming. I would have been better off phoning from the roadside phone. They are dangerous, leave well alone

Took out home insurance with the AA and paid extra for a Home Emergency Cover policy, which states words to the effect of "will identify and send a trader to undertake repair". Had a leak under our sink last week, duly called the AA and they duly sent a trader (A Lings), who simply said your valve is leaking so I've switched off your hot tap. Oh don't you have a spare valve, I enquired; no I'll order one said the so called plumber and we'll get back to you. We subsequently turned on the cold tap, only for water to gush all over our floor. I rang A Lings and explained what had happened only to be told I'd have to put in a new claim if I wanted them to return to isolate the leak. I said but aren't you due back to fit a new valve? No, that's not our responsibility, we came to isolate the leak only. I rang the AA back and the officer said, no they should have fixed that, not just isolated it, I'll give them a call and will call you back. Well, the only call back received was from A Lings, who reiterated, our job was to isolate only. I rang the AA back; different operator this time who said, well if that's what they are saying then you must only have cover for isolation. So the AA who sold me the policy cannot even be bothered to read the policy to see what cover a client actually has.... And what emergency cover insurance would simply isolate and not repair a leak – if you have to get your own plumber anyway, why would you bother with insurance. What an absolute joke! So, having paid the AA for emergency cover, which states we will fund up to £500 per emergency, we called a plumber independently who said that the cold water was simply travelling through the hot water leaking valve; so the A Lings plumber either didn't care, was trying to get an additional claim to isolate properly or is totally incompetent. All this aside from the fact that our policy states "we will repair".... Wrote to the AA CEO - not even an acknowledgement, let alone a response so this outfit just wants to take people’s money but has no intention of fulfilling their obligations as stated on the policy. I've cancelled auto renewal of breakdown cover too so when that and the household policies expire, the AA has lost our custom.

Do not use AA breakdown, the service is very poor and unreliable. I've reported a breakdown 8 o'clock pm after 2 hours recovery vehicle showed up which was not the right size to tow my car dispite AA knowing what car I'm driving 🤔. I was told to rearrange for recovery and after 12 hours I'm still on the side of the road and no sing of AA. This is a joke

I have just had the most shocking conversation with the AA. Firstly end of last year they charged me more that I can buy today (without discunts). Their excuse was that the charges were more last year!!! Yes, that was their reason. Secondly, never pay annually. If you pay monthly you can cancel at any time with 30 days notice, if you pay annually you get 14 days from renewal to cancel then no money back even if you cancel on day 15. For that, you get 10% discount and they get your money up front. This is a monthly cost schedule so NEVER pay annually. Shocking company, welcome RAC.

It's hard to know where to start. 13 hours to get recovered - only 70 miles from home. It's less the time issue and more the shocking lack of communication and interest in their customers. A digital communication system that doesn't work properly, huge waiting times on help numbers, disinterested call centre handlers and managers that don't have the bottle to come on the line. Worse still, you are promised one thing - only to find out that is not the case in reality. Many years as loyal family customers to the AA ruined in one day. 'The fourth emergency service' they said - thank goodness it isn't. Make certain you know what to expect before you pass over your money for membership.

I flew from Fort Lauderdale to Charlotte and as we landed, we had to wait 45 minutes in the plane because the airplane did bot have a gate to disembark. American Air lines has a poor planing, expensive tickets, they do not care.

In my opinion and experience AA Breakdown cover is fraudulent company. They break the contract and manipulate the situation for the purpose to avoid towing or paying for car to be serviced (if you have that additional option). My experience is similar to many experience you can find in online reviews. They will gladly take your money for the membership but avoid fulfilling their legal obligation by making up unfounded reasons without any proof or sense. You may need car breakdown cover in the future. AA will let you down.

The AA, as supplied for us by Admiral with National Breakdown cover. My partner broke down at 2.15pm on the m25. After a farcical 2 hours of "not being able to find him" ... on THE M25 just past the junction to M23 ON THE HARDSHOULDER, in the pissing rain. AA could not resolve roadside so towed to Clacket Lane services. Left, at Clacket Lane until 7pm (almost 5 hours) then a 3rd party with a mental case as a driver (asked for money, talked about whom he'd killed in service and moaned about how he hadn't eaten in two days and lived in his truck) picked up on a tow truck only to take the car to Thurrock services... and then be left there for a further 7 hours with multiple calls to AA on update and transparency of how long recovery was going to take to be persistently lied to. To have consistent messages only 5 mins before "updated time of pickup" 9.30pm, 10.20pm, 10.55pm, 11.55pm, 12.45am, 1.15am." Completely unacceptable, why not leave the person at Clacket Lane at least there is a hotel there!! You've let someone wait until 2am for help!! 12 hours!!! Ridiculous company, unsympathetic service will be cancelling immediately, what a disgrace.

I have been with The AA for 39 years. My subscription has gone up year on year. I phoned to complain and report that I was switching to another provider. They quoted a new subscription which was £100 cheaper. What happened to being rewarded for loyalty. I plan to switch between providers every year, I would recommend doing the same to get best price.

Broke down lone woman almost dual.. Busy a road and o here to pull in. Had purse stole earlier and didn't have aa card.. Tried to phone but on hold I was losing phone battery. Tried the app but because of lost aa Cardand bank Card I wasn't able to get very far on app.. No way of accessing aa breakdown. Jus employ more folk to answer phones. It was better before all this tech when you just rang the AA gave your details and car reg and they were there in less than an hr. I was totally helpless on roadside not knowing what to do.. I hat the AA now and want to cancel my subscription but of course I can't even get a reply to do that. I paid out for nothing.. No point paying for breakdown.. Found local garage to tow my car off the road in the end aa is an absolute waste of money wish I hadn't bothered.. Give me my money back you bunch of crooks.. And that's not the mechanics that's the dodgy company

Returned home from an extended holiday in NZ my car was parked in my driveway. Turned over first day but following day battery appeared to be flat. Called AA for assistance and it transpired my car tax had expired 4 days earlier therefore they refused to attend. I advised them was unaware as I was away before the reminder was sent out but I would immediately tax it online and it would be taxed before the engineer arrived. Phoned back 5mins later to advise them the car was taxed and the call handler said that it was company policy and as the car was "unroadworthy" at the time of the original call they were unable to help. I reiterated the fact it was not illegal to have an untaxed car on private property and that the car was now taxed but they wouldn't budge. Absolutely no discretion or empathy shown. Very disappointed with their lack of common sense 😞

I contacted the aa at approx 2pm. They arrived at 6.20pm. Poor arrogant customer service skills. Could not diagnose problem. Was bashing the starter motor with a hammer to get the car going. Wanted me to push the car in the cul de sac to bump start the car ???? Then I was to drive to local garage at 6.30pm when closed and I was to get a lift back home On top of which I still don't know what is wrong with the car. I have not received any email confirmation from the aa of diagnosis. Absolute rubbish.
