“Had an issue with a renewal payment due to my existing debit card running out; subsequently charged £20 for the missed payment. I would have cancelled the policy if it weren't for the ridiculous £60 cancellation fee. After this experience I wouldn't recommend using the company to anybody and I'll certainly avoid in the future.”

“I am still waiting for more than two months for a refund as I cancelled my insurance and I payed annual so they had to give me some money back. this is a joke. how long more I have to wait? pay monthly will be my advice”

“Had a phone call from dd in july 2020 saying someone had claimed i hit their , they had no registration, no name, no time, no street name, just a date. I informed them i had hit no one, had a further call 4 weeks later asking me bout incident, still no details, i told them go and do your job and find out who it is im supposed to have hit? Because there has been no incident. Never heard a thing so roll on oct for renewal, it was up by £60 so i got another deal with another insurer for a lot less and better policy online, cancelled with dd but when i tried to activate my nee policy it said I needed to phone them. They said their is a claim i didnt declare and the increase would be an extra £500 😳. I phoned dd and they said i would have to renew with them and a form would be filled in by them and sent off taking a few days to sort the mess out. Still waiting and being forced to have their insurance 😡😡😡”

“When you get a price from compare the market and click to buy, you are directed to the Dial Direct website. This asks you to add add-ons that are already included in the original quote. When you press the update price button, which you have to do to proceed, the price goes up. So as a result I no long have motor legal protection. Been using compare the market for years and its the first time I have seen this scam. Beware. Will go elsewhere next year.”
