I have not received my orders as of yet. Very excited tho. I live on the east coast, but from New Mexico. I miss the taste of home. I ordered 2 25 lb boxes.

I really don't have a review. I placed an order on a Friday night, on Monday I was notified my shipment wouldn't go out on Tuesday as planned, due to rains over the weekend. I was OK with that since we have no control over mother nature, so I will just patiently wait this week for my chile's.

Well, it's a little early to write a review as I have yet to receive my chili's. It appears Houston had a problem which delayed the shipment for a week or so. Still anxiously waiting for the chili's. Thank's for keeping me informed of the shipment status.

I only put 4 stars because my order was stolen off a truck according to the person I talked to from Hatch Chile Store, It was not their fault for the theft, but I had to call to find out what happened days after I was to receive the box of chile. I feel they should have known this and called or emailed me. When I did call and was given the info there was no record of them attempting to replace them. I did set up to have it sent out on the 30th of the month since that will work better for me. I did have it sent when it was the best time, but this will have to work. I have been using Hatch Chile since 1990 and buy enough for the year, this is the first time I have had a problem with this company! If I didn't have to call them I would have gave them 10's across the board if I could have.

Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if a box is not delivered unless UPS notifies us of a delivery exception. In your case, the box was not tagged as having a problem. Instead, as you saw, it just stopped having any updates to its status. We're filing a claim with UPS and re-shipping so I hope that is still a 5 start experience.

Over all it was great to get my order. However I paid and extra $20 for 3 day shipping, my mom who lives next door did not and she got hers the same day. So I'm kinda bummed having paid for the extra shipping and not needed it. The order was great, only 3 had small areas needing to be cut off. They smelled so good after having been on the hot truck all day, roasting starts tomorrow! !!!

Hi Kayla, I'm not sure why an on-time delivery of both of your family's orders would detract from your experience with us. We do not have any control over the experience customers receive with ground shipping and encourage them to only opt for 2-Day service, not 3-Day. Ground would have been an option for your order if you had chosen it at checkout.

This was my first time ordering from your site. I usually have someone in my family send me a gunny sack. My shipment was in excellent condition. Thank you for providing me quality chile. I'm from New Mexico so I'm very picky when it comes to chile. The temperature isn't hot at all. It taste mild rather than HOT. So I was disappointed about that. I should have ordered the extra hot. I eat chile in a tortilla like a sandwich with nothing else except salt and didn't taste any temperature in the random ones that I roasted. And I've eaten about 20 so far with no heat in any of them. So somewhat disappointed I spent that much money on only 25 lbs for mild chile. Other than that the chile has a good flavor.

Iris, the Hot we've been shipping is extremely hot. Are you de-veining the chile? All of the heat will be in the vein and should be more and more intense as you near the top of the pod. Send us some pictures of a few pods and we'll get to the bottom of this. Worse comes to worse, we'll ship you a new box. Best, Preston

Michelle, Unfortunately, farming chile isn't exactly like running a warehouse for Amazon. Things change quickly in the fields and pods turn red in a matter of days. We have to balance customers' desires to have a few days notice that their shipment is scheduled to go out with the reality that we can't guarantee the order is on the way until the chile has actually been picked. The email you received was not actually a shipment notification but an indication that your order was "scheduled to ship". On the day it was scheduled to go out, there was not enough quality product to fill your order so we immediately let you know that your order would be filled on the original time-frame you were given when it was placed. I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding as to what the email actually said. I'll give you a call shortly to make sure we're on the same page. Best, Preston
