Purchased a kitchen hood from them, was dispatched fairly quickly but their courier service (DPD) was a massive let down. My order was delivered to the wrong address and I was told that it has been delivered. If it wasn't thanks to the third party's phone call who had my kitchen hood, I would be waiting for a lot longer. I was told that they'll go back, collect it and deliver it to on the same day which it did not happen and I was promissed the next day delivery. Next day I was waiting for the delivery, I got message confirming the delivery slot to be 11:31am to 12:31pm. I moved my shift to late afternoon, in order to collect the hood. I was at home till 13:15 and it didn't show up. They apparently arrived at almost 18:00 hours, while I was at work. After a lot of phone calls, I eventually got the hood the next day but the installation mount and filters that I ordered were missing. Got in touch with customer services again and a less than helpful assistant told me that I have to wait for it to be investigated before I get the spare part and there is nothing that she can do. Somehow I got the filters the next day, after few days of waiting, I had to get in touch with them again. Customer assistant over the phone was at least polite and friendly. She told me that she will send their parts department an email to see if the part that I'm after is available (I wish the other assistant who opened the case would do the same). The next day I had a message to say that the part is not available and I can have a refund or replacement( great solution after almost ten days of waiting for a kitchen hood). I had to pack everything to be collected before I did receive my replacement. Very lengthy, unpleasant and stressful process for a simple online shopping. Got my £15 delivery charge refunded to me but I don't think I'll use them again.

Not very impressed. Ordered a wine fridge on 19th Dec because they were the only company stating next day delivery and pre-Christmas. Ordered and the confirmation said 28th Dec. I rang up to complain only to be told that I could either cancel or stick to 28th Dec. I chose the latter as I needed it for 31st Dec. On the 27th morning I get an email to confirm delivery the 28th, only to get another email later that evening saying due to no fault of Alliances Direct delivery had moved to 5th January. Wine fridge arrived and it seems okay. But I won't be using Appliances Direct again. They need to review their advertising!

You can find good deals on appliances direct's page but the delivery service is awful, I've been charged 5 pounds for delivery and they've given me a delivery slot from 8am to 6pm, waste a hole day to wait for my item. DX DELIVERY ARE THE WORST

I paid extra for next day delivery, I was given notification of my 1 hour slot 1hr and 20 mins beforehand by a 3rd party. I was unable to receive my delivery and appliances direct had blocked all delivery options other than it being delivered again the following day. As I had paid for next day delivery as I needed the product quickly I was obviously dissapointed with this pathetic service. I tried to call AD for help but they were no help and passed me back to the 3rd party who fortunately were helpful. I managed to get my parcel at 7.30pm that evening as I drove to collect from the 3rd party. Why did I pay for delivery AD?

Order a tv for delivery next day at an extra cost, got an email. From appliances direct to say delivery on the Friday AND a communication from panther couriers to say delivery booked for Saturday. Many calls to both later I am told APC delivering my tv and on the Friday, did it arrive Friday....no!! so waited in all day and paid AD for the privilege. Re wives a message from Panther to say delivery Saturday which was when it arrived. Great item but from some reviews AD are regularly selling next day delivery where it goes as mine has with no recompense. I emailed their CEO so far no reply so cannot recommend this company as being a good experience to deal with. I contacted them by chat, phone and email and still they maintained my delivery was coming Friday, since it became apparent it wasn’t going to be so no one from AD has been in touch. Very poor customer service to lie to a customer but I will just vote with my feet and share my bad experience with everyone.

The delivery date which had been confirmed with a phone call was changed the evening before the delivery by email and I had to wait another 2 weeks for my fridge freezer.

Bought Hotpoint double oven September 7th this year. 2 weeks later timer display kept flashing when oven had been on for 29 minutes. I was worried oven would cut out and would not be able to complete cooking especially with Christmas coming up. I have been amazed to see that contrary to sales of goods act the seller appliances direct will not deal with this matter and I have had to go through Domestic and General to get a Hotpoint engineer and been subjected to hard selling of an insurance policy which I have refused. I am entitled to a replacement double oven from the people I contracted to buy from . I would not buy again from this company.

Never have I come across such bad customer service. I ordered a fridge freezer and had to wait about two weeks for it to be delivered and when it arrived my wife check the fridge freezer. About 10 Minutes after the delivery men had left she opened the freezer door which came off in her hand yes the door had not been put onto the Freezer Correctly. We called Appliances Direct and asked for a replacement. Appliances direct response was that it was our fault, yes the customers fault that the freezer was broken as we has signed for it and there was no way of us being able to return the freezer. Yes it was delivered broken (I think they may be in breach of the sales of goods act 1979). Now I have to wait over a week for someone to come to my house and repair a brand new Fridge Freezer. So if you don’t like stress and very bad sales practices stay well clear of APPLIANCES DIRECT.

Not impressed with the level of service, ordering was fine, but not delivered on day specified which was a major issue as it was for a day nursery and access has to be pre arranged. When I chased had no call, or apology the least I would expect is extra discount for my engineers wasted time.

My complaint is about supply and delivery. I had three delivery dates each one pushed back a week because of supply to your company. I had to cancel an electrician twice! The third delivery was comleted and the delivery people were excellent

Microwave was advertised on site as a 700 watt model, but after over cooking several dishes, discovered it was in fact a 1000 watt model

I think “next day delivery” is not worth it ordered it on a Friday evening and it came on Tuesday following week- when I questioned this I was just told that it’s basically right but I don’t see how you can advertise next day when it doesn’t come next day or even the day after that so that was disappointing. If you want to keep up with competitors I’d suggest you change this.

Payed for next day delivery to then be told the following day nothing was available. Offered half a refund! Then told once again next day delivery only for it to arrive four days later.

My gripe is with the installation service (farmed out to Arrow XL). My new washing machine starting leaking heavily in the second wash. I tried to get them back, but no one contacted me as promised and I called out a plumber who explained the water pipe connection was moronic and guaranteed to come loose. I'm happy with my new machine, but if you order from Appliances Direct, don't pay for them to install it.

We ordered a tumble dryer and paid for next day delivery, and Appliances Direct quickly confirmed this. However, later that day we had an e-mail from the couriers to say the delivery would be made a day later. We phoned Appliances Direct, who apologised, and refunded the next day delivery charge, and confirmed that the unit would be unpacked, installed to assure us that the unit was working and remove all packaging. Panther did not do any of these things, they delivered the unit to the back door saying they were not responsible for taking the unit in the house. My wife (who was on her own that day) had to unpack it, install it, and the packaging had to be taken to the skip site. Appliances Direct were fine, but they seriously need to reconsider their courier.

Appliances direct is not the main problem, its the delivery service they use... ARROW what a tin pot outfit!! Fridge delivery date Tues 11th Sept 2018, my partner took a day off work, received a phone call from ARROW @ 7.15am our fridge not coming there was not enough room in the van.... re-booked for Sat 15th Sept, received a message fridge to be delivered between 10.00am - 12.00pm.. I waited in all day!!! received a phone call at 4.30pm, the delivery van broke down @ 10.15am & I would not be getting the fridge until Sunday..... Sunday morning the lads finally turn up, after taking my old fridge they dropped off my new one, but refused to unpack it & take the packing away, even though I had paid extra for the service... as stated earlier, a TIN POT OUTFIT!!! Appliances direct "you have to stop using this delivery courier" or you will loose customers...
