I had a terrible experience when using their website. I was never confirmed so I clicked out and redid the order but for more product. How ever, the system still placed the order. After contacting them 3 times they said that there is a system in place if it see's duplicate orders for the same product same day and same time. That didn't happen. I call but it had already shipped. That cost was 80.00$. They did offer at 20% credit back. Please fix your system!!!!!

Hi Michael, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. The reason your order was not rejected as a duplicate is that you ordered different products. One order was for 10lbs, the other for 5lbs. As such, it wasn't really a duplicate :( Both orders were shipped out before you reached out to us so there wasn't much that we could do beyond crediting you for the inconvenience. We send out confirmation emails when orders are placed. Did you not receive both confirmations? Thanks, The Hatch Chile Store

Chiles arrived in a few days to Hawaii. The product was a disappointment, the batch sent me consisted of a lot of tiny, immature chiles. These chiles were not hot at all. The few large ones in the batch had a good bite to them. I was not satisfied with the product sent me this year. I grew up in Arizona and New Mexico and love a good, hot chile.

I love y'alls green Chile. Living in New Mexico for eight years, you have to love it. After moving to Wisconsin my yearly purchase makes me the happiest. But this year I ordered a ten pound box and had to throw out over half of it because it was rotten. BAD. Smelt like rotten fish and the bottom of my box was squishy from rotten Chile juice. I expect some to go bad during shipping but not that much. I'm still deciding on if I'll try again next year.

Hi Sarah, I took a look at your order and it looks like you selected ground shipping. We do highly recommend 2nd day air because when the chile is in the back of an unconditioned truck for days it can spoil very easily. If this ever occurs again please contact us about it and send some pictures to us! In situations like your own we do our best to work out something so that you get the chile you love :) I am going to go ahead and private message you a 20% off coupon for your next order since you received some spoiled chile. Thanks, Taylor

Well, honestly, I picked the Parkers in part because they are bigger. However the box I received were small and medium sized. I've grown bigger ones in Plano, Texas in the yard and the conditions are not good for Hatch chiles. The seeds I got from the university. So for 4 dollars a pound, here in dallas I was paying 2 dollars a pound, I thought that by ordering I would get some premium peppers, but they were not.

Hi Erick, Our Joe Parker is one of our smallest varieties. Big Jim and 1904 are the larger ones. Joe Parker is an heirloom variety bred for flavor, not size. If you'd like large chile, please order Big Jim or 1904 in the future and you'll be very happy with the size. As they say though, "size isn't everything" and the Joe Parker proves that with it's ease of peeling after roasting and fabulous flavor. Best, The Hatch Chile Store

Hi, Our X-Hot is a hair hotter than our regular hot. I'm sorry you thought it was mild. Please be sure to keep the veins in as that's where all the heat is. 99% of the time, people who say that our hot varieties don't have enough heat are de-veining the chile. Thanks, The Hatch Chile Store

It was very hard to order online then left several messages with no return calls. I am still waiting on part of my order. Was very disappointed using my gift from my family.

Hi Laura, It looks like we returned your calls several times. I'm sorry you were disappointed with your experience. Would you mind writing us at support@hatch-green-chile.com and elaborating as to what happened? We take service very seriously. Thanks, The Hatch Chile Store

Very disappointed with the HEAT. I asked for hot, but it was hardly hot at all. I eat all the time at Los Dos Molinos in Phoenix where they get Hatch chilis, and there salsa is FANTASTIC. I would not buy from you again unless you have something WAAAAAAAY hotter than what I purchased.

Hi Michael, You ordered our typical table salsas, none of which are made with out hot or x-hot chile. You're welcome to order some of our x-hot or hot chile, but our salsa's are made with jalapeno, rather than green chile. The green sauce you ordered is made with hot, but not extra hot. Thanks, Preston

I ordered green chile 7/7/18. Apparently I marked fresh chile instead of frozen, called store, corrected order. Chile was finally delivered 8/23/18 after several phone calls. I was told everytime I called the order was on the way. The last call was done the week before the order arrived

My first order was handled in a timely and professional manner. However my second order has not . It's been going on three weeks and still hasn't been shipped yet with no word on when.

Chile was advertised as "extra hot". Most were mild to medium, a few were close to hot. None were extra hot! I contacted the seller and was told heat was subjective and was offered a 50percent discount on another order. I know heat is subjective, but I've been in Albuquerque many times as and enjoyed hot and very hot chili's. I know how they should taste. Offering a 50 percent discount to reorder a product I was not satisfied with is not good customer service.

Website was very difficult to navigate. I wanted to order the same thing I ordered last year which was 5lbs of roasted Big Jims. At check out the wrong address kept coming up and it took me 30 minutes to get it straightened out. What was delivered to me was 5lbs of fresh chilis for which I paid $6 lb. I can get fresh hatches chilis at Whole Foods for $1.99 lb. ($10 vs $30). The whole process was confusing and probably my screwup but the whole deal was very disappointing. Thank You

The texture of the chilies were stringy. They appeared to be quite old or maybe just freezer burnt. Had a lot of Hatchs's Chilies and loved them. This batch just seemed subpar.

This was the first time I ordered with you. I ordered 20 pounds of whole mild chili. When I received the package there was only one box of 5 pounds of chopped chili. Being the first time I didn't know if you sent it 5 pounds at a time or what. I wouldn't think so. I called 3 or 4 times leaving a message 2 times. I kept calling to see if I could speak with a person. Finally I spoke with someone and told them what had happened. They said they would check it out. The calls were made on Thursday and Friday. Monday a lady returned my call from the message I left and that is when I explained I had ordered whole chili and this was chopped. It would have been nice to have gotten my 20 pounds of whole chili and not 15 pounds of whole and 5 pounds of chopped. I had offered to send the chopped back.

Romulo, There's actually a notice in bold, colored, all-caps on our medium-hot which states that "Medium hot is running milder than usual, please order hot if you want a good kick". Thanks, The Hatch Chile Store

I ordered the medium hot red chilis. The box was so marked however, they were barely mild. They had as much 'heat' as a red bell pepper. When I called about this I was told Big Jim's are very inconsistent. I placed my order on the phone and your rep never mentioned that to me. So, yes, I'm very disappointed.

I ordered hot and received what must be the very mildest. Very disappointed; it was not a cheap order and I expected it would be correct. Sorry for the bad review, but I now have a BUNCH of green chiles that have NO hot flavor.

The process as a whole was very easy, which I appreciated. However, the product that was delivered to me was extremely inferior to the product I ordered. My order was for a 5 pound batch of medium-hot chiles and once I roasted the chiles and ate a few (on two separate occasions) I was very disappointed with the level of heat provided by the chiles. I detected no hint of spice when eating the chiles and it almost tasted like I was simply eating a bell pepper rather than the famous Hatch green chile I came to love after living in Albuquerque for five years. I'm not sure what went wrong but I would very much appreciate some type of explanation as to why the chiles were not spicy.

Been ordering for years with rotten peppers in every box. I shrug it off. This year, half of a 25# box was rotten. Cost was $55 with a $50 shipping cost. I received replacement peppers, about 12# and there were rotten ones in there. Again. After four years of rotten peppers arriving I can't recommend them. The cost is exorbitant for shipping and if they're arriving rotten it's a quality control issue (timing of shipping/freshness) or a shipping company issue. They keep calling and emailing me to change my reviews. The woman hung up on me after I explained the REASON for my poor review. Hung up. Nice. Look elsewhere for your hatch chile peppers.

Kim, Our records indicated that we completely replaced your 25lb box with a new one. We shipped both boxes via 2-Day Air which we guarantee the freshness of on delivery. None of our representatives are allowed to "hang up" on customers. I'm going to assume the call was disconnected and apologize for that. As to quality control, we pick and ship same-day and have fabulous results with 2-Day shipping. If your replacement box arrived with spoilage, all you need to do is send an email to support@hatch-green-chile.com including pictures of the damaged our spoiled chile (as outlined in our shipping guarantee) and we'll ship a fresh box out next week. Thanks, Preston

Ordered the medium hot and extra hots, neither were much hotter than a green bell pepper. We are from Colorado so very familiar with hatch green chilies, these look the part but they certainly don't taste the part.
