Returned clothing and received part refund. Send 2 e-mails over 2 weeks with no reply to get the rest of my refund. After several attempts to ring and getting cut off at number 3 in the queue after waiting around 20-30mins i eventually got through and was promised the rest of my refund. 2 weeks have gone by -no refund. Rang several times to yet again get cut off when down to number 2/3. I am currently number 11 again. Like previous customers have said they are keeping peoples money. I wont be buying again, but I will keep asking for Roman to return MY money

I sent a Red Glitter Hanky Dress back to them which I purchased from Ebay absolutely brand new labels attached. However the glitter kept shedding on other clothes in the wardrobe so I contacted customer services ( Re Messenger) who gave me the returns address so they could seemingly see the problem at the returns department. This was on the 21st June and I of course kept the certificate of posting. I now have heard from them and they say as the dress was an ebay purchase the problem lies between myself and the ebay seller. My argument is that this dress is a Roman Original and its the garment that I am complaining about as I needed to pack it in a suitcase and couldnt possibly as the material sheds glitter on everything else. they say they cannot help me at all and WHEN they have located it they will return it to me. I would have been happy to exchange it for another dress but no communication at all. I tried to phone them but on numerous occasions was 40th in the queue last time

I have been ordering clothes from Roman for many years, I have never had a single issue. I ordered £384 worth of clothes back in June, and I’ve not received a single item. I have had no reply to emails or contact form. I have tried ringing but each time I have not got through as I am 79 in queue , 80 in queue, 30 in queue et cetera et cetera

I have been waiting since the 4th May for a refund. There has been no response to my emails and the phone is permanently engaged. I will not buy from Roman again. I'm on a pension so can't afford to be out of pocket.

Their customer service is shocking. I buy a lot of their products but recently purchased a top which fell far short of usual standards. In fact after a few washes it was fit for nothing but the bin. Sent a complaint via website but weeks later no reply despite it saying they will respond in 48 hours. Not impressed at all.

Never received order. Took several a days for response to email and they confirmed lost in transit. Instructed them to resend - more days of absolute silence - then a partial refund sent to my account; a partial refund for an item they confirmed lost in transit.

Wish I'd read the reviews regarding refunds. The same as all the other reviews, dreadful service will definitely NOT be ordering from this company again.

I was sent the wrong size but only realised after I had cut labels tags off. According to website they reply to emails within 2 working days….6 days later and I’m still waiting. I’ve now been waiting to speak to someone for 37 minutes and I’m in position11. I really wish I’d checked reviews before ordering from them. They certainly won’t be getting any more business from me.

The clothing at Roman is great no problem but they are a dreadful Company when it comes to refunding items sent back and communications from them are dreadful. I am still trying to get a refund from an item that I purchased middle of May that never was sent and sending them correspondence twice a week. Never known another Company that is SO BAD AT COMMUNICATION AND REFUNDS!!!! Definitely making me feel I should stop buying from them!!!!

Still awaiting refund on item returned on 16th June. They do not reply to emails and phone is constantly engaged. Smacks of possible financial difficulties. Will definitely not be ordering from them again, especially after reading all the other reviews.

Customer service is non-existent. They don’t reply to emails and there is always an issue with the phone line. It took a month to get my refund. They also sent a faulty dress where the seams were sometimes showing on the right side of the garment - no response. I had already removed the tag before noticing so I didn’t want to send it back and lose out on a dress and the money I paid. Another dress shrunk 2 sizes. I left reviews for all 3 dresses and they were removed from their website within minutes, even though they were honest and polite reviews. The whole company screams “scam”, I’d avoid them at all costs!

Returned an item but had to go through Paypal resolution centre to get a refund. Roman didn't reply to emails although page states they will respond within 2 days. I tried 3 times. Phone line directs you website to send email. Took 6 weeks to get refund.

The top I had ordered was very shoddily finished off around the neckline with obvious tension problems and loose threads. In light of other reviews I have read I am going to keep the item as I’ve got Covid at the moment and have little energy todo anything about it. I will certainly not be ordering online from them again though and am very disappointed with this brand that used to be top knotch for quality. They need to get their act together before they lose more customers.

Eventually received my refund after 4 weeks, no email, no apology, no contact at all just by bank account credited. Don't know if it was the threat to report the issue to Trading Standards. Extremely poor customer service.

I too have the same issue. I ordered some items and returned 1 as it did not suit got an e-mail confirmation that a refund was being processed (dated the 8th June), as of yet no refund received. On the 8th of June I ordered 3 dresses which were all returned on the same day as none of them suited. No confirmation that Roman received them but Royal Mail delivered to Roman on the 13th June, no refund. I reported them to trading standards (they keep sending me e-mails to buy goods but have not refunded returned goods) as like other no response to phone call as the have had a phone outage since May!! And only an automated response no follow up. I also contacted my bank and raised it with them, my bank has temporarily credited my account while they investigate the matter. I am really disappointed as I have been ordering with Roman on almost a weekly basis for over 3 years and have never had any issues and any refunds were generally credited to my account very promptly. I look back all the reviews and this issue seems to have started in April this year. I wonder if they have been taken over by another Company or whether they are going into administration.

Still waiting for my refund. Roman should not be allowed to trade. They are keeping customers money on returned goods. I have now got to contact citizens advice to see what I can do. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Appalling customer service

Same as everyone else Roman sent a wrong size in the dress I ordered I tried to phone but got the message they were having problems with their phone provider and to e mail which I did 22/5. I then got the we will reply in 2/3 days 7 days later no reply so I sent item back then an e mail from the 1/6 saying sorry and to send it back and here is a code for 20% off next order (I think not !!). Still not received my £45 26/6 sent another e mail a few days ago asking where my refund was got the we will reply in 2/3 days still nothing!!! I have not raised a case through pay pal and also Resolver so fingers crossed. I am absolutely disgusted and disappointed with their service and will NEVER buy from them again

No issues with delivery but the dress was not remotely the same as the one in the picture. Not even the same material or colour and it was not a floaty cotton like on the picture, it weighed a ton! Didn't even try on and sent back. Having read all theses reviews I realise I am going to have to wait for my refund! My issue is that I gave a negative review of the dress on the website ( very politely) and this was removed almost straight away. I asked a question as to why my review had been removed and this was removed too! Does Roman only accept positive reviews? Worrying isn't it?

As with others. Returned a dress the day it was received. They have consistently failed to refund me. Eventually got an email saying the refund had been processed but still no money. I paid by PayPal so have opened a case with them. Roman Originals do not reply to emails, contacts via their site or Facebook and their phone is non operational. Disgraceful. I will never buy from them ever again.

I had also been waiting for a refund for some time and like other buyers I sent several messages to the company and tried to call but did not get any response. Eventually I got a message saying the return had been received but that’s as far as it went. I paid for the item via PayPal and so I contacted their resolution centre and opened a case, they have issued me with a refund. Hope that helps.
