“This place is a complete and total rip off. I bought a Wrestlemania 41 ticket, and it cost triple for their personal fees. I got a significantly better one on Ticketmaster, and when I tried to sell my Stubhub one, the transfer failed and I never got my money back.”
“This was my first time trying StubHub and I bought 2 tickets for an NBA game. I bought them in November and the game was in March. I’ve purchased online tickets before from other ticket sellers and have never had a problem…So, I naively thought I could just show up to the venue, show my ticket, and watch the game. Needless to say, when time came for us to show our tickets - first of all, you can’t even access them through the StubHub app, you have to transfer them to the Ticket Master app, and then my tickets weren’t even there. When I would tell the people checking tickets I was using StubHub they just rolled their eyes and made a big “Oh no.” That tells you the reputation StubHub has out there. I wish I had known because it would’ve save me the headache! Anyway, I ended up buying tickets at the ticket counter (way better seats for less money, mind you) and thought I could just call the next day to get my refund. WRONG. They kept throwing their “legal document” in my face about how a buyer needs to call FROM the VENUE to be able to get a refund - even though the legal document ACTUALLY says a buyer is ENCOURAGED (not required) to call…needless to say, after talking to like 3 different people and them saying my issue had been “escalated” (which I think it just sat there), still no refund. I will never use StubHub again, and you can make the decision for yourself, but I’d strongly suggest NOT using StubHub to save you the embarrassment and frustration for yourself and lack of care from StubHub customer service.”

“Terrible experience. Ordered MLB tickets in February, game was in April. Tickets never had a barcode for entry. Come to find out that the seller not only sold to us, but turned and re-sold the same seats 2
Other times. Stub Hub was contacted over 12 hours before game time and would not make things right. My credit card was charged of course. Will never use them again.”
“I bought my ticket for Carin León back in November 2024 for the show on April 11, 2025. The day finally came, and starting at 9:00 AM, I was on the phone with StubHub. They kept telling me I’d receive my ticket by 2:00 PM Pacific Time. I waited all day. 8:00 PM came and still no ticket.
They told me they would send me a replacement ticket. I waited another hour, and then they told me there were no tickets available at all. I asked to speak to a manager or someone from administration, and I was told there was nothing they could do.
I missed the concert I had been waiting months for. This was the worst customer service and overall experience I’ve ever had with any ticketing service. StubHub completely failed me.”

“I wonder how one can sell a 61 dollar ticket to 300 dollars and Stuhub charges 80 something dollars and I ended up paying nearly 400 dollars for s 61 dollar ticket - which I just realized upon receiving the ticket. Is it even legal?”
“As much as they say they are, Stub Hub is not an authorized reseller of tickets in the UK. They make no effort to verify the tickets being sold on their site are legitimate. We tried to attend a West Ham game in London and the ticket office was filled with people just like me who had purchased tickets from Stub Hub and couldn't get into the game.”

Money for tickets for an event that was cancelled. Sent proof to stub hub that the event was cancelled and they still have not changed the status of the event. No supervisors are ever available to speak with.”
“I bought tickets on StubHub and got an email to confirm that I had received them. When I got to the event, the tickets were nowhere to be found and would not upload my Ticketmaster. It is almost as if I had never bought them. They were not on my app and I did not scan them or use them. I had to buy an entire additional ticket from a different website as I was checking in. When I called them, they said there was no way they could give me a refund at all despite me never having used the tickets. Won’t be buying from Stubhub again.”
“Didn’t receive tickets in time. Agents were helpful but left out KEY information on the refund process. Case was escalated and I had an agent named, Maria, tell me it was my all my fault. Invest in more training!”
“I bought tickets off stub hub that are mobile tickets but stub hub did not inform me that I would not be able to get my tickets until the game day ( not even guaranteed). I wish they were more clear because if an emergency happens, you can’t rely on having the tickets or ticket seats to be able to sell them prior. If you do try to sell, they ask for a code that they don’t even provide you with. I won’t be able to know the seats. Also, they price their tickets differently, my fiancé and I checked the same tickets out and they were more expensive on his app.”
“I sold my tickets to a concert in October that was unfortunately cancelled but rebooked 5 months later. Not only have they held my money for that entire time, they then cancelled the payment back to me after the show in March until I gave my SSN, which doesn’t feel safe. Now they’re telling me that it takes 13 calendar days for my money to get to me. I just want my money without the unnecessary delays.”
“I bought tickets to an NBA game. With 1 hour to the game starting (7PM), I still hadn't received the tickets I purchased despite assurances from StubHub customer support it would come through.
With 45 minutes to go, I got an email saying the seller couldn't be contacted and they offered me alternative tickets or a full refund.
Whilst that sounds like a satisfactory outcome, the alternative tickets were worse in terms of view and position inside the stadium. I was urged to choose quickly as the alternate options disappeared, presumably to other clients also scammed by StubHub.
I could have taken the full refund but I had travelled to the game and alternate ticket sellers like Ticketmaster and StubHub itself were now double what I originally paid.
When I asked to escalate the complaint, I was told there was nothing they could do.
Do better StubHub and for anyone reading this - avoid them.”
“I waited all week to get my tickets on the day of. My husband and I were traveling to another state to see the event. We were left in the dark until 12pm the day of the event. Our seats were moved farther than where we were initially. Granted we received compensation but our seats were horrible. I couldn’t see at all.”
