“I've used Parcel Monkey 3 times. The first two deliveries were successful and on time. However, the third delivery (grad school applications with a very strict deadline) was not delivered at all. I followed up every day, with a standard 'we are waiting for a response from the warehouse' response for 2 weeks after its intended delivery and they pretty much stopped responding afterwards.”

“I booked a collection service to pick up goods I had bought on eBay. The item should have been. Collected on Tuesday and the sender waited in all day only for the parcel not be picked up. I contacted Parcelmonkey via their live chat system (thats a total lie, it took over an hour to reply!) and was "told" that the job was re booked for Thursday. I was not asked if that was convenient, I was just told. On Thursday the sender contacted me to say Hermes had collected the parcel ( though I had specified DX when booking) and then about 3 hours later I was contacted again to say DX had also turned up to pick up the parcel. I contacted Parcel monkey to ask what was going on and who actually had the parcel and they implied that I was mislead and they had nothing to do with Hermes. I pointed out that it was highly unlikely that a courier would turn up at a random house where there just happened to be a parcel for me and know my name and address! This seemed to confuse the Parcelmonkey operative( different one replying to each message) and this time I got a vague apology. I again asked who what where and when ref the parcel and was met by silence, no comment or reply. Then on Saturday I was informed from the sender that Hermes had just delivered the parcel they had picked up from him back to him!!! At this point I asked him to send it via Royal Mail and will now have to waste time getting a refund from Parcel monkey. Summing up never ever under any circumstances use these amateurs, either use a courier direct or use Royal Mail”
“I recently sent a parcel to myself from England to Greece. Once the item had been delivered I received an email from Parcel Monkey a couple of days later to say that the dimensions of a parcel I had sent were incorrect and they have charged an additional 30 GBP to my card. Luckily, I still had the box in my possession and was able to provide photographic evidence that the dimensions were in fact correct. Parcel Monkey have flatly refused to reimburse the additional charges and customer services simply ignore any correspondence. Will never make the mistake of using them again.”

I cannot get any information from Parcel Monkey. They simply dish out messages with platitudes & just say that they are awaiting details from the courier (DPD). They have now been awaiting for 2 weeks. I don't believe a word they tell me. Wish I had never used this company. They seem like a load of crooks! I did read good reviews on Trust Pilot. I suspect they direct purposely chosen satisfied customers there.”
“The only good thing about Parcel Monkey is their cheap price. Parcel to USA languishing somewhere - who knows where. The courier refuses to tell Parcel Monkey, obviously because they undercut the courier's prices so dramatically. The only means of communication with Parcel Monkey is via email - they have no phone access. Steer well clear and pay the extra money for a service that works.”
“Absolutely appalling company to deal with. Being a broker their job to correct the problems their agents do. I wanted to send a parcel to Australia but it never left the country and supposedly DPD spent some time trying to deliver to an address in UK despite saying AUSTRALIA. No phone contacts, just get email replies from clueless people. Now they have the cheek to charge me an extra 20 quid to have it returned to me. I will be taking these crooks to the small claims court.”

“tem delayed (adress went lost/distorted while handling the parcel from one courier to another) and badly damaged and they will not pay for it ( I could not check the parcel on time as I was travelling when it was arrived late!). Also pick up was delayed as they did not bother to com to my flat but just asked concierge.
when I asked to escalate the issue (at the end they were late and they damaged the parcel) this was the answer

“I sent an international parcel via Parcel Monkey, a few days later I was sent an email saying that the parcel was going to be returned to me as, 'it's contents are in contravention of our Terms and Conditions', and I would be charged an extra £5 for the return. They could not give any explanation of why it did not comply, when challenged. It transpired that Parcel Monkey had issued the wrong tracking number to the couriers they had used and the couriers rejected the parcel because of this, not because the parcel had a problem. A trawl around various consumer websites shows that other people appear to have experienced similar problems with Parcel Monkey. When pushed they only wanted to offer a partial refund. Avoid this incompetent bunch of cowboys.”

“No tracking available and they failed to anything after collection until I contacted to them on 7.10.16 to ask what was happening. Then there was some progress (it was xray scanned). Then nothing again and NOT delivered. Contacted parcel monkey via online chat - they claimed to enquire with the courier and that they had no update and then cut off the chat response. They claim not to have a telephone number for enquiries. Pathetic. If I had known they had such bad reviews earlier from others I would not have used. Still waiting for update and given their customer service and literally monkey like dont care attitude it is likley a worse review will follow. they seem to be genuinely monkeys by name and monkeys by nature”
“My experience with Parcel Monkey has been awful. Trying to ship an item from UK to Abu Dhabi. Has been 3 weeks now and nothing. The courrier they used (DPD) only picked up one of two boxes and Parcel Monkey took two weeks to finally get the other collected. Then they had it returned to sender. Parcel Monkey staff don't care at all. Insincere apologies via a messenger chat room is all you get. No telephone number to speak to someone. They don't answer your questions. They also go to lengths to explain that they are not the service provider and so cannot be blamed yet the courier will not deal with me directly because Parcel Monkey is their customer not me. Terrible experience. Never again.”
“I sent a parcel with Parcel Monkey and before booking I did a search on their restricted items for console table to ensure this was not on their list and thankfully nothing was flagged, I paid extra insurance to ensure my parcel was fully covered in case of damage. I heard from my customer that unfortunately the console table had been severely damaged so I pit a claim in and low and behold they are saying the item is not covered!! apparently they do not cover 'tables' yet this is not a 'table' and worse still this did not flag up as restricted. I paid nearly £40 for this to be sent to my customer and now I may have to pay out over £100 in compensation! I will be going to the office of fair trading as this is obviously some kind of scam to ensure items are not flagged as restricted enticing the customer to pay for a service they clearly aren't going to get. Shame on you!”
“Absolutely terrible. A time sensitive delivery - they picked up my documents a day late, mis-routed them to the wrong country, messed up the customs forms then returned them to me after 8 days saying they couldn't deliver them. Took two weeks and 8 separate requests after this including reporting them to Trading Standards and threatening Small Claims Court to get my money back. Only online support is available where they instantly transfer all responsibility to the courier and claim as a third party they can do nothing to assist. Attaching your delivery to a pigeon and crossing your fingers has an equal if not better chance of getting it there than using these clowns. Shambolic from start to finish. Avoid!”
