“I ordered 10 pounds of medium chiles, 10 pounds of hot chiles and 5 pounds of extra hot chiles this year. I contacted the Hatch Chile Store on a Friday in mid-September to tell them we were going to be out of town two weeks later. They made sure to ship the chiles the following Tuesday after I contacted them. The chiles arrived two days after they were shipped in excellent condition so that we could roast them and freeze them before leaving on our trip. We really appreciate the last minute effort to make sure our shipment would arrive when we were home. The chile rellenos we made using the medium chiles that night were great.”

“We have ordered green chile every year for many years now and every year we are completely delighted by the absolutely fabulous and high quality chile and the excellent customer service we always receive. I make a delicious and easy green chile sauce/dip/spread (great with crackers, chips, veggies, dipping your finger into it, great over chicken, grilled shrimp, etc. and I plan on sending the recipe to ya'll soon for you to share with your customers. It is a winner, hands down.”

“I get at least 10 lbs. of fresh Hatch Chili each year because I'm a chili-holic. I grew up in New Mexico and have been eating chili my entire life. Now that I live in New York, I can only savor the flavor by getting it delivered. It has always arrived fresh, and ready to roast. It is a ritual of mine every year to have some chili in the house - but alas, it doesn't last long because it's so incredibly yummy. May Hatch Chili Store survive and thrive!!”

“Everything was fantastic! Ordering my Chile was super easy and they were very good at communicating through email when the Chile left and gave me a tracking number. All of the Chile arrived fresh and intact, not a single one was damaged and unable to be used. It came out wonderful and tastes fantastic!”

“A quality product shipped fast and efficiently. I was doubtful that fresh chilis could make it from New Mexico to Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts and still be fresh. Shipping and delivery times have been crazy for the past year and a half so I figured I would be getting a very late box of moldy chilis. Thankfully they were not and they arrived here in 3 days.”

“The fresh green chiles I received this time were mostly real small. They were the kind that weren't real meaty so after you roasted them the chile part was about the same thickness as the peel. They had a good taste but there wasn't much there after roasting and I roasted them quickly...individually with a propane torch to keep them as meaty as possible.”

“I own a pizzeria in Evanston Illinois and we also serve tacos and things like chiles rellenos. The Hatch chile is superior in flavor, almost a buttery rich flavor. They make the best chiles rellenos! I saw the Food & Wine article about Hatch chiles and decided to try them and I'm glad I did. Dennis Clarkson / Gigio's Pizzeria”

“Ordered chili’s again this year, only order more. Ran out last year! Ordered for family & friends, we were roasting chili’s in 3 states together, but long distance. Waiting on another round of chili’s to arrive. Will not run out this year, they are so good.”

“Just received 10 pounds of medium chile. It was supposed to ship mid august but did not ship until mid September. I have ordered from this company multiple times over the years and the medium always has some variation from mild to hot but with good flavor no matter the heat. This batch - nothing. Zero heat whatsoever and zero flavor whatsoever. Utterly disappointed. Maybe they weren't ripe enough yet? Maybe I was shipped mild by mistake? Were these outsourced from somewhere else? I spent the weekend roasting and peeling, but I am debating whether I want to go to the trouble of vacuum sealing and freezing these or just chuck them out. A month ago I bought a pound of green chile from a supermarket. It had heat and was tasty. I wish I had just loaded up 10 to 20 pounds from the supermarket. This may be a harsh review as I have generally always had good reviews for this product and company and Covid seems to have somehow screwed up everything, but when you are a near annual customer and spend months anticipating some awesome green chile only to be utterly disappointed, well, I feel I should let the HCS know about it.”

“My order came in two separate shipments. The first shipment with xtra hot and hot chile arrived flawlessly and after roasting, we tasted each and found both to have excellent flavor and heat. The second shipment containing medium chile arrived more than a week later. At first it seemed like another perfect shipment but as I started removing pods for roasting I discovered a half dozen chiles that had basically turned to mush. No big deal, rinsed the rest and then roasted. Again, excellent flavor and correct heat level. We know it's been a tough year for harvesting and shipping but are still thrilled we were able to get our Hatch chile fix!”

“Good morning! I ordered the x-hot green chile (lumbre). Once here, I found the taste to be closer to mild than the "hot" that I am accustomed to eating. My wife and I, however, are enjoying this chile in our meals. I think the crop of this chile might have been different this year as compared to the "hotness" of other years. Could this be? Anyway, I liked your website, delivery was great, and I plan to try this chile again next year. Thanks.”

“It lives up to its name “Lumbre”. It was spicier than any other Hatch Chile I’ve had before but it still had a very good flavor. It took longer than expected to get so you need to order it early.”
