I told you they were rotting on arrival. You wanted a picture, but I had already thrown them out. I've never received them in that condition before. I thought pre-ordering and guaranteed freshness would eliminate that. That's what I get for guessing. Have a nice day.

The 25lb batch ..I roasted properly as I always did in the past..this time I was disappointed...no meat on the chilies...90% had to go down the garbage disposal...thnx hatch chilie company...

Hi David, It looks like this is the first time you've placed an order with us and didn't reach out to our customer service team about this issue. You did email in on 7/19 to let our customer service team know everything arrived in good shape. I took a look at the photo you posted. It looks like the chile was roasted at a low temperature for a long time. This causes the skin of the chile to cook rather than blister. Since the skin never blisters, it does not release. Typically when roasting chile, you want to roast it at a very high temperature very quickly—that way, the skin blisters and easily separates from the pod. To aid in the peeling process, we recommend placing the roasted peppers (while they are still hot) in some kind of sealed container. This allows steam to build up and makes the skin easier to peel off. I'm afraid we cannot offer you a free reshipment as the chile was in no way spoiled or damaged. What I can do is send another box if you are willing to cover the cost of shipping. We understand mistakes happen, and we all need to get our Hatch Green Chile fix :) -The Hatch Chile Store

Sent with minimal dry ice and thawed completely after one day on the shaded porch Moreover, the company takes no responsibility for delivery so don’t order unless you plan to be home to receive the package in person (and you won’t know exactly which day). The dry ice was clearly not enough to last the five day shipping transit.

I responded to your Father's Day promotion and ordered Chile rellenos for my husband on Monday, June 14th. I live about 3.5 hours drive from Hatch. I expected to receive my order by Saturday, June 19th, at the latest. On Wednesday, June 16th, I received a FEDX alert telling me they would be delivered on Saturday, June 19 and they were coming from West Sacramento, CA! Whaaaat!?!?!? I thought I was ordering a New Mexican product. I emailed and a gal explained your shipping system to me. Well, I finally received my order on Tuesday, June 22. All the dry ice had melted and the rellenos were thawed. We tried to heat them up and eat them and they were AWFUL! We threw them out. I did receive a prompt refund. Your shipping system may benefit people from afar but clearly is not designed for New Mexicans. I will never order from you again.

Hi Barbara, We apologize that you received your chile rellenos thawed. Since it was a delay on FedEx's end, it is absolutely outside of our control. However, it sounds like we made the issue right, by giving you a prompt refund. Our main customers are those who do not have Hatch Green Chile and products readily available like we do here in New Mexico. Do not worry about shipping from California and Ohio, all of our products are directly from the Hatch Valley. We are a small family business that takes great pride in our contribution to our local community. Hello, I'm a bit confused here. All of our tamales are made by our sister company, Amigo's Mexican Foods. Their tamales are not found in any grocery stores or chains in the US. Thank you, The Hatch Chile Store

Hi Michael, I am so sorry! It doesn't look like you reached out to our customer service team about this issue. I took a look at your order, it was placed on 5/25 and shipped on 5/26. The FedEx tracking number shows "Pending" which is the FedEx code for lost. I am so sorry, every now and then FedEx does lose a package. I've gone ahead and set up a reshipment for you, it will go out early next week. I ordered two dozen Chile Riano‘s, first ones arrived spoiled, they sent another order out and again spoiled. They sat in the local FedEx office for three days before being delivered, so no mystery why they had ruined. They should be shipped out on a Monday, therefore should arrive on a normal business day, the shipping dept. has NO regard for timely delivery .

Hello Ruth, I am taking a look at our records and see that on 4/16 you reached out to us letting us know of this issue, to which we responded on 4/17 for further details and clarification. On 4/21 you responded back, to which we responded on 4/22 asking for you to send us photos of the double orders so that way we could file a claim with our shipping team and set up a reshipment for you as stated in our company policies. After 4/22 we have no received any response from you which did not permit us to set up a reshipment. Having lived in SW New Mexico I had the good fortune to enjoy AUTHENTIC rellenos. I ordered rellenos and red tamales - excellent tamales but the rellenos had almost no cheese filling. Very disappointed for the cost vs value.. My wife makes a better relleno than yours!

I ordered two 3 ounce containers of mild green chile and received one 3 ounce container od hot green chile. Two emails and thred phone calls later I feel battered and abused. Ivhave cancelled my accojnt at this unpleasant and incompetent store. I have informed my friend who recommended it of the fiasco this has been.

I have been a customer for many years even prior to the current owner. I recently ordered 12 jars of Mild red sauce. When I received the email confirmation I saw that you were shipping Hot not Mild. I called immediately which was 36 hours before you shipped and asked to cancel or correct the order. My request was refused. I will never order from these people again.

Sadly we are very disappointed. I wish we hadn’t ordered so much. We ordered 25 pounds of extra hot and not only do they have absolutely zero heat they have very little flavor. I don’t know if we received mislabeled product or what. When I roast our and freeze them, we don’t lose any flavor or intensity, if anything it’s the opposite. We have used 1 pound and have 24 to go. With any luck we just got a mislabeled baggie and the others will be right but what are the chances.

I have written reviews before and always given you a 5 star, however, when I received my last order one of the jars had broken and salsa was on the other jars and it was a mess. I reached out because your website guarantees worry free shipping. I never heard anything. There was poor packaging (one little piece of bubble wrap) and I even took a picture of what it looked like when I sent the email. I am disappointed in your customer service and will be cancelling my monthly order.

Chilis were very mild, very little cheese. Best way to reheat them seemed to be deep frying...if I was going to deep fry I would make my own with more cheese and hotter peppers!

Horrible, horrible flavor. My family had been waiting to have red chili enchiladas but I dumped the whole jar down the garbage disposal after one taste- the strong taste of overcooked onion, not chili.

I want to return product for a full refund. Lived in NM for over 50 years. Always bought Hatch. This is the first year I bought on line. The absolute WORST experience with Hatch green chili in my life! Bland, no taste, no heat whatsoever! Not only can I not use this substandard product, I will not because of the embarrassment. My entire family was shocked and disappointed. What happened to your company?
