We were in the lounge about an hour after it opened. We couldn't sit in the quiet area because the air con was blowing out cold air which made it an unpleasant environment. We had to sit elsewhere. It was very noisy with a group of people who were already well oiled!!! The food was ok.The staff were mostly friendly. It might be a good idea to acknowledge people waiting at the reception desk whilst talking on the phone. We were ignored for too long. We use lounges to get a breather from the airport noise and bustle, not to drink as much as possible, This experience was not worth the money. Our previous experience was much better. Am beginning to think we are covering the cost of people who go there to drink.

I found the lounge comfortable but the staff weren't very helpful especially when food plates, cups and cutlery had to be constantly requested to be replenished. Unfortunately there was no comparison to Singapore Airlines Departure Lounge.

Since you changed from self serve drinks to a staffed bar I find the experience has gone down hill, also on my visit your ice machine was not working properly so your apologetic staff had to ration ice to us all,,two little cubes in my G/T mmmm lovely!!. Also when we arrived, there were no seats available,,slightly overbooked I feel?!? My wife and I have used your lounge for many years and used to enjoy our time with you. But alas,, our last time there left a dissapointed feeling with us and will try ' escape ' next year.

Disappointing breakfast very average bacon rolls awful pastries and no cheese or ham. no toilets had to walk to main toilets would not pay for this lounge again after experiencing lounges at other airports.

I was disappointed on this visit as I had to ask for ice, tonic (which wasn't cold when I got it) the selection of snacks was rather depleted too, could do better.

Extremely crowded and well below the standard of other lounges at T2. I will not be repeating unless there is no availability elsewhere.

The lounge was okay, but had a very limited and basic selection of food and snacks compared with other airport lounges I have used. On that basis I have to rate it poor.

We arrived in the lounge in the mid afternoon. There was hardly anything to eat apart from small packets of cheese and crackers and poor quality crisps. Unlike the escape lounge, the soft drinks were in large bottles and every single bottle had been opened and used. 90% of the drinks were flat. I wouldn't visit that lounge again but would highly recommend the Escape lounge.

The "new" layout was cold, quite literally, and sterile. The food on offer was limited and the soup was cold and tasteless. It was extremely cold in the lounge (January 2014) and when I asked about the lack of heat I was told the heating is broken, no apology or apparent attempts to obtain alternative heating by the time we were there early afternoon. I had taken my 82 year old mother and a 72 year old Aunty with me and I was very disappointed at the attitude of the staff. My many previous visits to the "old" lounge had been a pleasure and as a single traveller I always felt comfortable and welcomed, so much so I had always recommended the lounge to family and friends, needless to say I was embarrassed on this visit when I had elderly family with me.

The lounge did not open on time, it was 15 minutes late. At that time of the morning waiting around is not helpful. The lounge had not been cleaned properly, initially a refuse bag was by the door and eventually cleared away, the carpet did not look freshly vacuumed. The bar was poorly stocked with no ice available and the majority of mixers were in half to two thirds empty bottles, obviously carried over from the previous day. Needless to say the mixers were flat. Hot food was not available until 55 mins after entering. Overall an expensive and poor experience.

We were very disappointed on our second visit to the lounge as we thought that the staff were not very pleasant and did not offer good customer service. They did not smile or make you feel welcoming .When questions were asked about the sandwiches we got a sharp reply back I thought the food lacked variety and choice and was not very appetising…. We have made a decision not to use the lounge again because of the poor experience..

Having used this service before, both here and London, Gatwick. I was very surprised and disappointed at the difference between my two visits to the Manchester lounges. Despite booking, the lounge seemed overbooked as the seating was full. We'd booked to have a relaxing hour before a long haul flight (New Jersey). we waited 18 minutes before a seat became available. It was only 16 months since our last visit and remembered the quality of food on offer. How wrong we were to expect the same quantity and quality, this service was very poor. I'm so disappointed that I'm not sure I'll use the service again or in-fact recommend it.

In response to my complaint regarding Terminal 1 Aspire Lounge on Sunday 13 April 2014 Susan Halliday offered me a complimentary entrance for two. I did email Susan when we were going to Berlin in September but received no confirmation that it was alright to use the Lounge. We are going to Lapland on 9 December 2014 and would like to use the complimentary access. Could some-one confirm that this will in order.

The lounge we stayed in at Manchester airport was very tired and lacked the high standard we were used to in other airport lounges. The furnishings were not very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very limitted and some of the cerials had run out. There were no croissants or pastries left. In short it was very basic and not good value.

Used lounge on several occasions but found recent visit quite disappointing, overcrowded. noisy, no receptionist on arrival and generally not satisfactory and overpriced. Would not use lounge or recommend it again.

Given the cost for 2 people and the time of day I would have expected more. Half of the plug sockets/usb ports were not working. The food available was poor and minimal and I would not use or recommend this service on any future travel.

I have been using your facilities for the last 15 years, in the early days your standards were excellent and good value for money. Unfortunately over the last few years standards have dropped, although your charges have continued to increase, I no longer consider your services to be good value for money. In addition, although your advertisements for the lounges state that those using your facilities should be smart casual dress. On the last two occasions, this and last year most of your customers have not been dressed in a appropriate manner, and your staff have still allowed these people into the lounge. It is such a great pity.

staff very unhelpful. Nothing for my daughter to eat. She can't have milk or white bread. Food listed online, not in the lounge. Overall a very disappointing visit.

Less than welcoming receptionist, who were reluctant to help in confirming the booking and greeting customers. Quiet areas were invaded by less than quiet young children. Coffee machines provided poor quality beverages and the supply of cups had run dry. Bacon sandwiches were kept warm for far too long making them less appetising. Only one newspaper was available and no magazines at all! All-in-all a poor start to our holiday, and one which we will not repeat.

Very tired decor, not interested staff, no concept that 'they' are providing 'you' with a service. Have a look at other lounges, learn from leading service based industries and look at the dated and tired decor of this lounge. Create an inspirational concept and combine this with staff excellence - then charge appropriately for this concept. There's huge demand and you'd clean up. Over to you...
