Your response to an email required I send a 2nd email and your response was disappointing. Not 1 Star for Customer Service, very Poor. Good Chile bad business. Sean, Most businesses offer a Senior or Veterans discount, particularly if asked or is a current customer. I would and I have, (in business for 30 + years). You must be doing well selling your chile, good, you don't need my business. You have competitors who reply quickly to emails and eager to take business from you. Should you offer discounts, please reach out to me. No news letters please, just want chile at a fair rate. No chit chat (news letters) Sean. Marty

Hi, Marty. I'm sorry that we weren't able to provide you with a discount. You're welcome to sign up for our newsletter if you want notification of specials or discounts we may be running. We definitely offer the best rate you can find on chile that is ACTUALLY from here in the Hatch Valley and is picked and packed same-day (for our fresh). The only competitor we have online which produces and sells the same products at the same level of quality as us is The Hatch Chile Express. I'm sure if you peruse their site, you'll see that we offer better prices on chile. All that being said, I have to point out that not offering a discount to an individual doesn't usually constitute bad customer service. Kept sending monthly shipments and refunds are difficult to get they are inept at office procedures

The chillies arrived 7 days after shipping. We have tried 4 times to get a response from Hatch, no luck, no one seems to want to take care of the issue of spoiled product. Extremely disappointed, spend your money elsewhere.

I was delivered an order 6 days late , it was supposed to be frozen and it wasn,t . being 6 days late does not make sense for an order that was supposed to have been delivered on the 3rd and it is now the 9th . I have the label showing it was sent on the 2nd for over night shipment !. I had my neighbor over tom see my order soft and melted. I opened a complaint with pay pal.I would not order from hatch chili store again............

This damn review pop-up is the most annoying thing I've every seen on a website. Forces you to scroll up and down to read the right edge of the screen. Annoying, Frustrating and Always in the Wrong Place. Get rid of it.

Chiles we received had an expired use by date. We are not satisfied. The company said they would seen a new order but it’s been 2 weeks, so we guess they aren’t going to follow through. It saddens me as we have loved our previous orders and love Hatch green chiles. Won’t order from them again. Darn!!!

Never recoeved the order. Contacted customer service twice and was assured it would be taken care of the first time and that I’d be given an update the second time... but no Chile’s and no update, and it’s been about a month now since I paid over $200 for some chiles.

Hi Kim, Thanks for the feedback. I've taken a look at your order and it looks like the DC marked it shipped but had to cancel the original shipment as FedEx didn't allow for dry ice to your area (I guess things are flown in on a small plane and it's a safety issue). They never alerted us to that and now that we know, we'll get this upgraded to overnight service and shipped without dry ice as an apology. Thanks, Preston

You failed miserably. I pre ordered chili’s and you completely blew me off! Don’t ever e mail me again. You can’t live up to your customers! Go away! Never contact me again!!!

Hi Roy, I see two orders from you in our system. One was delivered and the other was cancelled before it was shipped out. We received an email for you requesting a refund since the chile wasn't ready as soon as you had expected. I'm so sorry you were unhappy with the wait on the pre-order. With two day delivery, over 50% of the chili was rotten. The degree was so bad that even the good Chili’s or unusable. I discovered it was better to buy from local specialty markets In my area that were importing hatch chili at the height of season at a better cost.

Hi Randy, The orders I see from you were not placed for 2-Day Service (Except a frozen order which this review would not pertain to) they were placed for ground service. We are happy to re-ship orders free of charge when customers experience in-transit spoilage and have opted for 2-Day Air or better, as advertised on our checkout page. Thanks, The Hatch Chile Store

The chili never shipped. The support said I'd get an email when it ships, still no email... Time to cancel the order and find a new way to get my green chili.

the chile's were not up to the high standards we normally receive from the Hatch Chile store. I know they came from the last picking, but they still should have been better. I personally would not have sent the order to a customer. thank you' waiting for next season. We really like Hatch Chile.

I ordered extra hot green chili and received mild. Being a New Mexico resident I definitely know the difference. The $60 bill I paid for 10lbs including shipping was not worth it at all! I can maybe see living out of state and getting your green chili here, especially if you like mild chili, but if you live in state there are a lot better and cheaper places to get your chili. I took a chance on this place but this is definitely not the place to go for hot chili.

Ordered fed ex 3 day air, chilies sent fed ex ground. This caused cascading problems. You don't always get what you pay for.

Hi Mark, FedEx states that you requested that they hold your box at their location on Friday for you to pick up. If this is not true, we can file a claim with FedEx. If it is true, and you did not pick it up after calling and asking them to hold it, they would have held it over the weekend and delivered on Monday. That is what appears to have happened but we'd love to hear your side of the story. Please give us a call at 575-635-4680 after the holiday weekend and we'll get things sorted out. This is the second year in a row of two that my order was received with a large quanity of the chiles being rotten and damaged. Last year they were shipped to MD which is a long shipping distance. This year to Sothern CA mush shorter. Tried to get 2nd day air but website kept returning it to the default 3 day ground. I have to comment the company for accepting responsibility and issuing a quick refund without any problem. In future will buy my Hatch chiles when our speciality stores bring them in. I may pay more but I get to pick them myself. The best chile does come from Hatch NM no question about it.

DON'T ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE! I ordered Big Jim medium hot green chile for the Easter weekend. They sent me mild red chile. When I called to complain it took 3 days to get a call back. They wanted to reship the right order but at the same price. I said I shouldn't have to pay air since it will take me a week. They agreed to credit the shipping. But, when they shipped out the second order supposedly the correct product, they shipped it ground knowing it would be spoiled when it got here. I just tried to call them back at 4:20 NM time and of course no one answered the phone. I sent an email demanding the 2nd product delivery not be delivered to my door because it would be rotten. I lived in NM as an adult for over 25 years always put up hatch chile while I was there. I plan on moving back this fall. Never again will I do business with this company. They treat people who are out of town and out of the area like they mean nothing. The hatch store provides horrible service when it comes to getting product to people outside the area. Don't waste your time or money use the New Mexican Connection I have ordered from them 4 times and NEVER had one problem. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Even paid a lot more to get it from Hatch never again. You can also order from Sichler Farms they have great chile and they are great honest people.

Debra, I'm sorry you had a bad experience but I think there's a bit of a misunderstanding here. We apologize for inadvertently shipping you the wrong product but actually did re-ship it free of charge. Our hours during the off-season are 10-4 so I'm sorry you missed us. The ground shipment would have been packed with additional dry ice to cover the extra time in transit. We do not ship orders in a manner which would have them arrive spoiled. I just pulled up the tracking history and it appears that your re-shipment was delivered in the appropriate amount of time based on how much dry ice was used (3-Days) and should have still been frozen on arrival. If this was not the case, please let us know and we'll get a second reship out to you. It sounds like you posted this review before receiving the re-ship though so I think there was some degree of misunderstanding here. We treat all of our customers like family and definitely do not treat ANYONE as if they mean nothing. We're the number one choice for shipping chile out of state as evidenced by the thousands of reviews you'll find out there for us. That being said, we are human beings and mistakes do sometimes happen. What brings customers back to us year after year is the way we fix our mistakes, as we did here, by promptly re-shipping orders which are damaged or miss-picked.
