I will not buy anything from Appliances Direct until they get a new courier ARROWXL treat customers like morons they insult our intelligence with their excuses for not delivering goods on the time and dates that THEY have arranged by text and emails. Many customers take time off work for these deliveries. I have no problem with Appliances Direct.Anne

The oven was for my 84 year old mum and it is a good oven however we couldn't find the instructions until the grill was switched on and the instructions went on fire!!! They were tucked between the grill element and the roof of the oven!!!! I had to download a new set from the internet as no one got back to me when I complained. Delivery was a farce. We were told there would be a 3 hour time window advised the night before delivery date. I received a text message at 8.15 am on delivery day to tell me the delivery time window was between 7.30 am and 9.30 am (2 hours not 3) giving us just over 1 hour notice. I then received a call from the driver, to say he was 20 minutes away, on my mobile when it should have been my mum's home landline they should have called. Then when I was checking my email I had received a message at 9.33 am to tell me the time window was 7.30 am to 9.30 am!!!!!! Rubbish delivery service I'm afraid. I suggest you review who you use. It makes you look bad.

took a day off work as told it was coming on certain day only to be told by the courier that the washing machine had not even arrived with them. had to take the following day off and await a text from the courier for the arrival of the machine NOT SATISFACTORY. No appologies from the company cost me two days holiday

Ordering the goods was very good. The delivery was really bad. I was told I had a three hour gap. I was told it would be delivered between 10.15 and 12.15. I was tracking it and before I left work at 12.30. it said it would be between 12.35 and 13.15. when I got home I received a message saying it would be 2hours before I would receive the cooker, this was at 12.35. it hadn't come at 4pm so I rang them to be told the van had broken down. Then about 10 minutes later I received a call to say it wouldn't be getting delivered till the following day between the hrs of 7.15 and 9am. At 7.55 I received a call saying they were stuck in traffic. I said it had to be there before 8.30 as I had to go to work. They said that if I wasn't there they would reshcedule. I said that was unacceptable.it was delivered on time but i think the customer service was really poor.

Staff on the phone were helpful, but I didn't receive a message confirming delivery till the day when it should have been the day before. We paid for packaging to be taken away but it was left with packaging still on.

Had to wait nearly a week for delivery, when the cooker did turn up the packaging wasn’t taken off and disposed of (for which I had paid for). I went to install the and a power cable was not included, which meant my kids and I had to go another few more days without cooked meals.

Packaging was completely crushed and ripped. I just hope the item works but not having it fitted until next week.

I paid for next day service on a Friday and did not receive my purchase until the next Monday. No refund, no acknowlegement, nothing. Very poor and it's almost like stealing my money.

I ordered a freezer, they could not deliver next day and when it did arrive the thermostat switch stuck so I could not move it. Had to call someone out to fix it. I did write to Appliances Direct to tell them about my disappointment but they did not offer any compensation.

I paid for specific delivery day but it didn't arrive, I did online chat 3 times over the next two days and no one could really tell me what had happened. Eventually arrived 3 days later. I received just postage refund which I thought was insufficient for the amount of inconvenience.

Sent faulty wine cooler, two courier collections cancelled and finally a grumpy courier collects it. A week later and AD have not received cooler and have not told us when they will send us a working wine cooler. Used them before and were excellent, but based on this experience cannot recommend them.

Very poor communication, need to be more upfront regarding deliveries to upper floors before purchase, not one day before with no customer service in place.

Paid for next day delivery and ordered before the deadline but arrived the day after. Needed the item urgently so ordered from this company. I will order from the high street stores (Argos) next time. May cost a little more but at least I will have the item when needed.

I bought an Aether Cone Bluetooth speaker from Appliances Direct. It was advertised as the best speaker ever! The price was around £30 which was a huge reduction from the original price of over £300. I received it and it did not work. No matter what Bluetooth item I tried to connect it with it just didn't connect. It looks fantastic. But it doesn't work. I contacted Appliances Direct by email and the reply stated, "We've received your message. We'll get back to you within the next ten days." Nobody got back to me so I mailed again. Appliances Direct replied informing me to "contact the Manufacturer as it was their problem". UK Law doesn't work like that at all. It is the responsibility of the Supplier, not the Manufacturer. I emailed once again and informed them of UK Law and sent it to their Managing Director... Appliances Direct replied almost immediately telling me they have just refunded the cost of the item to my PayPal account as well as instructing me to dispose of the item as I wish. They do not require me to return it to them. This resolution was most satisfactory to me but, why didn't they refund me or even answer me sooner? I took three months from the time I received the item to the eventual resolution. The email address for the Managing Director is: nick@buyitdirect.co.uk

The product. Is fine. However, the delivery (by DPD) was abysmal. No delivery was made on the appointed day or time. Despite this the delivery firm claimed to have attempted delivery and left a card. This was untrue. I then opted to collect from a delivery point. This was constantly delayed.. Again I was told I had requested this but again this was untrue. Package eventually received a week after original delivery date. Will not use this device again.

Item ordered on 16/12/17 but not received until 2/1/18. A total of 17 days wait after having paid around £15 for delivery.

Appliance delivered the next day, but no email or call to confirm delivery window (as is promised on the website), we had to chase them - very poor. Appliance couldn't be installed by them as the inlet hose has a big component attached to it and didn't fit in the existing units - wasn't their fault but wasn't clear on the manufacturers website either. I think that if the appliance cannot be fitted, but the customer has paid for this up front, then the cost of installation should be refunded.
