Update from the original review from end 2016 (unbelievably the service is getting worse) I am at a total loss for words... I will do my best to explain what has happened this evening and then proceed to publish this experience on as many customer feedback websites as I can possible find. I would like confirmation that this gentleman will not ever deliver (or fail to deliver) to my flat again as I no longer feel safe in my own home. I have paid for my much needed stock to be delivered next day and I receive an email confirmation stating it will be delivered 14:07 - 15:07. Just after this delivery window expires I check the DPD tracker again and it is now stating delivery will be 06:00 - 22:00. When this happens it usually means that my local Lambeth DPD office have no intention to deliver. As this has happened many times before I immediately ask the sender of the parcels to start chasing the delivery from there side as well as I really need them today as paid for and I also copy in DPD in the hope that they would take some pride in their service and try to get the delivery to me today. I hear nothing. Then at 20:07 I get a call from a delivery driver saying his van is at the main concierge desk and I have to come down to him to collect my parcels immediately 'or else I'm not going to get them'. I was still working at this time and had a client in my office with me as this call was taking place. I explained this to him and and asked again if he could please bring the parcels to my flat as I have paid for. He immediately escalated in a very aggressive manner calling me a 'stuck up fucking bitch' repeatedly and insinuating that I may not be safe in my own home as 'he knows where I live'. I asked for his name again and again and he has refused to give it to me and then begged him to wait at the main concierge desk as I desperately need my stock. I apologised profusely to my client who has had to listen to his screaming and swearing at me from my phone and ran down to the concierge. Again I've asked if he can bring the parcels to my flat as this is what I have paid for and again he started the insults this time including racist comments, insulting my weight (my bmi is a very healthy 23.8) and swearing at me in such an aggressive manner that I didn't feel at all safe and the police were called. The police call reference number is ****. After asking many times for the gentlemans name and with much persuasion from the concierge he eventually gave me a name of Imran Ahmed although I have no idea if he was telling the truth. He was not wearing the usual DPD uniform. I have passed the parcel number along with the phone number he called me on to the police who have just left me now in a state of complete shock and fearful of leaving my own home on my own. I have paid for failed delivery after failed delivery from DPD Lambeth since the end of last year. I have now been insulted, threatened and racially abused in my own home. I am lost for words that I am paying for this treatment. I am also losing clients and hence my income from the repeated failed deliveries. My client was so shocked to hear his screaming and swearing from my phone I'll be surprised if I ever see her again. How am I supposed to pay my rent? This is so wrong in so many ways. DPD I would appreciate a response for this repeated failure to complete the task you are paid to complete. I would appreciate assurances that this delivery driver will be immediately removed from this route and a route delivering to any female as being threatened, sworn at and racially insulted is frightening at best when you are a female at home alone. Original review: I've paid for for next day delivery of 2 parcels to arrive on Friday. My Driver Paul has both parcels. He drops 1 parcel with the concierge (he can never be bothered to bring parcels to my flat) as paid for and can't be bothered to take the other off the van so he sends me a message saying there was no one in to receive the parcel (I was in and the concierge is there 24 hours a day). He also sends a picture of a random door that is nothing to do with where I live and an obvious lie. He has delivered 1 of 2 parcels paid for and is too lazy to get the 2nd off the van. After a lot of back and fourth with customer service I am promised my delivery will arrive the following day. It is now the end of the following day and I am still without my parcel. Apparently it will now be Monday. Once again I have been lied to by DPD. I have experienced this repeatedly and complained repeatedly since November and we are now mid February. I am constantly fed a stream of lies by DPD who seem to think this level of service is acceptable. I can understand an odd mistake here and there but this is 1 delivery driver (Paul in Vauxhall London) regularly making up false reasons why he has not delivered a parcel. He has done the same with a number of parcels for my partner at the same address containing thousands of pounds worth of camera equipment after he has paid for a 1 hour delivery slot on a Saturday. Paul uses 2 lies repeatedly, that there was no one in (there always is) or that he couldn't find the address (he knows exactly where we are I see him here on an almost daily basis). Even more worrying is that DPD appear to think that feeding paying customers repeated lies is an acceptable form of service. It absolutely is not. I cannot advise against using this company in any stronger way.

DPD have provided a shocking service to me. The driver has committed what I consider to be an absolutely disgraceful service. Not even putting a calling card through my letter box and taking a picture of a different house not even on my road. When I called customer services surprisingly they could not help. I would never use DPD again and will not be shopping on amazon if they insist on using a company who blatantly lie that they have attempted delivery.

Worst fucking company on earth, numerous issues with delivery, and their support literally lies to your face about solving your problem, any company that uses this crappy company deserves to die along with dpd.

Rubbish! Can't contact them, deliveries just stand in a depot, totally inefficient, incredibly slow. Whether you're a business or an individual - avoid like the plague.

The company does not answer phone calls or e-mails. You have to use an automated service to change delivery and can only do it 7 days in advance. This was frustrating as I had an unusual situation I wanted to communicate about. Then finally, I was ready to receive the 2 parcels and was waiting in my shop during the notified time slot. I got a message about 1 parcel number saying the driver had been unable to deliver and had left a card. I got a murky grey and green photo which was supposed to say where the card had been left. There was no card anywhere. By chance I was outside looking for this card when I saw the van come, I called the driver and directed him to the loading bay. I wanted to ask about the 'failed' parcel number but he rudely said 'I don't need you standing here giving me parcel numbers, get back to your shop:' I told him there was no need to be rude. I wouldn't want to order anything to be delivered by the same guy again. I'm sure the job sucks, but if you can't deal with people pleasantly asking a question, you shouldn't do the job. On the bright side we did get both parcels in the time expected. Poor communication is my main complaint.

I was waiting for my mobile phone delivery today so took a day off from work and stayed home as I was going away next day for few days. I was tracking from early morning as I did not want to miss it. When I checked it for the 10th time my delivery was at number 32 and they were delivering 29 at that moment. So I thought they are going to be here soon and I was constantly looking at the door and checked if my bell was working. After half an hour when I checked the status, it said parcel sent back to the sender, rejected by Joana. I was totally shocked. Firstly, nobody named Joana or closest to that name lives in my house. And that day It was just me and my dad. Secondly, the doorbell did not even ring so how come it was rejected. I phone customer service straight away and I told the lady about this situation. After a long conversation, we came to a conclusion saying I will go and pick it up from the Southall depo as I will not be home for few days and I needed the phone urgently. The lady asked me to go to depo between 4 pm and 7.30pm. I reached depo at 7 pm and asked for my parcel for which the staff at the collection point said that they cannot track my parcel. I asked them politely how do I get it and they had no clue. So I asked for the manager. The manager came outside and said the same thing that there was no update and it was false information from the customer service. For me, the disappointing part was there was no sign of concern. They were not sorry and tried their level best to dismiss the conversation not help me at all. Apparently, the customer service lady did not let them know that I was coming to collect the parcel which I believe they did not want to give me the parcel. I freaking wasted my whole day, wasted my time, wasted my fuel to get to the depot and such a cold service from the people who so proudly called himself manager but not humble enough to say sorry. Sorry does not mean you are wrong and I am right. It is simply being sorry for the situation that I was in and I was so upset as I was going through so much of hassle for unnecessary things created by their team. I am quite surprised that some companies are not checking the overall rating of DPD and still using the service. They are ruining their reputation along with DPD. Well DPD does not seem to care, but companies should. Do not ever use the service. This is the second time I'm being disappointed with DPD's service. The first time they delivered our item to our neighbour when we were at home whole day waiting for them. USELESS DRIVERS OR STOP GIVING PRESSURE TO YOUR DRIVERS. May be they are taking shortcuts.

do NOT believe the fake 5 star reviews of this AWFUL company you may see on here! yes, they have a slick website, but they simply cannot be contacted! - all numbers go to auto response messages and NO human beings. if you check them out at Companies House (as DPD Group) you will see that they operate out of a Post Office Box of: PO BOX 6979, Roebuck Lane, Smethwick, West Midlands, Uk, B66 1BN and that during their history they have had 34 officers and 29 resignations. I discovered all this when I was irritated by their bad service ... as I write this review ( Aug 25th AM) I am awaiting a parcel delivered to them from Slovakia - it took one day to get from my suppliers to Oldbury in Birmingham. Then DPD sent it to Preston via Leicester (for god's sake) the Liverpool taking over 3 days! it is still in Liverpool - arrived at 01:22 am and is NOT showing as out for delivery and this was a VERY important parcel! ... one that I now am unlikely get until next Tuesday after the Bank holiday this is a journey of 197 miles - (126 if not via Hinckley) ...I could WALK to Oldbury in that time! I could not get to speak to anyone at DPD despite all my efforts no doubt some shyster will respond to this review with a load of bullsh*t but EVERYTHING I say is true the moral here is to TOTALLY AVOID DPD and to perhaps use the company that sent it from Slovakia to Oldbury in 1 day ... rather than DPD who seem likely to take 3-6 days to get from Oldbury to Preston area.

I've been waiting for 2 days from carphonewarehouse order and my parcel was held in the depot for no apparent reason and all they can do is to book a re-delivery for the next day. I should have just collected it from the store. Never again!

I would give zero stars if possible. My delivery was already delayed. I was then promised a delivery no later than 12 today (too late for my requirements) and despite a promise that this would happen they still didn't do it. Apparently because someone hasn't labelled it! Despite the delay, they have also refused to change the delivery so it now comes to my home (I could only pick up a today) and refused any compensation for delay Really disappointing completely unsuitable for urgent deliveries

The worst delivery company ever! Paid extra to have my phone delivered on a certain day as was traveling abroad the next day and it was my mobile phone I was waiting for so really needed it. So I got an email text saying delivery is on its way so waited in all day, then hours went by so checked online using the refreeze for it to say delivery not made as delivery driver could not find address??? So I rang dpd as this was pathetic the unhelpful lady/man on the phone said I'll contact the depot/delivery driver so put me on hold.... she said hi I've spoken to them he won't be making delivery today as he will be finishing late as he's behind on his rounds... I said you are joking that's not my fault and that is really unfair expecially paying for the service... so I'm still waiting for my phone hopefully it will here tomorrow if not I will be sooo effing mad! Thanks dpd your poo and most of your reviews say the same you are s**t.

They are the worst delivery company. They either deliver to wrong address (as has happened in the past) or don't deliver at all. Avoid.

This has to be the worst delivery service ever. I was due a delivery on Friday and they could not deliver although I confirmed where they could leave the parcel securely. They took a photo showing their aborted delivery but it was to the wrong address. Rearranged for the delivery for Monday, took the day off work, only to find that DPD did not put my parcel on the rota. The parcel is due for delivery tomorrow but I really do not hold out any hope. Amazon should review their supplier and not use a second rate service. This has to be the worst customer service I have experienced. It is a wonder that they are still in business.

This has to be the worst delivery company EVER. I sat BY THE DOOR for 2 days. My house has 4 floors and I am 63 years of age - needing to come down 2 floors when someone knocks at the door. No-one knocked - just put a card through, saying I WAS NOT THERE

Awful service, haven't received my order for a week! Dpd UK Delivery is the worst delivery company I have ever deal with, unprofessional and extremely careless. I suppose to receive the pascal 7 days ago, they could not deliver and they promise that they will deliver it the day after, from 8 in the morning and 19;00 in the evening I am waiting for the parcel, after I gave up I called them they said you have to contact the seller. What a stressful buy and wrong mistake to buy from such a seller. My advice it is not worth it, use Royal mail or other delivery companies guys.

I took a day off to collect a delivery schedulend between 13:33 and 14:33 on the 17th of August. The driver rang the bell at 13:30 didn't even wait for my reply, he took a picture of the door, and then went back to his van and ran away. I tried to run out on the road to stop but he completely ignored me. All attempts to contact DPD to ask the reason of such behaviour, failed. They don't have a phone number, and now I understand why. I tried to reschedule the delivery for the same day, without success. I was forced to reschedule for another day and I had to contact the sender and ask them to update the shipping address to my office because I couldn't take another day off because of a dishonest driver. The cherry on top was the email arrived at 13:36, three damn minutes later, stating there was no one to collect the delivery. Nth lie from the driver, the mail said he left a "calling card" which hasn't been left at all. I am seriously disgusted of all this.
