“Delivery was left on doorstep despite instructions clearly printed on parcels to leave in shed. Driver rang door bell and left before checking someone was in. This is not acceptable and not the 1st time we've had issues with this courier.”
“I am surprised to find so many negative reviews because, twice this week, I sent an envelope from Perth, Scotland to Hong Kong and it reached its destination exactly at the time DHL promised me. It was a BIG deal to me and twice DHL filled its promise. On top of that, I got really excited by the fantastic DHL tracking website giving me regular updates on my international letter. It may sound trivial but I cannot get over the mesmerizing technology allowing me to follow my envelope every step of the way until it lands tomorrow on the desk where it needs to be. Even the disruption in updates speak to me as I am certain it is now flying over Europe and Asia for an 11 hours flight. Silence means something good is happening.

“A 1 star review is too generous. I ordered cookies to a friend and paid £8 for Saturday delivery. They not only failed to deliver but did not bother to let me know they wouldn’t, they sent it to a facility the wrong side of the country. I then got in contact to ask the package be left with a neighbour if they’re not home when they redelivered it on a weekday (thus sat). They then failed to deliver again and didn’t attempt communication or the other address. They then responded to my email complaint with an admittance of fault but not even an apology.
Incompetence and rudeness.”
“DHL was working in conjunction with Dunelm to deliver a single bed frame I ordered. They both boasted that the item would arrive on Friday 30th April. They both sent me an email & text to confirm this.
Come Friday, there were no texts or emails from either of them & in the end there was no delivery.
DHL even say if they can't deliver on the day they will deliver the next day. This did not happen either.
Contact customer service & all they did was send an email with a case number & said they would respond within 3 days.
They are showing total comtempt to not just me but all the Customers who have spent their hard earned money to purchase goods online only for incompetent delivery services like DHL & other courier services to screw up & they are so blaise about it.
So now I have to spend more time sleeping on a mattress on the floor with a foot injury & a testicular condition which is not ideal.
I will find out if I can take this matter any further !”
“(1) You click on a link in an english email and you get a page all in Japanese with no option to choose english. (2) The option for shipping method only includes non-scheduled options. If you chose to wait for the scheduled shipment, nothing happens. You could wait forever and it would not be delivered. (3) Finally when you call them they cannot deliver as scheduled and you still have to wait. Worst service ever and horribly OVER-PRICED!!”
“Rodruigo from DHL in Costa Calma, went out of his way to reassure me that an inportant package i was waiting on would be looked after by him. As i fretted about the delivery, he called and texted me, telling me not to worry that he would be looking out for it. True to his word, when the package arrived he called me and made arrangements for the dricer to meet me and deliver it. His helpful, caring and courteous attitude, went a long way to assuage the fears I had. When I spoke to him, to thank him, his response was, its my job. “Actually my family sent me a parcel from our country using our poste express services if i knew that will be over DHL i will not accept it all.
My parcel came in total disaster (food item, some spices and sweets).
I can understand that you will open for safety check but at least you can close it later before sending it to next destination.

“I’m only rating DHL one star because minus stars aren’t possible. I though other couriers were bad, but DHL are without a doubt the worst courier I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
I ordered a new phone through my business and the driver said my 75 year old house was “inaccessible” - at least that’s what the tracking info said. I rearranged delivery for today and the driver arrives over an hour earlier than DHL had texted, obviously at the only time I was out today.
That’s when the fun and games started. The driver left the package on my neighbours doorstep, then took it back, even though my neighbour asked him to leave it. He of course denied it, even though I have the footage in glorious 4K high definition.
You cannot get through to DHL’s “customer service” until after the delivery time has passed. Now as he was early, by the time they condescended to allow me a (telephone) audience, this was already a good two hours after the driver had refused to leave the package with my neighbour (I might add at this juncture, that this was even after I confirmed that he should leave it with said neighbour).
As my order was a company order, it “failed data protection” because it’s in the company’s name and not my own, despite the fact that it is run from my home address and I am a director (the wife is the other). Needless to say after this delightful exchange, my conversations with “customer services” would have made a sailor blush and would require a “15” certificate at least should they decide to listen to said calls for “training and quality purposes”. Training, maybe. Quality? Not from DHL, not by a long shot.
On the plus side, as my business expands, I can tell you who definitely will not be couriering my parcels. I wouldn’t trust them to deliver a newspaper, let alone anything of value.
If you’ve read this far, go elsewhere for your courier needs: anywhere will do. This is the absolute bottom of the barrel, so it’s only up from here.”

“First they didn't follow instructions no call, did not buzz or come to my door, instead gave my package away to the first signature available. And now I have to wait 2 hours to have have someone call me back so I can put in a claim for my things. “I had a parcel shipped through DHL. I was sent an invoice to pay of 42,500tsh which I sent, on the day it was meant to be delivered the DHL agent told me he made a mistake with the invoice it was wrong I should send an additional 222,748tsh meanwhile the value of my products is 146 usd which is 338,574tsh I knew this wasn’t right so I asked the agent to give me a refund of the first amount so I could clear the goods myself he refused and said I should first pay 100,000tsh to DHL to get my documents to clear my goods myself and write a letter before I can receive my refund. Till now my goods are stuck because of the mistakes from DHL. I do not recommend DHL to anyone it is the worst of the worst.”

I am absolutely disgusted to be told today for the 4th day running that my parcel was not scanned onto your delivery drivers van and therefore will not be delivered.
My parcel was supposed to arrive on Monday and they attempted delivery an hour before the alloted time. It could have been left in the reception, but no, they took it to Runcorn Depot.
I have called twice a day every day since, only to be told by your customer service team its not there fault and they will send a message onto the depot to find out why it wasn't loaded onto the van.
I believe you have either lost or damaged the parcel and this is why it hasn't been delivered.
It is a absolute shambles, constant lies and unfulfilled promises. Your company is causing me a lot of distress and it truly is not fair.
I was promised yesterday my parcel would be given a priority slot for delivery today and it hasn't made it onto the van again. I am extremely upset about this.”
“If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the most ridiculous delivery company that ever existed they should not have soo many affiliations with soo many other companies such as O2. Whatever system they use to navigate and find addresses should be burnt. “The delivery person did not buzz my door and did not call my number (I put up a note on my apartment main entrance with my phone number). Got a text saying “attempted delivery, but no one was home”. I was home the whole day waiting for the package. The delivery person probably didn’t even show up in my apartment. I got really mad. Called the customer service to complain. The call rep said she was able to get in touch with the delivery person and he/she will try to deliver my package again the same day. Never happened although I stayed at home waited until after 8pm.”

“Delivered an empty box just with an invoice. I ordered trainers from footlocker. The delivery was late and them when it arrived my items were not in there! Driver took photo of parcel on the door step. The other side was open ! When I went back out to shout the driver he jumped in his van and left very quickly with out speaking to me. When I contacted dhl the man was very rude and said I dont think the driver would risk loosing his job to steal a pair of trainers. Well he certainly has! “Had a parcel due to be delivered FRIDAY he didnt deliver it and delivered roads away from mine so I contacted DHL Twitter support. The guy on Twitter confirmed the driver knew he made a mistake last time and will deliver today. The driver failed to deliver and tried to deliver even further from my house. So I phoned customer service anad the Driver then was told by his depot to redeliver. The driver didn't make the effort to come back so I had to phone AGAIN.
Lady said she would phone me back in 15 minutes and didn’t phone back I had to phone back 40 minutes later. Happened previously in December and had to go to the depot to pick it up that was in Sittingbourne and I’m in Chatham. I was promised a phone call back off 2 separate customer service representatives last night and both of them didn't make the effort to call me back. I have lost 2 days of work due to not being able to have my product. I have angry customers and potential loss of work. Ih ad to go to a parcel shop due to not being able to afford to take additional days off work. I don’t drive and the parcel shop isn’t near my house. Therefore I’m going to have to carry a parcel, that I don’t know how heavy it is home.
Will never be using this company again.”
