“Good Price, but the fact that you dont have who to talk and is only an "online" service is a disadvantage. Your tool has a big error and ask you to "confirm" that you were born in the UK mandatory with no way to modify this, neither any help around in the evening. The following day all you have is a chat, that can do very little to help, and after a very long time of insisting that someone looks properly at the error, then finally you have some help. too much effort via chat, takes too long for something really simple. first time with Yoga, lets hope the end service is not as bad as the start.
I am rating it 2, cos the effort that requires dealing with something this simple and your tools don't serve for purpose, unless this is designed this way for people to make the mistake, then you can claim the insurance is void as the information is not correct.”
“‘Caveat emptor’ springs to mind. Like many reviewers I was directed to Yoga-Insure by several different comparison websites. But the old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ is just as true in this case too. Yes, the price was competitive (£11.60 cheaper than my renewal price quoted by my current insurer) but the cover provided, which I only discovered after I had been sent all the policy documents to view, is not as comprehensive. Although Yoga-Insure do include free add-ons like breakdown cover, only ‘basic’ cover is provided which means you are limited to a maximum of 2 call-out per year and you have to pay a £20 excess for each call-out! Whilst I appreciate many customers neither have the time or inclination to read all the small print, Yoga-Insure issue so many different documents that you don’t really know what cover you have purchased until you read through them all very carefully. I considered cancelling my policy immediately after purchasing it but Yoga-Insure is a self-service online based portal and you cannot ring customer services direct. Instead, you have to go through one of those dreadful chat bots which, as usual, was hopeless. Eventually I did manage to communicate with a person (Abbie) who advised me that even though my policy did not start until 1 Mar 23 if I wished to cancel, I would have to pay a £49.99 cancellation fee. To be fair she did explain that Yoga-Insure incur costs just for setting up a policy i.e. comparison site fees and DVLA subscription charges which she stated were not refunded if a customer decided to cancel their policy. As she did not confirm how much these individual charges were, I can only question how other insurance companies allow customers to cancel within the normal 14-day cooling-off period especially in cases, like mine, where the insurance was purchased weeks in advance of the required date. I did however manage to cancel the automatic renewal so next year I will avoid Yoga-Insure.”
“I started in the supermarket putting all details in
Marked which ADD on's I wanted
Then when it came up as a Good price thinking yeah that's for Me
Tuck Me to your site checked details then wanted Me to ADD all ADD on's again, like Lagal insurance, window screen, Break down ect again then price went up again from the £294 to £364
What's that all about ??????”
“Great web site, unfortunately I made a mistake with my address and they charge you £25 even though I realised immediately that I had input the wrong details. No way to change???”
“I think your price for insurance was fair but I think charging £15 administration fee to renew policy wasn’t necessary I’ve never had that before but it’s done now☹️”
“So, you can't contact them!!! I cannot remember my password, pressed 'forgot my password', no email comes through, even though the reminder for my username is confirmed by email - how on earth do I change anything on my policy if I can't log in to my portal!!!”
“was okay until renewal i did not get any reminders just an e mail to say the money was not vailable on my card . i had no price to renew until less than a week away. they did t take the money on my renewal day yesterday and i still dont know if i have re newed , really annoying there is no phone number to talk to someone , the onlune stuff is rubbish”
“i have been trying to download your app for about 3 months. it’s not been working since then. apparently your IT team have been working on it since then.
Very worrying as it’s an online service. that it’s not up and running after this time”
“I have tried to sign into my account with the password I always use and also requested password to be sent which was 3 times and I still can’t log on. Not happy that I can’t speak to anyone as Yogi isn’t any help.”
“I have entered my email address to retrieve my password and although you have sent me emails to the address, I have not yet received the email as requested, through the portal. My insurance was on autorenewal but card expired, so now I have to search for another quote and take my business elsewhere as I cannot update my card details.”
“Loved the product and the benefits but when I paid it said there was an issue tried to pay again and would go through so tried to sign up with a different insurer. I then checked email to find you had taken oayment and sent me a policy doc. Funds taken from my bank too”
“With it being online it can be confusing to do a vehicle change of cover , tried to do it online but it looks like I have been charged twice for policy amendments, 1 being just going the details of my original car …. And the Live chat is no use as there is no one to speak with …”
“recently tried to access my account but as I had forgotten my password I used your auto password 5 times it sent me a new password and each time did not accept it now account is locked and I can't drive car due to changes I need to make at this moment wish I had not taken policy with yourselves”
“You are not the cheapest car insurance company and you charge alot to cancel the car insurance with you. So when I got a different car I had to stay with you”
“Sadly after 9 years or more, my car was hit on a roundabout at speed. 4 daya after hours of calls waiting in queues and being passes from one person or dept to another I am still waiting 3 days later to learn when I will receive a hire car and learn when the repairer and who will accept the work.
One call told me I was to receive a like for like car to my bmw whoever now it transpires I will only be able.to receive a corsa ( when I finally do get a date) and the nearest repairer over 45mins drive away!!
I thought the insurance would do all the work....I've had no car for 4 days and have had to make untold calls and emails.
The people are nice and helpful but I can only assume unable.to manage this amount of business.
I wont be returning to yoga.”
“The original insurance was good cover and competitive and easy to set up. I did not like that you cant talk to anybody and that their "chat" is fully automated and does not let you have a discussion with an operator.
When we got our renewal I went into the portal and (I thought) I had cancelled it because we no longer own the car. I let it run for a few weeks so as not to incur an early settlement. Yoga have since renewed against my instructions and loaded every element that they offered onto the quote. I believe this is mall practise and by deliberately not giving you the option in the portal to be abele to decline the renewal goes against the financial services rules. If someone doesn't contact me it will be going to the FOS and Watchdog.”
“When I took out the policy I forgot to add on my son in law he has been on my policy for many years only 3 days later went to add him on and was told he didn’t fit the criteria he’s 35 no claim or accidents no points on his license and been driving for 17 years definitely won’t renew with you next year”
