Waited for a parcel all day, got an email email saying it was refused??????? there was no attempt to even deliver it...I know because I was in!....an absolute joke of a company and would never use them again. If you don't want to deliver it then bloody tell me and I won't waste a days holiday waiting and will collect it myself.

Waited in for my parcel only to receive an email stating that they could not deliver because no one was in. Nobody has attempted any delivery & this is the second time in a few months this has happened to me with this company.

Absolute disgraced in name of courier companies, I think all online sellers should boycott using DPD. I mainly do online shopping and get deliveries to my work address, which is manned 24 x 7 365 days. Most of the time if there is delivery or collection from DPD they mark it as unavailable or some silly excuse.

I ordered a product from Made.com. It was meant to arrive yesterday, I was reviewing the app which is supposed to inform you of the location of your parcel in real time. At one point it said that the parcel was a few hours away, then I got a message saying 'sorry we were unable to deliver your parcel as no one was in'. The same thing happened again today! This is not the first time I have experienced this with DPD. I absolutely hate when I find a company uses DPD's delivery service. I have just rearranged through their customer service and have scheduled the parcel to be delivered to a local shop. Hopefully, it will arrive.

Four times I have ordered a desk and four times it has failed to turn up due to DPD. If that wasn't bad enough today my wife pointed out to me there was a van outside I looked out and saw a hire van but the man was wearing DPD uniform I saw him in the back of the van shut the door and face our house (it turns out he was taking a picture of our house) He then drove off. I then get an e-mail to say that we weren't in!!!!!!! ANGRY is not the word! They then send me a nice picture of my house and say he left a card (he didn't) When you e-mail their customer services you will get these responses, an apology, or a bigger apology, or a repeat of the tracking information and that is it! They wouldn't know customer service if it hit them in the ....!I still haven't had my desk and this has been going on since the 28/12/2017. You only have to see the feedback on this site to see what a farce this company are! I am trying to set up my own business where I will be sending out hundreds if not thousands of parcels a year, and this company definitely won't be getting any business! Completely and utterly useless!

Today I had a terrible experience with DPD, I've placed an order, and requested express delivery for next day, as I am not working. I have their Android application to track my item. I was up early waiting for my packet, I've seen the delivery status, when suddenly a message comes up, that they could not deliver my parcel, as I was not home, and a picture of a gate, which is not mine. I've called them immediately so they can deliver to the proper address, They could not get a response from the driver for hours. It is kind of pathetic that they cannot communicate with their employees. My address was 100% right as we double checked with the customer service, and I've tried that if I will rearrange the numbers in the ZIP code than it will be the wrong address. Then I've asked if they could refund the extra money I've paid for express delivery, but they refused to do it so, that I have to claim it from the seller. I am really disappointed with their service, and quality of communication. They should really focus on improving the communication with the drivers, implement an online system with important messages, or so if they are not able to use the phone. Now I had to choose a pickup point to get my parcel as I am working from tomorrow which will cost me extra time, and money to get my package. :-(

I would assume that many -- if not most -- DPD deliveries work out as planned. Other deliveries do not; they turn into nightmares. In general, the strength of a delivery mechanism is tested when things go wrong. Recently one of my parcels was held at DPD's Edinburgh depot for more than three weeks, for no apparent reason other than incompetence, lack of human decency, and systemic failure. I've made call after call and got nowhere -- one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. DPD customer care people promise you the world, while in reality they do nothing, absolutely NOTHING. Are they instructed to *act*? Probably not. There is no system in place for taking care of a customer or a delayed or missing parcel. But it's not only DPD that shows these traits of utter incompetence and disrespect. Other parcel service companies are just as bad, or worse. One wonders, why are delivery companies so bad right now? The main reason is the rapid increase in online ordering and its massive effect on the outdated mechanisms and infrastructure of the delivery companies themselves. Everyone in the delivery system is stressed out and underpaid. Pushed to their limits, drivers, handlers, supervisors, managers, and IT can't cope. They cannot keep up. They are drowning in an avalanche of work and failure. This makes them cynical, angry, and depressed. Instead of hiring more and better staff, DPD UK resorts to lies, cheating and cutting corners. Maybe an effective strategy in the short term; in the long run, DPD is digging its own grave. Just isolate a few hundred of DPD's 5-star reviews and do an n-gram on them. Linguistic forensics demonstrates that over 90 percent of these so-called reviews are almost certainly penned by the same person. With the highest probability, the majority of good reviews is fabricated. Taking this dishonest route is a bad managerial decision. Encouraging customer care staff to lie, and counteracting negative reviews by fabricating good ones, is not a good idea. It undermines people's trust. Delivery mechanisms depend on honesty and trust. Once the trust is gone, postal systems go down. Can DPD UK still be saved? I think it can, but it would require immense restructuring, from top to bottom, and the creation of an entirely new ethos, an ethos of honesty and responsibility.

I got a message saying that my parcel was not delivered, because I was not at home. I was at home and the bell works. The driver did not ring the bell. I now have to take another day off work so I can be home, but there is no guarantee that the driver will ring the bell next time.

DPD claim that driver couldn't find delivery address(only 4 business addresses on that postcode) and returned to the depot with the package. Apparently it was scanned at the depot on the 20th of December when driver returned. There is no sign of the parcel since then. It seems that they managed to make 50cmx 50cm x 50cm package weighing around 30kg disappear. Contacted their support line and they said they raised a search and after chasing them i got information that the parcel was lost telling me to claim compensation through the sending company. Sending company contacted them a week ago and didn't have any response in regards to compensation for the lost package. Terrible company. Avoid at all cost.

DPD have made my last four days an absolute misery with their incompetence and lies. I waited at home ALL day on Monday (my ONE day off having worked 12 days in a row for the NHS) awaiting collection of my parcel so that my phone insurance company could replace it. However they never came and had the cheek to claim that they had attempted to collect, even though myself and my sister were home all day (and the postman came and used the buzzer which works fine). I then had to call and wait half an hour to be connected, after which the assistant accidentally ended my call. I then had to call again and wait ANOTHER half an hour only to be told that the driver "attempted" collection. Lies. I also asked to speak to a manager who was unavailable and was dealt with by an extremely rude and unhelpful phone operator. I've since had to arrange collection from my place of work where they have also been "unable to collect as the parcel isn't ready" again, I find this unfathomable as the parcel has been ready since Monday. It is now Thursday which means I have been 4 days without a working mobile phone because DPD are unable to collect my parcel. Utter disgrace.

After waiting in for 2 days with no attempt of delivery as my door bell didn't ring once. I decided to rearrange me delivery for the third time. This time I did it as 'leave in a safe place' 1. Because I wasn't sure if I would be in. 2. So I could leave clear directions of how to find my flat. So clear that even a five year old could understand and because your driver is clearly in capable of reading a map. 3. So I could leave my phone number in case your driver was still unable to follow simple, basic instructions. Well surprise surprise I'm still having problems. I get a notification today from the DPD app saying that my parcel had been delivered and signed for by myself. Strange as I wasn't at home at the time.... I get home to find that there is no parcel not even a note through the door. Obviously this isn't right so I ring your customer service team. To begin with I was told that the parcel had been delivered to a different address but signed for in my name. I then get told that the parcel has not been delivered, the driver still has my parcel but forged my name and signed it off as delivered... After hours on the phone to yourselves and speaking to 4 different people I finally start to get somewhere. I have now been told the driver is on his way back to deliver the item now. An hour and a half later im still waiting. If this problem is not resolved by the end of the day I will be reporting this company for fraud as your driver has clearly signed for the parcel in MY name with no permission from myself and I am also considering reporting for theft as it seems to be the driver has no intentions to deliver and is signing off packages as delivered so he can keep it for himself. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Couldn't deliver a parcel to Norway because they did not give me the information I needed to complete the necessary documents. Returned it to me and it has taken over 3 months to refund me the postage. Wouldn't answer emails and cut me off on online chat. Only way to get the refund was to use 'Resolver'; an online assistant in these matters.

They basically lost my parcels. Ongoing issue for 3 months. Two of the three parcels got sent back for no apparent reason only to get lost after sending them again. Contacting the custumer service was a mixture of "I'm sorry" and "expect an update in 2 working days" (spoiler allert: never got the updates). I shipped 3 parcels together on oct/2017 from the UK to Italy. Once they got to their destination I was notified of a minor error with the address. I corrected it and got confirmation that the correction went throug. A couple of days after that, one of the parcels arrived at the delivery address, while the other two got sent back with no explaination given. One of those 2 parcels arrived at the collection address after about a week while the other one was nowhere to be found. After a month contacting the live help service (which, by the way, is the only way to get in touch with them; don't expect a phone number or a funcioning email communication) and being told they were "looking into the issue" the other parcel finally arrived back at the original collecion point. After arranging another collection to ship the 2 remaining parcels, again, I was told to expect the parcels to arrive in a couple of weeks. Low and behold... They didn't. Only after contacting them I found out that they had a "failed collection" (?). I insisted that there was no issue regading the collection, as I literally gave the f***ing parcels to the delivery guy. Have been wating for a month now jumping from one "I will contact the internal department" to another with no actual answer. Explicitly asked if they could just call the delivery guy to find out what the heck happened. Apparently phones calls are not doable. Explicitly asked for a refund for the value of my parcels. Apparently I need proof of value of everything inside the parcels. Nevermind the fact that there were personal belongings I had with me for years. In conclusion: An absolute nightmare of incompetence and bad managing that ended up with stress, frustrated anger and 2 lost parcels. DPD1362621

I waited in all for a delivery that failed to arrive, then received a message claiming that a driver had called and left a card - completely untrue. I phoned M&S from where the item was ordered and received a new time slot for the next day. Same again. No call. No card. Email claiming driver had called and left a card. I have now phoned M&S to cancel the order, which was a present from my wife for my birthday. Thanks DPD!
