“Nobody to speak to and the website rejected my change of vehicle despite being an experienced older driver with plenty of no claims bonus. My previous car had been cheapest quote with Yoga”
“The charge of £150 for insurance was fair, but after agreeing to pay I was then informed the while the computer was doing it's thing, that a charge of £49 for setting up was imposed, I did not agree to this and couldn't cancel the policy.
Charge's should be explained at the beginning of preparing to choose an insurance company.”
“I am still waiting for my insurance documents and my no claims bonus has not been adjusted. When I asked about the lower NCB in the quote I was told it would be adjusted at the start of the policy.”
“I am of an age where I don't understand the procedure of online insurance. And insufficient Information of what to do.I don't have equipment to print off the details.I needed the paper version.
I hope I get a full refund of the full amount I paid. And would request for it ASAP.I am a 75 year old pensioner.PLEASE.
STEVE KILNER.”
“Well I've changed to a smaller car at half the price and ended up paying 3 times the price so will be looking to change provider of insurance very shortly. So its goodbye yoga.”
“Iv jst bought new car and had insurance with you with old car n had to pay £149 up front to start new policy as i couldn't get through to change insurance from old car to new 1”
“All went well until I attempted to delete the auto renewal. I noted that it can be done from the portal - but can't find it there, or using the live chat which - is a robot and doesn't give an option to delete it. I find this most frustrating and guess that lots of other customers will think the same. Having looked at these 2 options that were indicated it only leaves one other option - to do so in writing. BUT there is no email option as they are all emails are on a no reply basis - and no email address given ... so unbelievably the only other option given is to send a letter by snail mail!!!!
The simple solutions are to put an opt out button in the portal in a place not hidden away, and include the auto renewal as a heading in the chat robot.”
“£49.99 cancellation fee and the policy doesn’t start for 3 weeks I find a little bit steep ( slight hint of sarcasm)
Good price but couldn’t alter my no-claims bonus amount … hence the cancellation”
“Not a bad experience setting up the policy, that was easy enough..but as the policy hasn’t yet started I cannot comment on the service I shall be provided with and looking at some of the 1* reviews I’m not overly optimistic, though time will tell. At least we have the option of giving any complaints should they arise to The Financial Conduct Authority. Ref: ....I shall review again, hopefully positively.”
“After I had paid for my car insurance which was a month in advance, I had to make amendments for which I was charged £20. I really resent having to pay this so called "mid term" admin fee even before the insurance has begun! I tried to discuss this with the "chat bot" but as usual, I got no where. I really wish I had chosen a company that I could speak to a customer agent.”
“Trying to get to the end of offer was very difficult. Nearly gave up and went elsewhere. Live chat also not working at the time. Website needs updated. Apart from that the quote was both reasonable and lots of extras.”
“Need to cancel my insurance but cannot do it online . The phone numbers are not helpful. The site chat cannot help either.
The package of insurance is very good but contact is non existent. I am selling my car and cannot cancel my insurance, so frustrating”
“Signed up with yoga for car insurance . Will not be renewing!!! You welcomed me to yoga family by email stating I would receive docs in a second email. I did not! I tried to login to get my policy number couldn’t recall my login details. I didn’t receive assistance. Your BOT is inadequate. I tried to call but you only provide a claims tel number stAting any other query will not gain assistance. . I’m seriously disappointed and quite concerned. Before retiring I was a customer service manager with an online insurer who DID provide a full telephone service in any event . This is a very poor service. I am a new customer who will not be renewing.”
“Good Price, but the fact that you dont have who to talk and is only an "online" service is a disadvantage. Your tool has a big error and ask you to "confirm" that you were born in the UK mandatory with no way to modify this, neither any help around in the evening. The following day all you have is a chat, that can do very little to help, and after a very long time of insisting that someone looks properly at the error, then finally you have some help. too much effort via chat, takes too long for something really simple. first time with Yoga, lets hope the end service is not as bad as the start.
I am rating it 2, cos the effort that requires dealing with something this simple and your tools don't serve for purpose, unless this is designed this way for people to make the mistake, then you can claim the insurance is void as the information is not correct.”
“‘Caveat emptor’ springs to mind. Like many reviewers I was directed to Yoga-Insure by several different comparison websites. But the old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ is just as true in this case too. Yes, the price was competitive (£11.60 cheaper than my renewal price quoted by my current insurer) but the cover provided, which I only discovered after I had been sent all the policy documents to view, is not as comprehensive. Although Yoga-Insure do include free add-ons like breakdown cover, only ‘basic’ cover is provided which means you are limited to a maximum of 2 call-out per year and you have to pay a £20 excess for each call-out! Whilst I appreciate many customers neither have the time or inclination to read all the small print, Yoga-Insure issue so many different documents that you don’t really know what cover you have purchased until you read through them all very carefully. I considered cancelling my policy immediately after purchasing it but Yoga-Insure is a self-service online based portal and you cannot ring customer services direct. Instead, you have to go through one of those dreadful chat bots which, as usual, was hopeless. Eventually I did manage to communicate with a person (Abbie) who advised me that even though my policy did not start until 1 Mar 23 if I wished to cancel, I would have to pay a £49.99 cancellation fee. To be fair she did explain that Yoga-Insure incur costs just for setting up a policy i.e. comparison site fees and DVLA subscription charges which she stated were not refunded if a customer decided to cancel their policy. As she did not confirm how much these individual charges were, I can only question how other insurance companies allow customers to cancel within the normal 14-day cooling-off period especially in cases, like mine, where the insurance was purchased weeks in advance of the required date. I did however manage to cancel the automatic renewal so next year I will avoid Yoga-Insure.”
