The inability to contact Quotemehappy by phone and only by e-mail is ridiculous. They have lost me as a customer due to this. I bought a new car. I tried to change the details using both Firefox and Internet Explorer on my laptop so that I could have both my current car and the new car insured on 13/3/17 and then remove my current car from 14/3/17 and have only the new car insured. Firefox timed out and Internet Explorer waits for a response from QuoteMeHappy (but gets no response). I then tried the same on both my smartphone and tablet using Chrome with similar results. I sent an e-mail to QuotemeHappy Support(!) who merely replied to say there was nothing wrong with the system! I therefore had no choice but to cancel the insurance for my old car with QuotemeHappy (being charged £55 for this) and start a new insurance for my new car with a different insurance company. Whilst waiting for the e-mail reply from QuotemeHappy I had time to 'play' with their system and discover what it objected to, e.g. put certain values into the system and it's OK, put different valid (i.e. from the drop down list) values in and it crashes. This effectively means I was charged £55 for the fault in their system.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! THEFT! SCAM! Total thieves. Cancelled my policy on 12/03/16. Found out today that QuoteMeHappy had taken £240.10! Complained and they gave me a refund but still took £27.50! They said they took £27.50 as insurance was set to "auto renew". How can you renew something when I wasn't insured with you in the first place / cancelled over a YEAR AGO!!! TOTAL THIEVES! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! ABSOLUTELY 100% THEFT.

If I could give 0 stars I would, Let them know I was cancelling and they still automatically took this money outmy account and then charged me another 30 to cancel again. Awful service, they also have no phone number to contact them to discuss this, pure thieves.

My car was hit by a another vehicle that failed to stop. As I have a new car it has an after sales support system, Quote me Happy doesn't recognize this and stated that they would charge a further £250 on top of the excess they were already charging if I didn't use their approved repairer. So, they wanted to charge me more for using the repairer that was approved by the maker of the car, on top of this they couldn't guarantee that they would use approved parts thus lowering the resale value of my vehicle To add insult to injury the excess had itself already been inflated by clauses and charges hidden in the small print. Pure scam artists, don't use them

They took the money from my mother then refused to accept proof of NCD and threatened to cancel policy, because my recently widowed mother had been the second driver on a spousal policy (claim & incident free for 30+yrs), rather than the named driver. She is the paying client yet they make her do all the work while they do nothing. No call centre. Sent a selection of unhelpful email/texts to my mother but take 48 hrs to respond to any questions (the questions are limited to 178 characters too!!). Now they are saying she has to pay to get out. She will be taking the matter to the FOS. This is an awful company, but what did we expect from a company owned by Aviva - another set of incompetent morons! We would never recommend them.

Tried to cancel with these guys, no number to call have to email only (unless you have a claim) other then that they are a email only company. i have 11 years no claims and other (better insurers) want to see this from your last company, however this company only ever goes us to 9 years no claims and will not go higher and will not provide the proof of 11 years they emailed me back just saying "we only go up to 9 years as a company but if you speak to your insurer before us they may be able to provide it" this has now cost me another £50 for a new quote. Avoid Avoid Avoid....

I have never been so impressed with an insurance company in my like. Everything is made so easy, with prompt replies.

I obtained two quotes within minutes of each other. The first one was based on me being a UK resident from birth (by mistake) and the second one was based on me being a resident from 2001. No other answers changed. The quote was increased by £30! I queried it with them but they provided a generic answer and totally fobbed me off!

Awful, awful, awful DO NOT use. My car was stolen and found luckily by police just over a week later. The police had to write to me threatening to dispose of my car because my insurance company hadn't collected it. When they collected it, they actually damaged the car! Takes over 20 minutes hold just to speak to someone. Incompetent, rude, never call you back or provide any updates other than 'we don't really know'. Spend a bit more money elsewhere and save yourself the extreme headache. Am complaining to the Ombudsman over their conduct also.

I didn't have an issue with Quotemehappy until I had an accident. I didn't make a claim but the third party did. I was not told at any point the status of the case and had to call up to be told anything. I made a complaint as the accident was not handled very well and they admitted that. I lodged 2 complaints and heard nothing. I dealt with very rude call centre staff when I did call. I would avoid at all costs.

In my case, everything was quickly and efficiently. I did not have any problems. One month before the end of the insurance I got NCD. I can honestly recommend Quote Me Happy.

Do not touch them! Accident in March last year - I accepted liability and all was sorted out. I find out today from a firm of solicitors that the other party involved in the accident is making a personal injury claim. So I called the claims team at quote me happy who tell me that the claim was sent to them on the 18th May - So in 9 months no one from Quote Me Happy has told me about this claim - instead I call them because I get letters from solicitors for claims I knew nothing about! Appalling service save yourself the bother and pay a little bit more on your insurance to ensure you are well looked after!

I took out 2 car policies at the same time but did not get the multi car discount. I enquired how to get the discount and was told that I do not qualify as I should have used the link on the welcome e-mail for the first car to insure the second. As I did not do this, the second car does not qualify for the multi car discount and never will in the future as it was registered independently. I have never known such an inflexible organisation. I would advise anyone to avoid this company. I wish I had paid a higher premium and stayed with Privilege.

Do not use...they're impossible to communicate with. Tired to cancel my policy 6 weeks before end date...it was fully paid up. I didn't want a refund or anything like that just a simple cancellation but was told there was a £55 cancellation fee. I decided to just let policy run out and cancel direct debit as all payments had been taken. They emailed me straight away telling my to reinstate my direct debit...why!!?? I don't owe them anything?? Anyways emailed them once again and waiting for reply. It just doesn't work not being able to talk to someone on the phone when you have a problem.
