“Really bad service and uneducated people working at Telkom. Every time we have to call Telkom its a misunderstanding or sorry we cant assist you.

“I got the worst service 😒 ever i called to blacklist my phone and they told me they'll send me itc number to date I haven't received anything and am told there's no record tht shows I called while every time they tell us the call is recorded and its available now they locked my phone and sim card am not able to open a case without the itc number and I must claim my insurance. How on earth am I gonna do that”

“I would like lodge a complaint about an account for a 10Gb (Daytime) + 10Gb (Night-time) product that was sold to me on the 24th of May 2011. (Account 068 011 3863)
This was sold and delivered to me with 2 sim cards.
After receiving it I got a call from them and asked why I had received 2 sim cards, upon which they replied that it was for me to use in a second device.
As I plugged this 1 sim card into my mobile device and used it, it did not seem to work for very long before the data ran out. I did bear with it for as long as possible but every time I connected to the device it would stop working soon after.
In the new year I decided I had enough as I was paying for a data that lasted only 2 to 3 hours and this is not what I was looking for.
Upon trying to get this cancelled I have since learned that I was sold 2 contracts, one of 1gb and one of 10gb + 10gb. Taking upon this I have paid for a contract for 7 Months and have not used a single mb as I only used the sim card that was used as NO instruction was given that the 2 sim cards are for 2 different contracts.
One that I wanted and one that I have been charged for but did not request or order.
Furthermore, as I cancelled this, the second account for 1gb was left and the first was removed so I can no longer use the 30GB (10 + 10 + 10 for 3 months carried over).
Today they send me a bill for both accounts and when I check on the online portal the two have been cancelled on the normal portal, and one cancelled on the other Beta Portal.
Then they charged me for another Payment Rejection fee which they decided to only add on in the last 2 days as I checked before I paid in January and have screenshots of outstanding with SMS’s of the outstanding and request to pay.
Strangely enough yesterday when I checked on the portal it reflected the amount that was paid and today it does not reflect anything. I might have a screenshot of that as well, if not I do have the conversation with the consultant though it only works in favour of Telkom and no one else.
Now they are expecting me to pay for 2 services that I no longer have for a month where I can not use them as they no longer exist or maybe do, who knows (depending on which portal you use)
To try and get hold of them is virtually impossible and all mail has been stopped and I suspect this is because then their clients might have proof of any interactions.
If they could please supply me with the mandate on this account (068 011 3863) with clear voice instruction where I was informed of this second account and what the 2 sim cards were for.”
“for the past 4 months they do not debit money from my account and they make it my problem. now my phone is suspended after I made contact and could not get through to the mobile department. left a message and no one contacted me, the next day they suspended my line. cannot wait to pay off the contract and cancel it. wouldn't recommend TELKOM to anyone and that 180 number they always say we should contact, you can never get anyone you can speak to there. I ended up contacting the 10210 number that is where the consultant said she will email mobile and let them contact me.”

“Telkom is the worse service provider you can find. I am currently a customer of telkoms for the pass 5 years and I am counting the days for my contract to expire so I can never do business with such thieves. The staff they have seem to have not passed primary school as there maths is absolutely atrocious. They constantly over charging your account and you can never get the money they steal from your account back. I dont understand why such a terrible thieving company can be left to continue running, my opinion they should be shut down before they continue stealing from more of there customers. I have currently moved all my accounts to vodacom and mtn and its the best thing I could have ever done. When you with vodacom and mtn you really then start to realize how useless telkom really is and that you don't need to have such issues in your life. No more unnecessary phone calls for hours, and still not getting your money back, to get a telkom staff to help you after you sign a contract is the hardest, once they have your money they dont want to hear from you, both in the store as well as the call centre. The same person that messes your contract up can't sort out his mess, also watch out for false advertising. Something they pride themselves in. I just hope telkom will do All South Africans a favour and close down as we are a better country without Telkom, in sure majority of our citizens who have telkom contracts will second me when I say it.”
“People really need to start paying attention to reviews, it's given for a reason. Telkom is by far the worst ISP ever in life. They bill incorrectly, they never resolve queries. They charge for subscriptions you never signed up for. THIS IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM and SCAM of all, these subscription range from R200 to R390 a month, you have to investigate because they don't bother and even when you provide them with proof, they still refuse to rectify their ongoing fraud and theft of customers money. R200 x12 = R2400 a year that telkom steals from customers, multiply that by 1000 customers a month, that is Fre R2.4 million they getting for illegal subscriptions. I would not recommend them for anything contract related. Their good signal is the only good thing about their service. If someone can tell me when last anyone downloaded or had a need to download wallpapers for their phones. that is what their subscriptions are for.”
“Cut off three times by call centre person, tring to cancel a line. Almost inaudible first woman. Then a guy I could hear, but he cut me off. Then another woman I could hear, who cut me off -- or they send you to a survey! As bad as Eskom. Furious that I actually used them for so long.”
“This is really the worst experience I ever had with any SP. I made altogether 13 calls ( From my Cellphone) to Telkom, No results at all nothing is resolved at all. This is beyond belief. Telkom is not good in any way especially not good for my Blood pressure. I am giving it up now. Goodbye Telkom”
“A call centre agent called me 2 weeks ago offering me the Fibre ( wifi) promotion @ R399 a month, took up about 10 minutes of my time, ended the conversation that I will be receiving a SMS confirming installation date. I waited, and waited, and waited but no SMS as promised. Today I went to a branch in Tableview mall to enquire only to learn that no order was loaded on the system. This is disgusting as I have been a long standing TELKOM client, and being messed around like this is unacceptable. What are these people doing to the business ? Why are they even employed by TELKOM ? This has inconvenienced me as I now am running short of data due to anticipated installation of wifi!!! I must say that the gentleman at the branch was extremely helpful and assisted me professionally.”
“Been phoning for over a week, 2/3 times a day and still zero care from Telkom it’s for my business and the more I need it to be fixed the longer that ignore me!

“Telkom Insurance cancellation.
I cancelled my insurance with Telkom on the 7th of May 2021 and the only canceled it on the 9th of June 2021. Still I'm being charged in July 2021 for insurance that I have cancelled 2months ago. Called Telkom and admin no one is helping me.
Worst insurance ever. I regret taking their insurance and contracts :(”
