Garbage company. Avoid this company at all costs if you do not want frustration.

Paid premium for weekend delivery. DPD failed to deliver despite having the package. No reason given and now I have been forced to pay an additional premium to DPD to guarantee delivery by by 10.30am on Monday. Complete failure by DPD and no help from customer services in resolving the issue.

I know someone who works at DPD ('for an easy ride') and the stories I hear are unbelievable. Yes they do read these reviews, but more as a source of entertainment. There seems to be a very cynical attitude towards them and towards their customers - it seems that they really couldn't care less and will get paid no matter how bad their performance. They do not deserve your business. Do not waste your time or money.

I am exceptionally disappointed with this service. My experience has been the worst that I have ever encountered with a courier company, problems ranging from the customer service to the depot to the delivery staff. The obvious lack of interest in resolving queries and helping their customers would be a key concern of mine if I were a senior member of the company. The parcel had been due to be delivered for 3 days and each attempt of delivery had been to either the incorrect address or unable to deliver for a number of many ambiguous reasons. The address was explicitly stated and I contacted the customer service desk (which involved waiting on hold for approx. 30 mins) prior to delivery to ensure that the address etc was all in order. However, the package was not delivered. When contacting the customer service desk after each failed delivery, I was informed that I should receive a call within the hour to discuss the delivery - goes without saying that I never received a single call back. The address had been conveyed to the delivery driver incorrectly somewhere through the DPD package dispatch process and the customer advisor that I spoke to informed me that despite having confirmed the correct address, the package would repeatedly be delivered to the incorrect dress as this was DPD policy. The lack of initiative and desire to provide a service to their customers is shocking, and the inability to deliver a package to the right address - which has been provided on numerous occasions despite an internal error - is slightly worrying for a courier service of this century. I found dealing with this company so stressful and full of brick walls that I had to through a middle company. Good luck DPD, you certainly will not be getting my custom again and nor will I be recommending you to anybody that I know. In fact I will be strongly deterring people from using this awful and time wasting service.

It's a total waste of time complaining to DPD (you can tell what a mess they are in when you hear the condescending message that rewards you for holding for more than 30 mins to get through) Their service is useless. Their Customer Service is worse and just insults anyone with the smallest amount of intelligence. There is only one effective complaint and that is to complain to the sender of the parcel and if this is a supplier inform them that you will avoid buying from them if they use DPD - they will no doubt have heard this many times before.

Missed the delivery but driver left a card. Was invited by card to send reference code and card number to DPD to rearrange delivery. Tried to do so but kept getting message that the code or card number was incorrect. I only sent the numbers they gave me! Tried to phone but phone was not answered. Sent email to their complaints department and was promised reply within 90 minutes. Still waiting. William Hunt should use another transport company.

Would give minus stars if possible. I ordered an item from Chanel for a friend's birthday. I got a message saying delivery was 2nd November. I want online to amend this as her birthday is 7th I changed delivery to 6th. I got a message confirming the change. Today I get a message saying it's out for delivery today?!!!!!! Obviously customer option is a total and complete waste of time. I'm now holding on to speak to customer services. There's a nice condescending message from their Director at the start requesting that callers are not abusive to her staff. Wonder why that's necessay? Could it be because the whole system is useless? I would never recommend or choose DPD. In fact I intend to complain to Chanel and suggest they use a different company Now holding on for 9 mins for customer services who probably do not even exist.

Took day off work for a 'confirmed' scheduled delivery which did not arrive. I chased this up with an infuriating attempt to get through to any one at Customer Services ....waited 40 minutes to get through only to be cut off !!! Tried again - same wait and then after much repeating to someone who clearly hated their job ans had an attention span of a nano second and zero desire to help, they reluctantly looked into my delivery and informed me the parcel had been sent back to sender !! The next day after me contacting the sender and arranging a replacement to be sent the original parcel was 'attempted for delivery' but I was not in as I had not been informed !!!!!!! What a rediculous and totally unprofessional company this is - will they compensate for the waste of my time - of course not. Will they admit fault ? no judging from their Customer Services it is my fault for trusting them !!!! DPD seem intent on self destruction both messing the receiver and the sender around and then with disinterest and hostility seemingly blaming both for using their services !!! Dreadful company who should not be trusted' Sending and receiving a parcel should not be a lottery run by crooks (or Crookes as in Sinead Crooke - who bravely puts her head on the block by not remaining anonymous - at least we know who is responsible for their truly terrible and insulting Customer Services)

AVOID AVOID AVOID !! - This company are incredibly unreliable and their systems seem doomed to fail, Their Customer Service is beyond belief in that it is just so bad and can only further frustrate DPDs customers having to be insulted with lies and rudeness in their pitiful attempts to deffend the undeffendable . DPD fail on so many levels and seem to despise their customers and clients. Surely there is no future for a totally dysfunctional company like this as it continues to spiral out of control. The management needs to be replaced as they are clearly ineffective and the Customer Services Department has to be the worst ever - they are absolutely useless and very hostile in their indifference. Suppliers should avoid upsetting their customers with the unreliability and frustration that is DPDs norm.

So annoyed with this absolutely useless company. They clearly couldn't give a toss about their clients or customers and are just rude, cynical and dissinterested in helping - God only knows what their managers do to achieve such a useless 'service' in a very competetive market. They are so unreliable and then when things go wrong )which seems all to often) they just lie and fob you off/ They waste so much of their customers time sending meaningless messages and lieing about parcels being signed for when they have never attempted delivery to the correct address. Their customer services is the most dishonest, rude, confrontational and useless service I have EVER experienced. There seems a standard 45 plus minute wait to then be greeted by a recording by Sinead Crook - Head of Customer 'Experiences' I think !! instructing callers not to be rude !!!(what credible company does this ??!!) this is then followed by the opportunity to talk to the rudest, dishonest and ignorant staff who appear not to comprehend anything said - you give them DPD tracking numbers that they cannot find etc etc and in my experience on a number of occasions just put the phone down on me when they are unable to help. Try asking to speak to someone more senior and you are put through eventually to an even more agressive imbecile ....What is the training for these morons Sinead Crooke ? - you should be ashamed at the useless department you have and how much business you are loosing your useless company.

extremely unreliable, customer services 1st message is 'not to verbally abuse their staff' (or words to that effect) not a good omen, wasted a days holiday for a rescheduled delivery. checked tracking service which said still at Dunstable warehouse, kept checking until 6.15 when I called their customer services, who said it hadn't been scanned yet, that they couldn't find the item, that it may take 10 minutes or 5 days to locate it, and that I should call the supplier to let them know. Supplier is sending another item which hopefully will arrive next week...another days holiday wasted, DPD should pay for my time.

DPD are by far the worse delivery company I have ever used. Was advised my parcel would arrive. Nothing arrived. Took an hour and a half to get through to them to then be told to go and collect from the depot directly. Went and waited for an hour and 40 minutes to be told they couldn't find it. Got home to then have an email to go and collect the following morning at 8am. Arrived and low and behold, half an hour wait and no parcel! The company are a joke and no one that I dealt with knew what was going on or seemed to have an ounce of common sense. The main manager of the Bristol deposit whose picture was all over the reception area walked past us several times and made no effort to find out what was going on with any of the people waiting in the reception area who were as frustrated as me! Never use DPD!

Customer Services are just the worst ever. If they closed this department it would make little difference to the absolute shambles rthat is DPD. They seem to have absolutely no respect for their customers and clients reputation whatsoever. They act like a company that has just given up and know their days are numbered. They are an absolute disgrace and totally unreliable. They lie and are often extremely rude - if you can eventually get through to anyone to talk to. I strongly recommend that you avoid DPD - there are much better and more reliable delivery companies who care about their reputation and customers.

An extremely untrustworthy business. They attempted to deliver my parcel on Saturday, 27th October but said I was not home, despite me being home all day. They then re-arranged delivery for Sunday, 28th October without telling me. I was out all day that Sunday, yet they say I signed for it and left my package with a neighbour and left a note where I cannot read the writing of the driver. They also left me a voice mail which I cannot understand a word of. Each time i try to call and speak to a customer service advisor, I enter my parcel number and it comes up as delivered and signed for by me (again not true) and they cut my call off! Luckily Amazon have refunded me, but I still can't get through to DPD whatever I try as they have stopped replying to customers on Twitter (probably due to the sheer amount of complaints at their horrendous service). Will I ever find/get/see my package? I don't know. What I do know, is that I will avoid using DPD where possible, even if it means paying £10 more for another delivery provider as they are so, so bad and cannot be trusted. Couple that with a totally non-existent customer service and you have a recipe for a miserable customer experience.

Customer Services seem paid to lie and behave in the most rude and condescending way. Their job seems to lose DPDs customers. They seem to have little desire to be respectful or to try and resolve the many problems DPD obviously have. DPD seem unaccountable and disinterested in providing a reliable services. Their days must be numbered as no company can exist with no respect to its customers. SUPPLIERS AVOID DPD IF YOU VALUE YOUR REPUTATION !

DPD had my parcel but were not delivering it to me for two weeks and every time I checked in the website what is going on and every time I either call or email them, everything I got were promises of delivery on the next day. However, 5 lies (yes, 5) later my parcel was still not here, I wasted 4 full days to stay at home waiting for my parcel as promised by DPD. In the end they admitted they cannot find my parcel despite the updates show where it was the previous day and since they haven't tried to deliver it, it still should be there, but nevermind. So, after 8 days of waiting for my parcel they were then "searching for it", which takes "from 3-5 working days", so the only thing I could do, after calling and emailing them for that long, is to just forget about my parcel and prey that I am going to receive it this year at least. In the end, after contacting them by email and phone every day for 9 consequent days, DPD finally admitted that they damaged my parcel and apologised for that and said my only options now were to collect it myself from their depot or send it back to the sender, because "they can't deliver damaged parcels". They were about to deliver it to me earlier, which means my parcel was not damaged at that time and now it was. I went to pick it up myself to find my parcel in the worst condition possible. There was a HUGE hole on the bottom of my parcel, from where items were falling off as they were bringing it to me on a trolley. The hole was that big you could literally put both of your hands in at the same time. The original packaging was all damaged - tape was cut, the 2 plastic strips as well. They have tried to reseal the parcel with their own tape. I wish I could post photos here so you can see how I found my parcel. People, our parcels are handled in the worst way possible. I was even advised not to use DPD anymore by one of the DPD staff, which made me even more confused. I emailed them again for explanation and compensation for the distress, inconvenience, damaged parcel and almost all items inside, waste of my time and money, but my emails have been ignored - no ethics or customer rights matter for DPD, I have nothing more to say.

I just had a delivery driver come to deliver a parcel and didn't even knock on the door or ring the bell. The only reason I k ew he was there was that I heard his car door close and he drove off. I jumped in my car and tried to follow him but couldn't follow him in time and i lost him. I paid for next day delivery and came home from work to be in for the selected hour. I specifically needed the parcel for this evening and now I have to wait another day. Very lazy service, the missed parcel slip wasn't even filled out. You expect the driver to at least knock on the door.
